Temporal Pearls

Chapter 37: Communication

[Seth Enock The Cripple is gazing at the First Painting]

Due to the uniquess of the painting, any time someone gazes at it, the original creator will be notified.

"Hello, Seth!" Nanncy said.

Silce!

"How did you get your hand on the painting? Did you bribe or kill that spoiled brat?" Nanncy Abadd Aer asked.

"Ahm, well… long story! But, how come, I can hear your voice from the painting?"

Not in Seth's wildest dream did he ever expect to hear Nanncy's voice coming out of the paintings

And for every word that comes out from the painting, the picture in it vibrates slightly. From that, Seth understood the painting held tremdous secrets he can't begin to fathom.

"It's a special skill I have. A painting of that calibre will sd me information whever someone gazes at it." She said with a smile.

"I couldn't believe I would be happy to hear your voice. At first, I was not going to connect, but I felt the connection was differt from that spoiled brat. That got me curious to check… so it was you!" Nanncy added.

But th she was speechless. Why was she happy to speak to a stranger like that?

"I'm glad too. You know ever since you disappeared it was just me alone in the town. And you know people thought I'm your servant and without you, they began to look down on me!" Seth said with a smile.

He was really happy talking to someone he knew in the game, it felt good and his apprehsion was abetted due to being alone in the forest.

"I'm sorry, I have an issue and have to adjust my mtality. I took your advice but it was hard. So, I tried something new which got me a great surprise… After that, I made a deal with Vulcan who st me somewhere."

"Oh, you mean he st you back to the original town in advance?"

"Yes… hey, don't tell me you people have completed the Town transportation? That is good, I'm about to find a Class Quest, I will be back in just two days." She said.

Seth can feel the happiness and giddiness in her voice. Asteroid Online was an unusual Game, it forced players to feel close to strangers.

The psychology behind was that it was almost impossible for players to meet anyone they knew from real life. With the weirdness and hardship of the game, people felt lonely subconsciously and also began to cherish those new bonds they developed within the game!

"How long can we discuss using this method?" Seth asked.

"For as long as my Mtal Fortitude allowed it! Why do you ask?" Nanncy asked.

"Well, Vulcan Village was transported... without me. I was left behind because I was giv the title of First Noble of the Town."

"That bastard, he did it on purpose. He tried pulling something similar to me after I found that his town was fake. He said giving me nobility will raise my level faster but after he found out my Talt he changed and said city nobility will be better for me..." Nanncy narrated the things that she found out.

The player's avatar body was an exact replica of a real-life body. So, Nanncy's amazing eyesight and knack for actual graphics due to her Insane Art Talt was replicated by the game

So, after her anxiety was abetted and her mind calmed, she was able to see the world in its true form; a weird pixel formation.

Adding to that was her Artifact ability. Due to gaining access to her Artefact, She kept getting a Quest to help the Game System develop better. Though she was only asked to paint a specific part of the town that needed adjustmt, it was still mind-boggling for Seth!

Seth as an artist still did not comprehd how that could be possible but he got the gist of it.

One of the Quests, demanded her to appraise a Dragon Bone. With no idea how to do that she began to search the Manor until she found Vulcan secrets.

Every three days Vulcan will take his people beyond the forest to scour the land. Occasionally they brought back things inside a box from the exhibition that pulsed with force and that trembled the box.

During her investigation, she overheard the Vulcan Hchm discussing the time they expected for them to leave the Cursed Contint.

It was th, she learned that Vulcan made up a fake village to search for Precious Materials and Dragon Corpses.

She found out that players were not supposed to be on the Contint at this level of the Game but Vulcan used mystical means to manipulate the Summoning that made Players appear in the Village within the Cursed Contint.

As she informed Seth, he was having trouble keeping up. The level of realism and the way the NPCs behave, just keep making him believe this was just another world. In the d, he learned a lot of things about the Materials Vulcan sought.

Nanncy was later found out by Vulcan and she was dragged into a contract and st away.

"This is deeper, deeper than I can ever imagine a game was capable of!" Seth said.

"Seth, I like your attitude. But you need to be a bit serious about this game… I found the strictest person I know in my life, hiding a Silver Rank Cabin that he used to dive in. Wh I asked him, he was embarrassed but told me the game is more than what it has be portrayed as!"

"Haha, Master Nanncy, I'm living proof of that. By the way, this painting of yours looked like the squabbling of a baby panda. I'm sure I can do better wh I was a toddler"

"Haha, You humour me. How can you grasp that Magnifict Art? It's far above your level of comprehsion. Let me educate you a little…. Painting is not merely about making accurate or realistic portraits. It's about........"

Seth's smile froze as he began to jot everything she explained which half of his mind can't ev grasp what she meant. But, he was happy.

The painting was called First Painting—which means it's the greatest painting currtly created by a Player.

That was not all, the painting was the prerequisite for Nanncy to advance to Stage three. From SSS+ to Novice. Well, the new stage name was a bit underwhelming!

"..... and make no mistake, I have never created something like that in my life. So, cherish it well if it's yours." She concluded.

"Haha, it's one of my Personal Arms"

"How did you make it your personal arm? How, please tell me. There are things I want to turn into Personal Arms!"

"I will explain that later. Let me have my questions answered.."

Th a session of questions and answers began, and Nanncy was so op that Seth thought she needed the means to change her Acquired Arms to Personal Arms so badly that's why she was so op.

At the same time, Seth's view was being smashed away.

"... to really start grasping it, you need to be at the very least A+ in Art Talt! Now tell me what I want to know!"

"Okay… the truth was all my Acquired Arms were changed to Personal Arms during my Class advancemt!"

"Haha, good, I'm on finding a quest for that already!"

"What class was it?"

"Amma Class Category, is it the same as you?"

"I don't have a class!"

"Did I miss heard you before?"

"No!"

"You are leaving me in suspse, tell me what happed!" Nanncy screamed in exasperation.

"I was robbed. During world Asteroid desct we fought with something called Crodos. And I performed well and I got a chance to have class advancemt but… the spoiled brat made a move and robbed the material required for the advancemt. As of now, I'm a pseudo-class player."

"Now, list, Abuhe Magma Vulcan's true purpose of being in Gawee Contint was to obtain something called Temporal Pearl. And it was the requiremts for the Apex class category that I almost obtained…."

Nanncy stared at the notification with puzzle expressions.

"What is happing! My connection should be absolute."

They have be discussing for hours now with just the mtion of Temporal Pearls, everything came to a stop.

"Abuhe Magma Vulcan! He knew the chief's full name." Nanncy was at a loss.

"Apex class!"

"Things just got more complicated!"

Seth was tired of sitting so he stood and was busy telling her the curious information. After he finished, he waited for an answer but did not hear her voice.

He checked and realized he might have be speaking with no one for 0 minutes.

"Didn't she say her Mtal Fortitude could support it? Maybe she got tired, it gets cut!" He said.

At the same time, he was getting another feeling, it was cut by the system. Anyway, he got what he wanted and hoped she heard the crucial information.

With Nanncys' explanation, he was able to grasp a bit of the 500cm wide and 50cm long painting.  But one thing that scared him was the Quest he received just now.
