The eSports King's Crush

Chapter 81 - A Conversation Between Siblings

Chapter 81: A Conversation Between Siblings

No matter what, they’d won the competition.

The atmosphere at the dinner party was still great.

After that day, there was an evident change in Granny Gray’s attitude towards Mo Bei.

During dinner, he even made a cola toast to Mo Bei. “We’re all men, so I shan’t say no more. Everything is in this glass of wine.”

Mo Bei was short-spoken. While lifting her arm, she touched his glass using her own glass.

Panda was amused. “Damn it, this is cola. Why are you pretending that it’s wine?”

People were always unknowingly pulled closer.

The only ones who weren’t were probably Mo Bei and Feng Nai.

After all, these two people still had the injuries they had given each other on their minds.

When tomorrow afternoon came, they still had a fight planned between them.

When they returned, they had to sleep in the same room again.

Both Mo Bei and Feng Nai were still adapting to that.

However, probably because it was the weekend, Feng Nai did not return immediately to the apartment after dinner.

According to Panda, “It’s very likely that Chief will spend the night at home today. I heard his phone ring just now.”

Feng Nai’s phone had rung. Who knew what Trouble Lin had told his mom. He was now starting to use carrots and sticks to tell him that he had to bring the type of being known as “Little Brother” home.

Feng Nai naturally wouldn’t agree and took a cab back home by himself.

Mo Bei, who hadn’t lived alone for a long time, could finally relax for a bit now.

Due to Feng Nai’s presence, she had always had to watch the time she showered and could not bring out some items that girls used.

She’d won the competition today and she was alone in the room.

Mo Bei naturally let her guard down.

After switching WeChat accounts, she saw a message from her brother. “I watched the competition. You actually played support tank while jungling. Way too cool! You’re my sister indeed! Proud face!”

Her brother had been like that since a young age. He only shared the good news, never the bad.

If she didn’t mention it, it seemed like he would not breathe a word about what he’d gone through.

Instead, he added another question. “Have you encountered any other problems there?”

After all, he was worried that her familiar scene had changed and she would have to bear what he had done in the past.

Mo Bei thought for a moment. She did not share her thoughts about coming. She only replied, “Brother, do you still remember the person who hunted me throughout the entire server?”

“The one you got married to?” Mo Nan’s reply came very quickly.

Mo Bei responded with an “mm” sound before adding, “It was King.”

A second after she sent that, Mo Nan called her. He sounded very anxious as he said, “Tell me I misunderstood what you said just now.”

“You didn’t.” Mo Bei was unmoved.

Mo Nan grabbed his own hair for a second. “How are you now? Did he recognize you?”

“No.” Mo Bei’s tone was very cool. “He’s only suspicious.”

Mo Nan was still slightly appalled. “How could there be such a coincidence?”

“He thought I tricked him into getting married.” Mo Bei threw another bomb with a calm voice.

Mo Nan paused for a long time before he found his voice again. “Your answer sounded very much like it. Why don’t I swap you out?”

“Has your hand injury recovered?” Mo Bei asked in return instead of answering.

Mo Nan evidently faltered.

Mo Bei lifted her eyes as she said, “Come over after you’ve recovered. Nothing will happen to me before the National League.”

Mo Nan chuckled and said, “Okay.”

He did not tell Mo Bei that it would be very, very difficult for his hand to recover…
