Chapter 77 Boundless Restoration? Part 2
77 Boundless Restoration? Part 2
It was already too late…
....
If they interfered in the process of Azmond's bond with Boundless Restoration, then their fates would not be pretty ones.
Going through all that trouble only to end up offending a force they couldn't contend with was not worth it in their eyes.
Letting the human forge a connection with the ancient scripture was also not an option they could afford to let happen.
However, they were confident that the human mortal would never be able to survive the information transmission of Boundless Restoration.
At least, that's what they wanted to force themselves to believe, but no matter how much they tried to convince themselves that the human would never make it out of the transmission process alive,
In the end, they knew that there was always a chance that he could persevere through adversity.
Boundless Restoration was not a skill that required the user to be extremely powerful after all. It was a skill with only one requirement.
The willingness to embrace pain.
Yes, you had to be able to experience pain that would make even the gods weep tears of blood before ultimately dying of shock.
You had to be a masochist that has never appeared in the entire history of forever...
Thor and Loki knew this fact. They just refused to believe that a mere mortal on the lowest level of existence would be able to achieve something that they could not.
It was more of an innate pride within them that formed into a firm belief that told them they would always be superior.
Beings higher on the existence scale always had their chauvinistic ways show through when they encountered beings who they considered less than them.
It was just the way it was.
That was what made this entire situation even more unbelievable for Thor and Loki. Their deep rooted pride that stemmed from all the higher beings that came before was what left them awestruck.
Flabbergasted at a being so low that they found ants stronger in comparison. A being like that was truly attempting to do something they could not.
Thor and Loki had both touched Boundless Restoration in the past. Yet, they couldn't even make it past the third page before they were out cold, with new scars to remind them of their failures.
...
Another three days pass by in the blink of an eye...
"...Mhm..." Azmond awoke with a muddled mind as he looked around him and saw the unfamiliar scenery.
He tried to recall how he got here, and suddenly he remembered exactly what happened. "Oh, I tried touching that book with the funny chicken on it. Went through hell and back, and somehow I made it out of that in one piece. I'm pretty sure I passed into the afterlife somewhere along the way as well." He spoke in a flat tone as he rubbed his temples.
"Fate sure is a b*tch, huh? Just when I thought that I was finally getting used to any sort of pain that was thrown at me, Fate decides to hurl a curveball that hits me right across my handsome face." Azmond's voice echoed out as a wry smile began to form on his face.
*Sigh* "Well, it is what it is. The fact that I didn't permanently die from the pain is a plus, so there's that." He spoke in a reassuring tone before getting up off the makeshift chair.
He took one good look around and saw the same interior of the tiny hut with no major changes. Besides one thing,
The book was missing...
"Where did the book with the funny chicken on it go...?" He asked with a puzzled expression.
"Wait, that transmission of information earlier... Could it be?" Azmond formulated a theory inside his head as he checked the inside of his body with his divine sense.
He looked around before he finally saw something…
He saw a new object floating around inside his Dantian space. An object that he found quite familiar for some reason.
"How did the funny chicken book get inside my Dantian space??" A weary expression emerged on his face as he started to question his defenses.
"How could something invade my most vital area without my being aware of it??" He was truly starting to believe that any rock, stick, or piece of paper could enter inside him if they so felt like it.
"I guess I should work on improving my soul defenses when I get back. Lest I end up absorbing something that could kill me." Azmond spoke with a resolute face before deciding to refocus his attention back on the new object.
An object that was now interlinked with his Dantian space.
He interacted with the book using his divine sense and suddenly got a piece of information sent to him.
"Boundless Restoration, huh?" The book within Azmond seemed to resonate with him when it heard its name.
"What an interesting name." He spoke with a small smile before continuing to look through some more information.
Most of the knowledge contained within Boundless Restoration was sealed away from him. It was sealed by Azmond's body without his knowledge as a self protection method for fear of him taking in too much information that he couldn't handle all at once.
He scanned through the available information that was provided to him in small bits and pieces until he got the main points behind this technique.
The name of the technique was Boundless Restoration!
It was a skill that Azmond couldn't even begin to fathom the level of. What he did, however, know was that this technique was split into many levels, with most of those levels hidden away from him until it became relevant.
Nevertheless, he did get information about the first two levels of the technique.
Level 0 and level 1.
Level 0 was where those fortunate enough to learn this technique would start out. They would need to take on as much pain as possible before they could advance into the first level of Boundless Restoration.
"So this is some sort of masochistic technique??" A quizzical voice echoed out of him, as he really couldn't understand this skill.
"What does it give in return for all the pain you need to endure to advance in it? It must give something of notice as compensation, right?" Azmond asked himself before resuming his inspection of the information he was receiving.
He learned that Boundless Restoration was a healing technique of the highest caliber. It was at such a high level that he couldn't even believe what he was reading.
"Level 0 of this technique already allows you to regenerate lost fingers and small appendages??? Without even reaching the first official level of Boundless Restoration, the user is already able to gain such a boon?!?" An astonished expression overtook his chiseled features as the more he read. The more ludicrous he found this technique to be,.
"Level 1 allows the user to completely regenerate their entire body within record times as long as their head and heart are left intact?!?" His indifferent face slowly started to crumble as he couldn't believe something so overpowered could be categorized as the first level of anything.
