Chapter 223 And End Is Just Another Start
While his demands were weird, there was nothing the higher authorities of the several kingdoms had against them.
It might be difficult, maybe even close to impossible to stop their war and start living peacefully, at once.
But with some time, and repeated attempts to do so, they could, at the least, try to hold one gathering.
Kyle didn't demand them to drop their weapons and pretend to come at a truce, but he wanted to see them put in the efforts to at least work it out.
It was the weirdest condition the powerhouses had heard in their entire life.
And they had lived a long life, some of them were over a thousand years old already.
As such, they looked at the masked man with a slight tinge of interest before accepting his conditions.
This included that he wouldn't be hunted by anyone.
In the end, this also meant that people wanting to find out more about him would be discouraged to some extent at the bare minimum.
When everyone had agreed to his terms, Kyle started to work without hesitation.
His entire being was screaming for a break, to let him recuperate and get his well-deserved rest.
But that was not feasible anymore as he had promised to help out the several races around them.
Getting into their good books was certainly something that was worth postponing his rest for a few hours.
With that in mind he entered the dome before starting to converse with Arashi,
[Can you please control the surrounding winds in order to gather the spores from all over the dome?]
Right now, Kyle might have replenished some Soul force which was enough to use his wind affinity, but Arashi was overflowing with Soul force, and not as exhausted as him.
This was odd because the Spirit Soul should have overstrained his limits and body just like it was the case with him.
Little did Kyle understand that Arashi would never get tired in the same way as normal existences, not as long as Kyle was alive, and could provide the Spirit Soul with the necessary energy!
Because Arashi used Kyle's energy once it was necessary, he could easily follow the instructions.
Emerging from Kyle's body, the Horned Tempest Fox fell in his arms before focusing on the given task.
With ease, it controlled the surrounding winds, and pulled the spores from all directions towards himself like a magnet.
Several minutes passed while Arashi completed the task, and the only remnants of spores were now left clinging to the body of the Brawl's participants.
However, this was not something Kyle could change.
Before focusing on the unconscious participants, Arashi first moved the compressed wind ball that harbored all spores towards a huge hole that Kyle had found within the dome.
After it was led inside, they covered the hole with dirt, logs, and all kinds of other means, preventing the spores from ever emerging again.
Only once they were done did Arashi release the compressed wind ball in a gentle manner, before yapping out in relief.
This sound caused Kyle to smile faintly before he instructed the little Horned Tempest fox,
"And now…we have to move more than just a few hundred unconscious Cultivators away…"
He was certainly not pleased about this, but Kyle had promised the older authorities to drag the others outside the dome if necessary to protect them from further harm.
As such, he was quickly forced to use his own wind affinity, in addition to Arashi's help to manifest dozens of large crescent wind blades.
Controlling them with just the tip of his fingers, he made them go below the unconscious bodies of the Cultivators before lifting them and moving the heavy bodies outside.
The sight might not be an honorable one, but that was not something Kyle had promised to provide in his service.
Thus, the higher authorities didn't say anything as they kept their frustration to themselves, glad that Kyle had decided to help them without any harsh conditions, to begin with.
An entire hour passed in which both Kyle and Arashi overworked themselves, moving around more than a thousand unconscious Cultivators outside the dome.
In the meantime, some of them had regained their consciousness, and woken up to just slam their weapons into others.
This caused the higher authorities to shake their heads before they called back their younger generation.
Now was not the time to play around anymore, not after all of them had requested help for their own people to be saved.
Because of that, everything went by uninterrupted, allowing Kyle to leave the dome not too long after.
He didn't even glance at the treasures that were scattered on the ground, knowing that he might be tempted by them.
In the end, he wanted nothing more than to sleep for a few days, and to get away from the Sadorla forest.
Thus, the moment he left, Kyle didn't even realize that his mask was getting loose, and nearly falling off his face as his drowsy eyes closed for just a second.
He stumbled, only to fall into something soft before he felt that someone was holding onto his mask in a gentle manner, preventing it from falling off completely, and avoiding the revelation of his face.
