Chapter 339: Initial Stages Of The Fifth Cataclysm Tribulation Transcendence Realm
....
Azmond went on to explain that they wouldn't die and that he was strong enough to stop Zargoroth; however, even after he thoroughly explained it to them, the monster queen's still left open the option of 'one last time before we die'.
He eventually gave up on changing their warped way of thinking as he could smell the liquids leaking out of their holy caves, so he simply looked toward Ember and said, "Can you take care of this woman until I get back?"
"???" Ember was a little confused over why she would be asked such a thing, but she wasn't one to deny a chance to prove herself, so she responded, "Yes, I can take care of her."
A slight tinge of disappointment welled up within her when the man she liked asked her to watch over another woman, but she wouldn't let such things get to her.
After all, she and the rest of the she-devils were hundreds, if not thousands of years old; they were not some little kids who pitched a fit when they didn't get their way.
Though that didn't mean they weren't a little saddened by the fact that they weren't going to die.
They really want to have that 'one last time' before they all 'died'...
-
Azmond bid farewell to the girls before he looked toward the layer of the atmosphere with a red dot in the middle.
CRACK!
The ground beneath him started to crack as he bent his legs before...
BOOOOOOOM!
He sprang up like a broken coil, reaching levels surpassing light speed!
It didn't take him long before he was standing just below the Colossus, which was Zargoroth.
"..." Zargoroth noticed the presence of Azmond, but in his mind, it was already too late.
|Annihilation Beam|!
The fiendish energy beam had already shot out from Zargoroth's horns as it headed straight for the spec of dust and, subsequently, the ruby-like desert below.
"..." Azmond's emotionless gaze looked up at the plummeting beam of absolute destruction as he crouched down a little.
"It's too late to kowtow to this grandfather now!! You shall learn to understand when one is superior to yourself!!!" Zargoroth sneered with a sardonic grin on his face.
It was obvious that he thought Azmond was bending over so as to beg for his life; however, that was the furthest thing from reality.
"What are you jabbering about, you big doofus?" Azmond asked with a cold gleam in his eyes.
The annihilation beam was only a few meters away from his face, but it was like he didn't even care about its existence.
"!?!?" Zargoroth could no longer see the figure of Azmond through the beam, but he heard that scornfully mocking voice of his.
And that was enough to tip him over the edge, as he roared, "DIEE!!!!!!"
The energy he inputted into the Annihilation Beam increased even further as he dumped a good chunk of his life force into that attack.
And if it hit the Twentieth Floor, then it was likely to destroy at least a tenth of the hundreds of millions of miles that made up the Floor!
Which made Zargoroth's all-out attack on the same level as a world killer!
"..." Azmond could feel the searing heat burn away at his skin, but he ignored the pain and continued his crouching before he uttered, "You never did say you wanted both legs or your life, so I think I'll take both."
WAAAAA!!
His proclamation was followed by an insanely powerful energy being released from him as he heard a system notification ring out.
BLING!
*Ding!* *You have gained experience +50,000,000 from Villager A*
*Ding!* *You have leveled up!*
*Ding!* *Your utmost combat power has increased from the Absolute Peak of the Fourth Cataclysm of Tribulation Transcendence to the Initial Stages of the Fifth Cataclysm of Tribulation Transcendence!*
OOOM!
A crimson-colored energy, dozens of times stronger than Zargoroth's power, was unleashed from Azmond!
"!?!?!?" Zargoroth stopped his sinister laughter as he felt the extreme level of energy oozing out of the ant.
He was taken aback for a second before he regained his bearings.
He didn't understand how the human's strength had increased so much, but it didn't matter since the Annihilation Beam had already made contact with his body!
"Your strength gain means nothing if you're already dead before you get to use it, hahaha!!!"
A loud and raucious, annoying laughter escaped Zargoroth's devil-like face as he looked at the incineration path of his Annihilation Beam.
However, he never would've been able to anticipate what happened next.
SLASH!
The sound of a blade slicing through the air reverberated as something completely unexpected occurred.
"!?!?!?"
Zargoroth's eyes opened wide, as what he expected to be complete and utter destruction turned into his Annihilation Beam being split at the center!
SHING! SHING! SHING!
The Annihilation Beam was split through the middle before the massive amount of fiendish energy that made it up was splintered and shot in every direction!
BOOM! BOOM BOOM!
The smaller pieces of the Annihilation Beam crash landed on the Twentieth Floor, resulting in the millions of miles of land having craters of varying sizes spread throughout.
"....." Zargoroth looked at this spectacle with disbelief etched across his face.
It was supposed to be a flawless attackan attack that should've been unblockable even by someone in the Absolute Peak Fourth Cataclysm of the Tribulation Transcendence Realm!
And yet
A lone figure over one hundred thousand meters in height, with flowing white robes and long black hair, stood with a sword in hand at the center of where the Annihilation Beam should've hit.
"..." Azmond sheathed his katana before his ice-cold gaze locked onto Zargoroth.
"!!!!!!!!!" Zargoroth realized that he was going to die, and it was that realization that drove him to...
Flee!
WHIZZ!!
His one-legged figure fled in the direction of the south as he ran away at full speed!
'No way am I going back to the Overseers after this failure! But there is also no way in hell that I will continue fighting that monster either!' He thought with sweat raining down his city-sized face.
