Wu Qi stood on the roof of the tallest building in his palace and watched quietly as King Bai Shan’s men carried out their slaughter. ‘Go ahead and kill them all. After all, these servants and guards are given to me together with the palaces. In fact, the more you kill the better, as I can then replace them with my own people from Dong Hai Province,’ he thought.

He did not like the buildings either. Like all the other buildings in Great Yu, they were square like bricks and constructed of black stones, which he found really ugly. It was better to let those black mist destroy them, so that he could take the opportunity to construct new buildings according to his preference.

And those plants and trees were nothing important to him. They could be replanted later. With the rich natural energy in You Xiong Plain, the new plants would grow as luxuriant and healthy as before in no time. On top of that, he could arrange them in a way that, together with the new buildings, they form a defensive formation, so that no one could intrude his residence again, like what was happening now.

This place was after all, a property Emperor Haozun used to give others as a reward. The original facilities were just not quite met Wu Qi’s expectation. It was better for them to be destroyed. He could take the opportunity to reconstruct and rearrange everything. The new palaces and gardens would never again be as easily accessible as it was today. In time, even a ninth-tier Primordial expert would have to leave behind a layer of skin, if he dared to sneak into Wu Qi’s residence.

As King Bai Shan’s soldiers moved closer and closer in his direction, Wu Qi sighed and gave a long whistle.

At the whistle, Ao Buzun brandished his big black knife and roared furiously, “What are you doing here in the dead of night? Are you thieves? Taste my spear!” He leaped forward, swinging his knife down at a captain a few miles away from him, who clad in black armor and had just broken the neck of a night patrol.

“Taste your spear?” Reflectively, the captain grabbed a round shield strapped on his back and brought it in front of him. He was expecting a jab or a stab, for they were the most powerful attacks one could unleash with a spear. With the shield protecting the vital spots on his upper body, he was confident that he could block Ao Buzun’s ‘spear’.

A crisp crunch rang out as Ao Buzun cut the captain, who had just stepped into the realm of the Second Pangu Heaven, in two. The knife hacked into the head and came out from the crotch, ripping the man, his armor, and his shield into two equal parts. His entrails and blood spilled and sprayed all over the place. “What a fool! This teaches you that you should never believe your enemy!” He roared with laughter, stepped on a cloud and flew into the sky.

In his human form, Yuan Qing, who had the bloodline of the divine ape, was a skinny young man standing about ten feet tall with a yellow face, a pair of vivid eyes, and strong bones. When he saw Ao Buzun killed the captain, he let out a sharp howl and leaped out, swinging a staff Wu Qi crafted for him, all golden and spitting flames from time to time.

“Taste my rod, punk! Watch out, I’m going to break your gallbladder!” Clearly, Yuan Qing was led astray by Ao Buzun. The staff as thick as a bowl thrust out toward a leading captain, aiming at his stomach. However, just as the man raised the sword in his hand to counter it, Yuan Qing suddenly brought the heavy staff back, then swung it out again from the side and smacked it hard on the captain’s ribs.

The staff was not ‘too’ heavy. Wu Qi had crafted it with a gold ingot of fire-element which had been refined for countless of years on a neutron star he found in some outer heavenly realm. For something that was taken from a neutron star, weight was meaningless. Wu Qi had embedded many weight-reducing arrays in it, so the staff weighed only about ten thousand kilograms in Yuan Qing’s hands, but when it was struck on an enemy, the arrays would disappear instantly, and the staff would smash down with all its weight.

The man’s armor and half of his body disintegrated completely into the tiniest particles of energy, shooting out in all directions in countless glittering specks. Yuan Qing gave a ferocious laugh, and spun his staff so quick that it turned into a whirlwind as he dashed toward the other few captains. Sword, knife, spear, halberd, and a few other weapons came striking at him at the same time, but were all smashed to shreds by the heavy staff.

In just a brief moment, eight or nine men were beaten to death, their bodies disintegrated into nothingness. Whether it was their cultivation bases, strength, speed, or skills, they were all far inferior to Yuan Qing.

Ao Buzun snorted angrily when he saw how easily Yuan Qing had killed so many men. Not willing to be outdone, he raised his knife up over his shoulder and made a dash for a dozen soldiers who were swooping down at him. With the cultivation base of a peak-level Gold Immortal and his bloodline of the ancient dragon, his sheer physical strength had now reached the strongest limit beneath the realm of Primordial. As he made a downward cut, the void cracked before the knife’s sharp edge, and in the next instant the group of soldiers shrieked and howled miserably. With just one strike, he had hacked all of them in two, together with their weapons and armors.

Noticing Ao Buzun had killed a few more men than him, Yuan Qing howled, spun his staff and plunged into a group of over twenty soldiers. A series of crisp crunches echoed out as he smashed these soldiers to pulps like eggs, one after another. Cries of shock and agony could be heard as the men’s bodies were shattered, causing blood and gore to spray out in all directions.

