Chapter 160: XXI Unparalleled Masked Man
"Eh? What do you mean by 'which world'?" From the looks on their faces, it was more than enough for Ophelia to understand a few things.
'It seems this world is not knowledgeable about the paths or the many world in the universe.' As she realized that those people didn't have a clue about the monsters, so she turned back and headed towards a building from where she felt the most pressure.
Ah! Hearing a scream, a dozen purple flames were shot towards another group of people but Ophelia had already appeared right in front of them as she blocked the flames with her shield before sending a golden energy blade into a dark alley before a loud 'bang!' was heard and dust fell on the ground.
A female soldier with a rifle in her hands the tried to give her thanks to Ophelia but she had already vanished and appeared far away.
"Kill the female! She is the strongest one here!"
"Yes! I'm sure she is very tasteful... Uwa!"
Not all monsters were stupid and as she approached the building, they were getting stronger and smarter. Maybe some humans had noticed that as they would not try to get closer to this area.
Suddenly, she reached a point where she couldn't spot any monsters and a voice radiating with a ominous feeling overwhelmed her.
"This honored me was told that this world was devoid of any cultivators other than a few celestial beings and now I found a little specter... How interesting." Before her eyes, a devilish figure emerged from the darkness, his two eyes were menacing, seducing and a deep black hole that devoured other souls.
Radiant Light: Call of Heaven! Deep golden light burst out from the tip of her sword as she launched her strongest move, infusing all her energy as pressed against the ground. After a second of silence, a hundred thousand feet towering golden pillar erupted from the ground, devouring half of London, any creature being human or beast would died as long as there was evil in their hearts. This was the last form of her divine ability, no evil shall remain under the Radiant Light.
It took minutes for the light to fade and just as Ophelia gazed forward, a devilish silhouette walked out. With cleaning the black blood in his mouth, he calmly looked at Ophelia before completely releasing his devil's aura.
"fkmoafajiufaupf onaousffenofwa." His aura provoked insanity into others and with a single glance an Ophelia could not even resist the pressure as she fell before him with countless scars surfacing on
her body, babbling words that made no sense. The devilish figure smiled as he already expected this reaction and extended his arm towards her but a hand surged out of nowhere and stopped him from moving before punching him in the face, sending him meters away.
"What is this..." Relocating his dislocated chin, the devilish figure came across with a masked-man in black robes. Suddenly the masked man rushed at him, sending numerous punches and not matter how much he tried the devilish figure couldn't escape as his body would be attracted towards the masked man's hand without being able to control his movements so he threw a rune in the ground and vanished.
"Little devil, Little devil, where are you?" The masked-man sang as he explored the building. The place they were was a building where "adults came to play", stopping at the entrance of what was previously a store specializing in the sale of "adult toys". The masked man gripped the empty air with his hand, Ahhhh! Under screaming of despair, the devil's figure flew out the store and rushed towards the man waiting at the entrance...
Holding the devil by the neck, the masked man spoke: "Irgath, son of Astaroth, Duke of hell. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not with the humans nor do I wish to involve myself with your actions as I have my reasons, but you must know that Earth is not supposed to be taken by monsters until the year of 2099"
"Wait, you know who I am?" Hearing his words, Irgath sighed with relief. He really thought only death awaited him: "If its only this then I'm sorry. I didn't knew this world had a protector and of course I will stop my attack, so can you release my already? Its getting painful."
"Okay." The man replied nonchalantly before releasing his grip, letting Irgath fall with his butt on the floor and just before he get up, a hole was open in his forehead as the masked-man on the other side could be seen holding a evil blood-red bead in his hand and dispersed the devil's soul with his other hand.
"You would have lived if you haven't tried to touch my sister..." The man looked at the Irgath's body with contempt as he walked to the first floor.
"Don't worry sis, I will make of you an celestial." The man took Ophelia in his arms and carried her away as his body dissolved at the same time all the monsters that had escaped turned into dust under his command.
