Chapter 161 - Telling Alex The Good News
'Loriel was truly a special man', Elise thought to herself. 'His adaptability is so great. He could immediately position himself as a boyfriend, and then husband. I am not that good.'
She looked at the handsome man who worked hard last night to pleasure her and now he was sleeping like a baby. He looked at peace.
Ahh… Elise realized she had to start taking a more active role in their lovemaking. She felt embarrassed by the fact that she had always been pampered and doted on and the man always made sure she was satisfied before he got his own pleasure.
Loriel also seemed to know all her sensual spots. He was like a sex god who always knew the right thing to do when it came to her body.
Elise decided, she must reciprocate and do the same to him. She wanted him to feel good and pleasantly surprised when they had sex someday and Elise took charge of their lovemaking.
Ahh.. maybe she should start asking other women about intimacy and what men like in bed. She was too inexperienced. Loriel was the only man she had ever had sex with.
But… but… it's too embarrassing.
Maybe she should just do her research online. Loriel had taught her that if she needed anything at all, she would definitely be able to find them on the internet.
She should do it. She smiled and touched Loriel's strand of hair, admiring his sleeping face. She tried not to see his chiseled chest and his bare stomach. The man was lying naked under the duvet. Elise didn't want to dirty her mind so early in the morning.
Besides, she had to get ready for work. She gently tried to pry Loriel's arm off of her. "Good morning, Loriel. I hope you had a good rest. I still need to get to work, so I will have to get ready now."
"Can't you stay here for a little more?" Loriel affectionately nuzzled her neck.
Elise smiled but kissed his forehead. "We'll have the entirety of our lives to be together once we get married. I'm getting up so I can tell Alex the news and prepare for it."
Loriel's eyes opened at Elise's words and he reached out to kiss her. "Then we should get to the company right now."
"You should just continue your sleep," said Elise dotingly.
Loriel quickly got up. "No.. it's fine I have slept a lot. Let's get ready."
"Ahahaha.. okay then."
It didn't take too long for the two of them to get up and prepare. Loriel normally would have woken up far earlier to help Elise start her day with work, but sleeping with Elise in his arms was just too comforting.
He missed this so much.
There was a certain bounce in his steps as Loriel took Elise to her work. While he may have wanted her to stop working then and there, he knew that Elise still wanted to work and have a separate and fulfilling career besides getting married to him.
Now that Elise was off to work though, Loriel could concentrate on having Marc get in contact with those from Germany.
He had no idea where their old wedding ring was, but now he was going to have his people trace it down and retrieve it at once.
***
Alex was incredibly busy with Marc's sudden requests that she didn't notice when Elise first stepped inside of her office. The woman was looking at all the wedding gowns and wondering about what kind of woman would be wearing them.
"The mermaid style is always a classic, but what if she's more suited for a column dress?"
Alex had no frame of reference at all. Marc failed to mention the woman who was getting married so it was hard to pre-book with a fashion designer now to start making the gown or even what kind to make.
Not to mention, Alex herself was very curious if Marc was really going to tie the knot and settle down for real. It seemed very early for him to do such a thing.
"Ah, good morning, Alex. Are you busy?"
Alex quickly whirled around after closing the tabs on her work computer. She did not want Elise to see what she was looking at and instead gave her a smile. "Good morning too, Elise. How are you doing?"
"I'm doing good… great actually," Elise admitted with a smile.
Now that Alex was looking at Elise, there was a certain glow to her that seemed to be present on the woman's face. "That's great to hear. What can I do for you?"
"I actually wanted to ask for some of your help in something not exactly work-related?" Elise asked. "If that's okay with you?"
Alex couldn't help but smile at Elise's polite request. "My boss has asked me to do things that aren't exactly related to the company at all and they're more like personal errands. I am more than happy to do a favor for my friend."
"Thank you so much, Alex! You're the first person that came to my mind--I wanted to discuss some wedding ideas with you."
Alex's eyes widened. "You're engaged?"
"Yes!"
The wheels in Alex's mind started turning. It couldn't be just a coincidence that the same time that Marc asked her to make wedding plans is the same moment that Elise approached her for the very same thing.
Was this the reason or was it just coincidence? Either way, it was one of the first times that Marc's crazy requests actually helped Alex to support a person she considered a friend, so this was great.
"You don't have to worry at all, Elise." Alex grabbed her shoulder and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "With my help, you'll have the best wedding you can ever imagine."
"I really just want a simple one though," Elise said. "A small intimate wedding."
"Of course, the best wedding that is as simple and elegant as it can be. You can count on me. I was actually compiling a mood board for wedding dresses, do you want to take a look now?"
"I'd love to!"
