Chapter 179: XVI Behetees
Chapter 179: XVI Behetees
Edward was gasped as he stepped into the auction house. At least a dozen celestial beings with domain over spatial laws were summoned to create such a huge space to fit so many people in one place. In an endless sea of seats, Edward struggled to find his own. Gazing at the crowd, he had to admit that all those heavenly beings really intimidate him, mainly because he was scared of others noticing the source of his dark power.
Suddenly, numerous fireworks bursted into countless colors above the crowd while a huge golden platform emerged from below. There was a single figure standing in the platform, a human-like figure with a single horn in its head and dozens spikes down its body. Elijah withdrew a book from nowhere, it is the ten thousand species compendium. He searched for a while until he saw a figure that matched with the one of the platform.
"Behemoth or Behetees in the plural are a rare species. Behetees can be born from any couple of humanoid and Non-humanoid creatures. With an extremely low birth rate, It can take many forms depending on the inherited bloodlines, but there is one thing they all share: Behetees are all extremely large and powerful entities and they are all born male. Its origin are also said to be connected with other rare species, the Leviathees. In the past, many celestial beings would take one or two of this rare species to work as slaves, something that contributed to their current state as a species close to extinction."
This was all information gathered about this species which was pretty understandable as it must be hard to gather information about such a rare species. From the fact this Behemoth was devoid of aura, he was sure it was at least on the celestial level.
"Hello celestials of every corner of the universe. I'm Qedai, the Alpha Executor of the the Immortal Palace and your host on today's auction." Everyone took a deep breath, trying to maintain they posture. The Immortal Palace was the core of the mortal alliance and the place with the most celestials. With the only Human Empyrean Immortal and one Shining Paragon as the top of the palace and the leaders of the Alpha Court, the core with the most powerful members of the Immortal palace. As for the position of Executor, it was the highest position possible bellow the two leaders of the Alpha court which made this Alpha executor even more dangerous than what he first thought.
At least this was what Elijah heard from the others around him. What made him surprised was to hear about a hidden court in the Immortal Palace, named Beta Palace or Hollow Order. The darkness behind the Immortal palace and where they raise Dark Immortals and Fallen Saints to become the mightiest of all killers.
"Now that the auction is about to begin, let me pass the rules for those that failed to hear before." Qedai spoke to all those might beings in the crowd with a indifferent face before continuing,"All the items you may see in this auction is provided by the last expedition our Immortal Palace made. For those who wish for it may bid with crystals and other treasures while our people will judge its valor. The person who makes the highest bid will take the item. As for what happens after the auction ends? Well, we won't care as long as it happens far from here."
"Now, let's start this auction!" As his voice reached everyone in the auction house, a huge object covered in veil. Radiating with ancient aura, the eyes of all crowd were attracted to it.
"For the first item, we will have an ancient spacecraft found in the ruins. After numerous tests, we decided to name it Manticore. Other than being very small and with only three rooms in total, its speed is faster than any other ship known in the marked. It even has a special function to travel to other dimensions like the Netherworld and the Celestial World, something that would be impossible if it was any other ship. The initial price for this ship that is not bound by any dimension is of 10 Red-grade Prime Crystals or two Celestial-grade Potions. Of course, we will accept anything with the same value."
Everyone thought for a while and decided to not bid. Not matter how good it is, only a fool would exchange prime crystals with this spacecraft. For the people in the crowd who could be considered as the peak of the universe, a spacecraft could only be useful for those non-celestial beings but nearly none of them can take out this huge fortune. As for the heavenly beings, they could travel across space and different dimensions by themselves and take their family members with them to train in the heavenly world, so why should they waste money on this?
While no one spoke, a single voice emerged in from nowhere. A golden-haired youth with a handsome face and eyes that could attract more glances than the God of Beauty himself, raised his hand. Celestial beings and their families all turned they eyes at him and expand their senses toward this person. His aura was unique with traces of Ruler's aura, his taintless white robes remained motionless in the air as a faint golden radiance surrounded his body. This person was truly unfathomable, all the laws seemed to vibrate around him. Even the few gods close to him felt their domain going out of control. Edward looked at him with curiosity, he could not tell why but he felt a faint connection with this youth.
This youth took out a single and ordinary mask from a thin device on his hand and showed it to everyone: "This is a top-grade magical artifact that was later merged with a fragment of a Core of Divinity and the laws of concealment within it. Your people can see if it can be exchanged for this spacecraft."
With the mask floating out of his hand and approaching a group of people in a second platform that just emerged. They examined the artifact under the eyes of countless people before nodding with their heads and joined their hands in a sign of respect.
"We can see this artifact not only has been merged with a divinity fragment, but the true owner of the divinity core was much more than a minor god. Sir, can you tell us what realm the owner of the fragment was?"
The young man thought for a while but couldn't remember, so he decided to say anything he could think of: "The true owner was on the Higher God stage."
