The Vampire's Love: You Are My Destiny

Chapter 279 - Master Plan

The following day.

The four gathered around the dining table to eat breakfast.

After breakfast is over, Graven and Elva disappeared into the bedroom again, discussing their plan of rescuing Graven's men and Luke's spirit underneath the castle.

Terros looked at Veronica. "Is there any way we can hear and see what they're talking about inside the bedroom?"

Veronica shrugged. "That's going to be rude. Why don't you watch over the bubble on the terrace while I'm washing the dishes? I'm sure if the couple is finished talking about the plan, Graven will tell you everything, okay?"

"Brilliant idea!" Terros replied with a grin and a thumb up. He stood up and left the kitchen, going to the terrace.

Veronica gathered the dirty dishes and began washing them in the sink.

Meanwhile, inside Elva's room.

The couple was facing each other at the table.

Elva raised her hand, and a black garment appeared in her palm. "This is my master plan!" she said and put the garment on the table.

Graven examined the garment and was shocked to see that is a guy's undergarment. "What's this?" he ended up chuckling while holding the brief in his hands. "I'm going to save my men and my brother's spirit with this garment?" he asked in astonishment.

Elva smiled sweetly, as she watched the disbelief, shocked and amusing expression on Graven's face. "Don't disparage that undergarment!" she said with a pout.

Graven looked at the serious expression on the goddess's face. "Um...okay. Can you please explain to me how can I use this piece of undergarment to help my mission?" he inquired, eager to learn what is the exact plan of the goddess. He finds everything amusing though.

Elva opened her palm again. A yellow handkerchief embroidered with flowers appeared in her palm, and she put it beside the undergarment.

Graven looked at the yellow handkerchief. His brows knitted together in confusion. "How can I used them, Elva?" he asked curiously.

"Good question! Let me start with the undergarment first!" she said and began explaining its uses... then next... the important role of the handkerchief.

Graven listened attentively to the goddess's instruction. One hour later, he finally sees the brilliance of her strategy. He can't wait to go to the castle and execute the deity's plan.

The strategy is so damn simple! It sounds flawless and unbelievable!

In the next one hour, they discussed all the things that could go wrong at the last minute and what to do just in case things wouldn't go as planned.

They have a lengthy discussion about Plan B and Plan C.

By the time they left the room, they were both hungry and thirsty.

Veronica readied the refreshment in the kitchen for the couple. She left them and joined Grandpa Terros on the terrace.

Terros examined Luke's body inside the bubble. He wore a bright smile on his face.

Veronica went to his side and asked, "Grandpa, why are you smiling?"

"Look at Luke's skin! The dark splotches were fading away!" Terros exclaimed in gladness.

"Yes, indeed!" Veronica agreed.

"The goddess is awesome! It's our blessing to have her on our side!" he gushes. "I can imagine now the happiness on Graven's face after seeing his brother's body starting to heal!" he said merrily.

Veronica feels happy, loving the smile on Grandpa Terros's face.

They continue observing Luke's body.

After eating their snack, the couple went back into the room for the final rundown on their strategy.

At 5:00 in the afternoon, Elva finally concluded their conversation. "Good luck, Graven! I hope you will succeed with your mission!" she said, her eyes shimmering.

"Thank you so much, Elva! I owe you a lot. One day I will repay your kindness!" he said.

Elva smiled and caresses her baby bump. "Don't mention it!"

The couple exited the bedroom and went to the terrace.

They went to the location of the bubble and inspected Luke's condition.

"Wow, the green powder was almost gone! And look at that... my brother's skin is finally returning to normal! This is a miracle!" Graven beamed happily. He looked at the deity. "Thank you so much, Elva, for all your help!" he said, his voice was overflowing with gratitude.

Elva looked at him sweetly and said, "It's my pleasure helping you, guys! You deserved my help!"

Veronica addressed the men. "You want to go home now? Or stay here for another night?" she asked.

Terros looked at the deity. "We're ashamed to impose on your kindness and graciousness again, Elva. We're going home today," he replied.

"Alright, you can leave anytime. Much better if you will leave the bubble here for a few days so that I can observe Luke's body for any sudden changes. With his current condition, it's easier to treat him if he's here in my place," Elva offered.

Terros and Graven looked at each other.

"I agree. Then I have to trouble you, Elva, to watch over my brother for a few days while we are busy with our rescue mission. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart!" Graven spoke, his eyes shone with appreciation.