Lifting his head, he could barely make out the silver tone of some fur as he heard a familiar voice speaking to him,
"You did a good job. I will tell aunty about it. Now you can go to sleep. Let's have a pleasant reunion in the Glory knight academy~~"
Kyle was unable to understand anything else as a deadly tiredness hit him, nearly knocking him out.
He only sensed that two pairs of hands go around each of his arms before the voices of Beatrice and Yasmine rang out.
But all of that was not something he could comprehend anymore as his mind was going blank.
His eyelids felt extremely heavy, far heavier than during the time in his past life when his life force had been deprived of his old and useless body.
Recalling the very moment of his last breath before the Universe had been devoured, Kyle flinched before closing his eyes, embracing the darkness that allowed him to enter a deep slumber he hadn't been able to receive in months.
Meanwhile, Beatrice and Yasmine were talking to Alice Silvermoon as politely as possible.
The heavenly prodigy of the Lohar race had just regained her senses, only to receive the report about everything that Kyle had done.
Following that, she was certain that her decision to invite him to the Lahin kingdom would be labeled as the move of the 'genius' she was proclaimed to be.
And upon seeing him, Alice didn't think twice before approaching the staggering masked man.
Unfortunately, Beatrice and Yasmine intervened before she could even do anything as they reached him only moments after her.
They didn't speak much to each other, and simply wished one another a few nice weeks and to have a pleasant time until they would meet again.
Of course, the two women took hold of Kyle, and dragged him away from Alice, whose eyes were glued to the masked men.
She wanted to see the face behind him, but at the same time, Alice was not too keen to allow the others to see him too.
In the end, she wanted to surprise herself and see Kyle's face later, when they would meet in the Glory Knight academy.
'There are still a few weeks left until the new term starts… I wonder how much he will change until then!'
While Alice was already curious about Kyle, it was impossible for her not to notice the Phoenix halfling and the mysteriousness around the pale, but otherworldly beautiful woman who acted as if Kyle belonged to them.
It was not difficult to understand that they cared a lot about the masked man, but she was not sure if their feelings were reciprocated, making Alice assume many wild things.
She had yet to get her hands on a new toy, and Kyle seemed like an untamable, yet popular man, something worth to be tamed and toyed around with!
Thus, even after he was led away by the two beauties that held him tightly, Alice followed them intently.
Only after several minutes passed did she take a deep breath as the corners of her lips curled upwards into a smirk.
"Looks like there will be lots of fun once I'm home. I definitely shouldn't miss that!
After saying this to herself, which made her excitement go up a notch, Alice turned serious as she faced the dome once again.
"But before that, I should ensure to not disappoint aunty! Otherwise, my little toy might even get snatched away by her…and that is definitely not something that should ever happen!"
Muttering to herself again, she walked ahead as two silver daggers manifested in her hands, ready to start another massacre if that were to be necessary to get what she desired!
Meanwhile, most of the other prodigies had also regained their consciousness.
Everyone got to know that Kyle was the cause of their 'defeat', to have lost consciousness and that he had 'saved' them from the possibility of being killed by others.
Nobody knew whether the spores would cause some permanent damage, but from the looks of it, everyone seemed fine after a thorough shower and the use of some rather specific liquids that cleansed even the slightest speck of dirt from all over their body.
As such, even the most affected prodigies of the youngest generation didn't take long before they were ready to enter the dome once again.
Without Kyle in the ring, they were confident that the number of uncertain variables and possible incidents would be reduced to a bare minimum.
Even if he didn't know about it, the masked man, one of the weakest Brawl participants in terms of cultivation base, had become the one everyone grew wary about, including the older authorities.
After all, they could clearly tell that Kyle's potential was far higher than initially expected, including his perception and capabilities to fight!
This made them curious about the real identity of the person behind the mask.
But even when they wanted to find out more, it was simply impossible because they would break the promise they made to the same person who was currently saving the lives of their younger generation.
Meanwhile, as the other participants entered the dome once again, and were ready to risk their lives for an invaluable treasure, Kyle was done, and everyone knew about this.
However, what ended for Kyle didn't mean that it had to be the same for everyone else.
After all, someone's finishing line could be considered the starting line for someone else!
