The Strongest Conquest System

Chapter 397: Your Dragon!?

....

The number of clones that one could make in the Mahayana Realm was all relative, as someone talented could make dozens at the Absolute Peak of the Peak Mahayana Realm.

While someone inept would be incapable of even conjuring up a few clones

And there was also the matter concerning the strength of these clones, as not everyone was allotted '100% strength' for their clones.

Some of the less fortunate Mahayana Realm Ancestors were only able to split '20-25% strength' among one or multiple clones.

Clawdia, on the other hand, was considered a supreme genius for being able to summon twenty clones with a total strength boost of 100%!

But regardless of the details involving the Mahayana Realm, all the girls listened intently to Clawdia's explanation.

Even Clawdia herself didn't know why she was doing so much for her 'enemies', but when she thought about maybe garnering some brownie points with Azmond through this act, she became a little wet

And that was all the reason she needed to tell them this knowledge!

Meanwhile, in a dimly lit room filled with lamp lights of varying colors and various paintings, a tall man in a fox mask and an old man were looking over the bed of a sickly woman.

The woman herself appeared like she was once quite the beauty; however, the darkened bags under her eyes and the black streaks spread throughout her skin had already tarnished her once pristine appearance.

Azmond looked at the status screen of the woman before he suddenly heard the voice of the City Lord:

"She has been like this for years now... And those back lines in her skin have only worsened over time" He spoke with a saddened expression as his hands reached for her frail fingers.

"She is the only thing I love in this world... If this 'cure-all' can't save her, then I'll have nothing left to live for And then"

Eldric's voice became a little cracked toward the end as his eyes dulled.

*Pat Pat*

Azmond patted him on the shoulder before he said, "Don't worry, old dude. I possess a special set of eyes, and I've already determined the cause of her disease."

"You have!?" The City Lord exclaimed.

"Yes. And I can tell you for certain that your wife will be just fine. After all, it turns out this 'disease' was just something that the small-time 'Half-Step Unity Form Synthesis Realm Basilisk General' had set up."

Azmond's voice echoed across the large and gloomy room as he activated his Discerning Quantum Eye once again.

And what he saw was the same thing, telling him that the Basilisk who had started the original Beast Wave was the one who had used a certain type of 'Monster drug' on Ariana.

Azmond wasn't too sure on the specifics from the basilisk's side, but he could discern at least that much from what he got from Ariana's status screen.

"It was that bastard!?" The City Lord roared.

However, he quickly calmed himself down when he realized that he was in his wife's chambers.

"I can't believe everything was set up by him right from the beginning" Eldric muttered, fury evident in his voice.

"Yeah, it sort of surprised me as well. But in the end, it's the truth, and I suggest you get over it soon, considering that he's already dead," Azmond replied.

"But what about Clawdia Moonweaver, who set all this up!?"

The City Lord's killing intent was about to be unleashed in full!

But before it could, Azmond's hand came crashing down as he said, "It wasn't her fault. She wasn't the one who ordered that Basilisk to do anything. In fact, she was the one who gave me this panacea."

Azmond acted quickly when he felt Eldric's killing intent, and he didn't want him to accidentally let a 'slur' or 'curse' slip when speaking of Clawdia.

For if he did, well Azmond would have to kill one of the friends he had made in this world

Luckily, he caught him in time before he let something like that slip!

...

"..." The City Lord felt the firm grasp on his shoulder, saw the twitching look on Azmond's face, and knew that he had nearly screwed up.

But more than that, Eldric was surprised by the immense level of physical strength that he possessed in that hand of his!

"Have you become stronger, young man?" The City Lord asked.

He had refrained from scanning Azmond with his divine sense out of courtesy, but now he was becoming quite curious about his power.

Azmond loosened his grip on the City Lord before he replied, "I have indeed become stronger since the last time we met."

WAAAA!

Following his words, he released an aura that was at the very peak of the Unity Form Synthesis Realm!

"T-This is You went from the Early Unity Form Synthesis Realm to the Peak Unity Form Synthesis Realm in less than two years!?"

Eldric couldn't believe what he was seeing! How could someone possibly increase their strength so tremendously within a short span of two years!?

However, upon realizing this fact, another topic appeared in his mind.

And he blurted out what he was thinking as he asked, "Then that object in the sky??"

"It's my dragon," Azmond responded immediately.

"Your Dragon!?"

The City Lord was receiving one shocking discovery after another!

If he said anything else so baffling, then Eldric might just have a heart attack right then and there!

"Anyway, old dude, are you ready to use this panacea yet?" Azmond interrupted his thoughts with a question.

The City Lord wanted to know what had happened since the young man ventured forth into the Luminous Grounds, but he was more concerned with his wife.

"Yes. I'll need you to explain what you went through later; however, for now, could you please hold her down with your Qi?" Eldric asked.

"Yes," Azmond replied.

Following his confirmation, he released his Qi.

An immense level of crimson-colored energy exploded out of him as he used it to keep a tight hold on Ariana's unconscious body.

Unless she was a secret Mahayana Realm cultivator in disguise, then she'd never be able to escape his Qi hold.

And fortunately for him, her realm was only in the Void Refining Realm