Elva smiled. "Don't mention it. Alright, guys. I have to go back now to my room for a much-needed rest. I will leave Veronica to see you off," she said. "Bye, guys! Take care on your way back home!"

"Bye Elva, rest well!" the men said in unison.

They watched the goddess entered the door and disappeared inside the house.

Graven looked at Veronica. "Please watched over my brother for me," he requested politely.

"Sure, I will!" Veronica replied.

"We will go now," Terros spoke.

"Bye, guys! Take care!" Veronica responded.

Graven looked at his brother's body inside the bubble for the last time, feeling assured that no matter what's going to happen, he is in good hands.

The men nodded at each other and vanished from the terrace in the blink of an eye.

Veronica lowered herself on the lounge chair, admiring the spectacular scenery in front of her.

...

A few minutes later.

The men arrived at the bamboo house.

They climbed the stairs and entered the house.

Terros looked at Graven and asked, "Son, do you want to sleep here for the night? Or do you want to go home?"

"I'll stay here for the night, Grandpa. I'll go home tomorrow morning to my wife," Graven replied.

"Good! Since the night is fast approaching, I'll go to the kitchen to fix something for dinner," Terros said and walked towards the kitchen.

"I'll help you, Grandpa!" Graven offered.

"Sure!" Terros replied, and they proceed to the kitchen.

Graven boiled rice in the pot while Terros opened two preserve canned fish from the cupboard and sliced spices and tomatoes on the chopping board.

Half an hour later, the men finished cooking their delicious dinner and began eating with gusto.

Terros was dying to know what is the deity's plan. "Son, can you tell me now what is Elva's plan about the rescue?" he asked.

"Sure! I'll tell you everything, Grandpa! After we finished eating our meals," Graven responded with a smile.

"Son, you look better today compared to when we first come to the Windless Mountain. Before we go there you are looking desperate, problematic, and suicidal, but now your face lighted up and you look energetic and inspired. Tell me, is the deity's plan - awesome and brilliant?" Terros pressed for more information.

"Yes, Grandpa!" Graven gave him a thumb up. "Women think differently than men. They can create and think brilliant ideas that sometimes men overlook. Elva was able to think of a better plan because she is not involved in the situation and her mind is not problematic like mine. Therefore her mind can think freely, unlike me, who is ready to commit suicide just to put an end to my complicated situation. She was able to devise a better plan than you and me because she had an entirely different view of the whole situation," he explained.

"Alright, it better be good!" Terros said. "By the way, shall I continue making the spell array of destruction that would pulverize the whole castle?" he asked.

"Yes. Do it as early as possible. Let's finish the castle, just the two of us. I won't bring my men with me to avoid having more casualties just in case something goes wrong. Can we do it, Grandpa? Just the two of us?" Graven challenged him.

"Yes, of course! We can do it! The lesser people involved, the safer, the better! We only have ourselves to think about, and we can move according to what we think and plan and not worrying about others. Things will be easier that way. We can go all the way if needed," Terros replied.

"That's what I'm also thinking, Grandpa," said Graven. "Let's go to the balcony now so that I can explain your role in the deity's plan. You must also have an idea what's going on down there while I'm rescuing my men and my brother's spirit," he spoke.

"Okay," Terros responded with a smile, feeling excited to hear the deity's plan.

The men went to the balcony and settled on the wooden bench.

"Let's get started!" Graven said and opened his palm. A black undergarment and yellow handkerchief appeared in his palm. "This is the deity's master plan!" he said with a smile.

"Oh! That... what kind of plan is this?" Terros erupted in peals of laughter, doubling over.

Graven joined in Grandpa's laughter.

After some time, their laughter died.

"Seriously? This is what you call the master plan?" Terros mouth twisted in amusement.

"Yeah, it is! These garments are all we need to rescue the men and my brother!" Graven replied confidently.

Terros scrutinized the garments again with a serious face, trying hard not to laugh. He scratched his head in bewilderment and looked at Graven. "Son, you better start explaining now because I'm confused as hell!" he demanded.

Then his nose picked up something in the air... a fragrance... it smells so nice!

"Where do those smells come from?" Terros asked in confusion.

A few seconds later, his nose finally found the origin of the smell! It's the yellow handkerchief producing a wonderful intoxicating smell, making him feel so good.

A bright smile appeared on Graven's face.
