Chapter 2941 - The Fall Of A Deity 3
Chapter 2941 The Fall Of A Deity 3
Her heart ached at the thought of her fondest memory. Gently, a warm droplet of water dripped from her cheek on to the back of her hand.
She stared at the droplet of water blankly and was surprised that she was actually tearing up.
Gu Xijiu’s sudden heartfelt emotion of pain and regret was nothing like what she had experienced before. It was as if a nice had been stabbed into her heart from before but was being twisted around. She had never experienced it before in her life.
The catastrophic thunderbolts from before had almost killed her. However, it seemed that her survival was, in turn, rewarded with the awakening of her emotions; unfortunately, pain and torments were all that she could feel, and she became overwhelmed with great distress.
Di Fuyi…
Di Fuyi…
You and I were never destined to be together, after all.
Gu Xijiu closed her eyes to process her sorrow.
Meanwhile, she started to experience frequent loss of consciousness, while her body slowly became frozen. She could no longer suppress the overflow of her power and even some of her soul.
Her eyelashes were already frozen into ice at this point, and so was her body. Slowly, she was losing all of her senses.
Her circulation had completely shut down, while her power continued to drain from her body. Eventually, she would not be able to feel anything and fall into an eternity of darkness.
It was finally time.
She took her last breath and managed to make her way onto the altar. Her robes started to dance around as if pushed by an invisible force. With one last look, her eyes lingered on the six worlds for the very last time as she let out a bitter smile on her face.
Gu Xijiu certainly loved the world that she created, and now she was ready to die for it.
With her eyes closed, the array formation became activated, and Gu Xijiu found herself encapsulated in a streak of seven-colored ray.
…
The seven-colored jade door was slightly ajar, and the strong currents of power from within the hall started to overflow, thus pushing anyone standing a hundred meters from it.
The crane boy who stayed to guard the place had to stay away by hiding behind a big rock.
All of a sudden, Di Fuyi grasped him by his wings and demanded, “Is she in there?”
The boy tried to maintain his composure, but his voice was obviously trembling.
“The Divine Lord… She was the one who opened the door and entered the place.”
Di Fuyi swiftly pushed the boy away and rushed towards the entrance, but the boy, unfortunately, hindered his attempt. “National Master, only the Divine Lord is allowed to enter the place. No one else is permitted, or you will be turned into dust. Also, the door will only be open for half an hour each time. When time is up, the door will automatically be sealed and can only be reopened a month later. The door has been left open for more than three-quarters of that time now. Soon, it will be sealed, leaving you no way out. You cannot risk going in right now.”
“Would I really turn into dust if I insisted on going in? Fan Qianshi went in there once and look how good he is doing right now.”
The boy explained, “Mister Qianshi is no ordinary man. He is the disciple of the creator of the universe. The Divine Lord told me that as soon as Mister Qianshi hatches the mystical Candle Dragon, he can come and go as he pleases, provided that his spiritual power is at level eight of a Great Deity. By that time, I need not stop him from going into the Forbidden Land anymore. By the way, it was Mister Qianshi who forcefully made his way into the place. He was lucky that the Divine Lord made her way here in time to take him out. Otherwise, he would be long dead. You have no idea how dangerous it was for them. As soon as the Divine Lord sent him out, the door was immediately sealed. Her robes were almost stuck in the door. As a result, the Divine Lord was injured, and so was Mister Qianshi. His skin was thoroughly burnt due to the exposure, and his wound was a rather eerie sight.”
Di Fuyi remained silent.
The boy added, “The Divine Lord looked strange, though. She was wearing a red bridal dress. Hastily, she came and left the place immediately after reprimanding Mister Qianshi for his recklessness. She teleported right away like she was trying to make it back to her wedding. In fact, I was the one who treated Mister Qianshi’s wound.”
