Chapter 132: XXI: Despair! Treading in the Realm of Gods
While he was looking at the fissure in the ground, millions of creatures came from the sky, radiating that strange colorless elemental energy. This energy was like a endless tide that covered the skies, emanating oppressive force. As the creatures noticed Elijah and Cassie's presence, they changed their route and started approaching. At the same time more fissures open from the earth from where more of those creatures emerged.
"Your damn prime beasts... You have forced me do to this." Something inside Elijah seemed to have been changed, he gave a cold look at the beasts approaching from all sides. Taking three items from the spatial pocket in his phone, his gaze turned to Cassie who was taken aback by his change.
"There is nothing we can do, I can't even understand what happened at the citadel and if they are dead or alive but there is one thing I know, we are too weak to change something is this battle. So I guess I will have to broke the seal." As Cassie listened to Elijah's voice holding a deep despair, she noticed that the three things on his hands were the divinity fragment, the nectar and the ambrosia.
When a mortal becomes an celestial, their body is remade so their bodies could hold a level of energy no mortal no matter their level could sustain. Taking the nectar the ambrosia together with a few other things, he could temporary raise his body to the same level as an celestial.
He was not sure what would happen as his body has already started breaking down because of having three energy bodies inside him and the only way was by the trinity body manual that he was supposed to find.
But now that he knew how insignificant he was, he realized that it was better to try by himself.
And under Cassie's scared eyes, he slowly raised his hand holding the copper container holding the nectar and the ambrosia in his other hand, putting them in his mouth as tears flowed from his eyes. Maybe the gods already knew he would have to do this and gave him the two treasures he thought.
His cultivation that has been frozen for the last few months has shown signs of moving. Then it suddenly surged up, breaking numerous barriers as an unprecedented level of power burst within its body and soul.
Sensing Elijah's changes, the creatures felt a intense dread and had the instinct tell them that if they left this human alive, it would be their end and they all speed up towards him.
"Dad, I will protect you." Two ink-black wings sprouted from Cassie's back and covered her body like a armor. Her two hands extended and formed two black blades as she advanced towards the beasts under the sunlight.
Now this was her true self, Yalin, daughter of Yawen and the herald of Ryn. While she never mentioned what she did in her time, in reality she was one of the her father's strongest followers, having reached the 11th step of the Eternal Void family supreme art.
In each step, the cultivator must face a life and death situation from where they must die to advance to the next step and begin from scratch until they die once again. The numbers of steps, also means the number of lives they had lived. For example, Shadow was on the 10th step, meaning she had ten lives.
For Cassie, this was her eleventh life and the one she will have to surpass all the previous ones.
"What is this? How can the prime beasts have reached this stage so quickly." In this form, her senses had been amplified hundreds of times allowing her to see that these among the prime beasts, there were some who possessed the traits of different paths.
Some emanated spiritual force and elemental energy, others gave off attribute power, primeval energy and many other mixed energies.
It was simply unbelievable for any person that something like this could even exist, however the truth was before her eyes. She also noticed an celestial's presence with together with the aura of temporal laws.
Taking her hand out of a beast's head she analyzed: "These creatures are powerful but at least they are stupid and don't know how to attack in a group or I would have been finished." The prime beasts simply rushed towards her without any plan or strategy like it had no brains. Feeling something grasping her leg, she raised her hand to strike and she saw a small hairy beast, but what made her truly stop was a pink bracelet on her thin hand. Suddenly she realized why there was many more beasts here than at that time on earth.
On Elijah's side, rivers of blood exploded forth from his mouth, ears, nose and eyes. The blood flowed for a long
The lays of skin from the deeply carved seals began to come loose and fall, leaving a glossy white skin with a slightly golden glow. His hair fell to the floor leaving a bald shiny head before thin golden threads started to grow.
In the great hall, Elijah was standing together with the figures of his three bodies.
As he merged the bodies, the different powers started to conflict bringing a blinding pain. Endless agony washed over his body, but his eyes would stay sharp until the end. Trying to overpower the will from the three bodies as he merged them ignoring all the pain. Beside him, the four fairies stood beside him.
Without being able to know how much time passed, he felt the conflict between the forces dissolving together with the bodies.
Piercing rays of blue, purple, yellow, red, gray, and many other shoot out of the hall, revolving at high speed, breaking his flesh, bones, tendons remolding them.
Nothing other that golden liquid flowed in his veins.
Just as the merge was about to finish, he heard a bang from behind, where the golden gate was.
....
In the outside, Cassie tore through the sky leaving grey trails everywhere she passed. After assuring the B region was clean, using the Void laws sure that the powers from before could not bring them back once again.
Leaving the stratosphere of the planet, her eyes were shot down at the planet.
"I don't know if this piece of the Prime King has been taken. When the Mortal Alliance arrives, most people would have been killed but before that I need to take care of him." Then her gaze turned to somewhere in the space and her body suddenly appeared in front of a gray haired man, this man could be said to be a titan as his stature was more the size of a skyscraper.
"Little lady, go back to where yo came from. After all, I could be considered to be friends with the eternal void family."Cassie glanced towards this man, after all that conversation she heard before, it was clear that he was Cronus, the titan of time.
"I guess it was you who killed the people in the citadel."
"When I killed them?" Cronus smirked as he heard this: "I never killed anyone, what I did was transport them to the Tartarus. Even that little girl from the Aesir clan, what was her name anyway? Oh, I remember, it was Eir, in the end she only lost her body and part of her soul, but her divinity core survived even if I don't know why."
"Cassie, help me distract him for a moment." A soft voice invaded her mind as it asked for help.
Cassie was startled when she heard his voice from so far away. But what made her slightly shocked was the deep hatred and insanity hidden in that voice. At this moment such hatred caused her to fell some fear about what he was going to do.
