After some consideration, Aion decided to use the Warrior class. While he didn't use that class often, he decided that it would be the time for that since the hammer was pretty sturdy, and he could use it to block long-ranged attacks. The swordsman and the archer were good at that, so it felt natural… Although it was weird to hold the weapon.
Furious Hammer: A skill that makes you spin and hit several enemies at the same time in a short window of time.
Toss Hammer: Toss your weapon at the target, making it spin, and hit the target three times before returning.
Fury: At the cost of ten points of health per second, you receive a powerful boost in strength, endurance, and speed that will be equal to the level of the skill multiplied by three.
Warrior's Aura: decrease the power of physical damage by two points per level.
Fire Resistance: Decreases the power of all fire-related attacks by one point per level.
Cold Resistance: Decreases the power of all ice-related attacks by one point per level.
Shock Resistance: Decreases the power of all electricity-related attacks by one point per level.
The warrior class has some resistance to magic, so in that regard, it was better than the berserker class. With Fury, the power boost that Aion could receive was even greater. However, it came with a cost… the cost in blood. Aion would lose health over time, after all. Even by decreasing the cost by eighty percent. Aion couldn't keep that skill active for more than seven minutes… that without considering the damage that he could receive from the enemies.
"At this point in time… it is useless to keep hiding that weapon, so I will stop," Aion thought when he summoned the hammer.
Aion already proved his strength when he won the tournament, so he didn't have to pretend that he didn't have such an amazing relic. In that kingdom, no one was crazy enough to face him when he could use powerful magic and he could defeat most people in a duel. Still, the same couldn't be said beyond the borders…
"I suppose this will make them target me even more. This will be useful," Aion thought.
People around frowned when they saw Aion's hammer, it was rather short, and the head was bigger if compared to the usual Warhammers. Moreover, it was completely silver in color. If that wasn't a magic weapon, they didn't know what it was. Regardless, Aion rested with his back against one of the numerous trees around the camp. Despite the fact that he was going to participate in one hell of a battle, he managed to take quite a good nap.
After that, Aion had some light dinner before heading to the central tent of the camp. Jagger and Vanessa were already there and ready to move. Richard Histart showed up a few minutes later, clad in armor and with a short ax in hand. He at least could walk well with all that weight, so he wasn't all talk.
"We will attack right now. They aren't expecting an attack at this hour, and they are probably having dinner, so they will waste some time reading the troops outside and inside the camp," Richard declared.
That made sense, but also, that would mean that Aion's first attack would affect fewer people, and it would be harder to find the two targets. He will need to use his magic for that. After thinking for a short while, he concluded that they would have to arrive sneakily and then attack those two and force them to outside the city… it would be perfect if Aion could use ice magic, attack a lot of soldiers and also freeze one of the entrances of the city.
"Don't let the moves around be too obvious," Aion said. "It will take a short while to arrive in the city and find them. Once you notice some movements on the walls, you should give the order for everyone to move."
"Who do you think you are talking to? I already know such an obvious thing," Richard said.
"Well then, let's get going," Aion said and then created a small earth platform and then jumped in.
"... Isn't that too small?" Jagger said.
"I am saving mana for the real attack," Aion said. "If you are that afraid of falling, I can put some bars around."
"You have some nerve, kid. Do you think you can act all high and mighty just because you won against me once?" Jagger asked.
"No bars around then," Aion said.
Jagger clicked his tongue since he was ignored and made fun of at the same time. Still, he didn't hesitate to jump into the platform, and then Vanessa did the same. Both of them felt uneasy about letting someone younger take the reins of things. Still, Vanessa could only make herself fly, and Jagger couldn't do anything about it.
Slowly, Aion made the platform high in the sky until it disappeared in the darkness of the night. They approached a cloud and hid above it while they moved toward the city. Despite their fears, the platform was as steady as it could be, and the night wind didn't make them tremble that much as they approached their destination. In the end, they began to fly downward and landed in a random dark alley with ease… no one noticed their arrival.
