Chapter 66: Sardau Star and Time Race (1)

Orks had superior combat senses, something that Arcutrus experiences ifrst time, several times on his own skin when he was fighting against the Greenskins, either before or right now, as all of the remaining Greenskins attacked Arcturus with newfound ferocity and brutality.

Seeing that many of the other Boyz were killed by the humans before them, all of the Greenskins grew enraged at the same time because, for them, it was considered an utter disgrace to be overpowered by small humies, as they often called them.

Greenskins often looked down on the all species in the so-called "Human Group", they thought of them as small and weak, though they were able to respect some of them to a certain degree, such as the Asuryani.

Nevertheless, most of them were still too dumb to take serious note of them and often looked down on them, mostly due to their small stature and lack of huge build like even the smallest of the Ork Boyz.

Even Samiel was at least twice as small as the Orks that were present here, though when it came to physical strength, he was not weaker than them. Even though the average Ork Boy was stronger than most of the members of the other species of the same Grade, that didn't apply unconditionally.

When it came to the Asuryani species, they were standing on the same rank as the Greenskins, at least when it came to most of their race. Not even the most powerful Asuryani Highborne could hope to match the raw physical strength of the Ork Bosses, because that was out of the order.

Some Ork Nobzs also boasted of really frightening physical strength and even more powerful regeneration capabilities.

Even though the regeneration capabilities of the Asuryani species were really good, especially once they got stronger, the regenerative capabilities of the Greenskins and their ability to withstand punishment were something out of the world.

Orks could literarily fight with their limbs cut, with most severe injuries that would be crippling or causing death already, but for the Greenskins, it was just a minor obstacle in their path to achieving glorious WAAAGH!.

As they were seven of them, the first thing that Arcturus did was to create distance between the Orks and him, because he was too close to them, thus he backed away, and in one move, he aimed at two of the Greenskins that were nearest to him using one of the sword stances of the Sardau Star Sword.

Sardau Star Sword was a very advanced swordsmanship style, even more than most of the swordsmanship styles that were practiced widely in the Eternal Empire of the Asurya; that one was clear.

Sardau Star Sword Style depended on fast and precise movements, mostly aimed at the vital points of the opponents. Not like that would work well with the Greenskins because their sole vital point, as it seemed, was their brain.

According to what he knew about the Orks, even when their arteries were cut, and their heart was pierced, they could still fight for more than ten minutes or so. This was another reason why they were so dangerous because even when sustaining injuries that would kill anyone else, Orks could still fight.

Fortunately, this was already addressed with the existence of the Power Sword, which was able to disintegrate almost everything that it came into contact with. Not to mention, these Ork Boyz were at the Epsilon-Grade and one of them was at the Delta-Grade, from what he could sense.

After advancing to the Epsilon-Grade Psyker, his sensing capabilities about someone's strength have been increased several times, and right now, he can rather accurately tell the Warrior or Psionic Grade of someone.

With several price slashes of the Aetherius, two of the nearest Ork Boyz had their heads severed and disintegrated, as Arcturus turned his attention on the remaining five Orks who were already rushing onto him with their axes in their heads and teeth, grinning at the sight of a strong opponent.

Even in the face of death, there was nothing more important for the Greenskins than a powerful opponent to fight against.

This time, he didn't attempt to escape from them to create an opportunity for the trap, but instead, he charged head-on, flipping down, using the height difference between the Greenksins and his own.

Because the Orks were so huge, basically, every one of them was over three and a half meters tall, he targeted their tendons at their legs with his Power Sword, with every single slash of the Aetherius, one of the Greenskins fell down on the ground, as he then just delivered finishing blow to the Ork Boyz.

In the background, he heard occasional notifications from the system about his increased Proficiency with the Sardau Star Sword Style.

Soon enough, all of the remaining Ork Boyz were killed, which wasn't that hard thing to achieve once they fell on the ground. Even though the Orks were far bigger and were physically far stronger, at the same time, they were a bit clumsy.

Their agility was one of their greatest weaknesses, something that Arcturus made use of when he decided to cut their tendons, causing them all to lose their balance. Utilizing his far superior speed over the Greenskins, he managed to kill them rather fast.

After the Greenskins in this room were killed, he hurried through the corridors under the navigation of the Red Queen to one of the engine rooms where one of the Ork Nobz was located and guarding the weapon control system to the main weapons of this Space Hulk.

However, he used to be more stealthy because he wanted to ambush the Ork Nob, as he got a rather disturbing message from the Red Queen not long after he killed the last Ork Boy in the room several tens of meters behind him.

<The main weapons on the Space Hulk are getting activated and charged... if they fire from it right now, it is highly possible that the Obsucrus would be destroyed and Imperial Forces would suffer heavy losses.

Now that the weapon is being activated, I can more precisely calculate its strength and power and I have to say that it is eclipsing the main weapons installed on the Imperial Starfort Lycurgos.>

This certainly didn't make the situation better, but fortunately enough, if he could get some of the nanomachines from the Neural Extranet Terminal Gene Implants into the hardware that was creating the control platform for the main weapon for the Space Hulk, then Red Queen could disable the weapon.

The downside of it, was that, the moment it happened, then the stronger and more powerful Ork Nob, who was in the command center, would notice it and know that something had gone wrong; most possibly he would know that someone killed the other Ork Nob.

This meant that getting into the command center and killing the leader would be much harder, but at the same time, he couldn't let the main weapons fire because the damage would be too great.

'Report the situation to the Vice Admiral about the state of things.'

Arcturus ordered the Red Queen to do this on his behalf as he already entered the place from which he had a nice view of the Ork Nob in the engineering weapon room. The Ork Nob was even bigger than the previous one he encountered some time ago and even more powerful.

Just a single glance was enough to tell him that this Ork Nob was most probably at the Gamma-Grade Warrior, which was rather problematic, as the Orks, especially the Nobz, were far stronger than others of the same Grade.

Most particularly when it came to the physical strength and other aspects of the physique and constitution. Killing and defeating even one of them was a hassle.

Still, Arcuturs had one of the trump cards prepared for the assassination of the Ork Nob...

For a few seconds, he observed the Ork Nob, who was bossing around a few of the Gretchin that were tending to the machinery around them and several of what seemed to be a Tech Boyz.

Gretchin, were smaller subspecies of Orks, who are more cowardly than normal Orks and are usually used as living shields, to clear mine fields, are stepped on to get through difficult terrain, and sometimes even as emergency rations. Gretchins were quite low in the strict hierarchy of Greenskin society because of their small size...

Tech Boyz, on the other hand, were the Orks that were rather high on the social structure, even though they were not the most powerful of their species around. Similar to the Pain Boyz or Weird Boyz, their capabilities and skills were indispensable for the Orkish Klanz and Tribez.