In the sound of bone breaking and crunching, Ao Buzun and Yuan Qing frantically killed hundreds more men. Of more than twenty thousand soldiers and captains King Bai Shan brought here, only a dozen or so had the cultivation base to rival both of them, who were at the peak level of the Nine Stars Realm of the Second Pangu Heaven, and now they were standing beside their master, showing no intention to join the battles.

King Bai Shan was standing on a hillside a few miles away, looking coldly over. Wu Qi had asked Princess Zhang Le to dismiss the fog that concealed them. The two men looked at each other from miles away. Suddenly Wu Qi smiled. He cupped his fist at King Bai Shan and said, “How are you, my lord? I haven’t seen you for a thousand years. I hope all is well.”

Hearing Wu Qi’s words, King Bai Shan could not help but laugh. “You haven’t seen me for a thousand years? Do you take me for an idiot? A thousand years?”

King Bai Shan sucked in a cold breath suddenly. He stared blankly at Wu Qi for a moment, then remembered that this fellow had once got a Supreme Tower with the ability to manipulate time from Directorate of Celestial’s secret storehouse. With the cultivation base of a Supreme Oracle, Wu Qi did have the power to accelerate time thousands of time, he knew. He had been imprisoned in the imperial dungeon by Emperor Haozun for about half a year, and it was highly possible that Wu Qi had spent a thousand years in the Supreme Tower!

He turned his eyes to the captains standing behind Wu Qi. When he saw that each of these men was energetic and had all reached the peak-level of the Second Pangu Heaven, King Bai Shan took a few steps back in shock.

Wu Qi stared at King Bai Shan and gave a cold laugh. Then, he waved his hand and shouted an order.

At the order, Lord Xiansheng produced his silver halberd and rushed out, followed by Catfish, waving a sledgehammer the size of a hill that Wu Qi had crafted for her, and the rest of the demon cultivators. The four dragon pythons, with their lower bodies remained in human forms but their upper bodies reverted back to their true forms, opened their big mouths and began to pull over the enemies. Cries and howls rang through the palaces as numerous soldiers were drawn into their mouths, and swallowed by them in just the blink of an eye.

Huang Liang shouted an order, too. Led by him, hundreds of captains from Dong Hai Province drew out their weapons and formed a formation that Wu Qi had specially designed for them, and then poured out like an endless tide. Though they were only a few hundred men, they emanated the formidable aura of a thousand troops as they charged into King Bai Shan’s squads of soldiers, like a savage tiger pouncing into a herd of sheep. Wherever they went, blood and gore and broken limbs flew and scattered across the ground.

King Bai Shan watched indifferently as his men were slaughtered, as if they were not warriors of Second Pangu Heaven but pawns who could be discarded at will. A faint smile hung around the corners of his mouth, and he looked as if he wished all his men had been killed.

Wu Qi could not help but feel a little strange. Even if King Bai Shan was one of Great Yu’s most powerful kings, how many troops he had under his command? How many warriors of Second Pangu Heaven could he have to sacrifice like this? Especially since he had just escaped from imperial dungeon, how many loyal warriors did he still have who were willing to die for him? Why did he just let what might have been his last group of faithful subordinates die like this?

Just as he was puzzling, he saw King Bai Shan raised a hand and waved.

The dozen or so men standing next to King Bai Shan, all wrapped up in towering fires of retribution, gave a low laugh and began to chant a strange spell under their breath. Soon after, a large plume of black smoke poured out of the Ten Traps Formation, transformed into countless dark pythons and slithered toward the men in the battles.

Wu Qi flew into a rage. It was a blood and flesh sacrifice spell. He realized what happened now. King Bai Shan had never expected these warriors could pose much of a treat to him. The man’s goal was to sacrifice all of them, and that was why he did not care how many warriors would be killed by Wu Qi and others.

Princess Zhang Le reacted quickly. Her whole body radiated a great sheet of five-colored light, which blanketed Ao Buzun and others at the same time. None of those hazy black mist and dark pythons dared to get close to the light. Wu Qi shouted at them, and hurriedly they withdrew back to him.

Soon, the black smoke enveloped the more than twenty thousand warriors King Bai Shan had brought with him, who seemed to have lost their minds and allowed the smoke to engulf them.

The sound of chewing flesh and bone kept coming out of the black smoke. Accompanied by this eerie sound, a ray of black light came slanting down from the sky. The next moment, a fiend god, about a mile tall with a body wholly constructed of bones, appeared quietly in front of Wu Qi.

It was not a projection, the method Lei Meng used every time he made his appearance. The bony fiend god 1 , tempted by the offering of over twenty thousand Gold-Immortal-grade warriors, chose to descend with his true form.

The black capes of the dozen or so men standing next to King Bai Shan suddenly burst into flame at the same time, gradually revealing their appearances.

Two lower-level Supreme Oracles and thirteen peak-level Sun Oracles!
