Rebirth: The Villainous Young Master Doesn't Want to Follow the Script

Chapter 58: A Dream or a Fragmented Memory?

**********

'I haven't seen that woman lately. Not the Marchioness, of course! Who would want to see that old hag anyway! Tsk!'

Eclipse haven't seen the Eldest Young Lady as if she just vanished within the thin air. The last time he saw her was from that incident and from the looks of it, the world-hopper didn't need to think any further.

'She's avoiding him of course. Well, good girl. At least you know how to read the room, unlike a certain someone here.'

He was talking about the Eldest Young Lady, Felicity Thoria Chevalier.

The one and only daughter of Marquis Chevalier and the precious little sister of the heir apparent, First Young Master Altron Chevalier and the Second Young Master, Count Harrison Chevalier.

Honestly, Eclipse only had a vague memory about this precious lady from this household.

From what he could recall about her was that…. She didn't have much scene in the world plot since the story plot wasn't focus on her and it's from the heroine's point of view since the heroine [Lorraine] could only catch a glimpse on her since Felicity is one of the senior students and probably, this school year she will graduate from that academy.

Eclipse only know about her from his vague memories and from the system archive that he pulled out to check everyone's information within this worldline.

He didn't pay much attention to her since it wasn't his business to involve with that woman and not only that, but she is also a spitting image of her dear mother which Eclipse loathe her even more.

Well, for the record, Eclipse just hated Felicity on how she resembles her mother, the Marchioness, too much as if she ever wonders around the manor during his "recuperating" period, Eclipse wouldn't hesitate to lash out at her and even though he only pretend to be frightened by her mere sight but in reality, the world-hopper still couldn't forget those vague disgusting touches from the Marchioness in his previous life.

Eclipse didn't hate Felicity, but he hated how she's so similar to that old hag from top to bottom that sometimes he might puke just sighting her.

It might sound childish on his part to loathe someone who didn't do anything wrong to him, but can someone blame him?

He had lived a life full of misery, humiliation and abandonment from the people around him ever since her biological mother passed away and to rubbed at his face on how disgraceful he was and a stain to his household's legacy?

If others heard what he was thinking, there is no doubt more insults would rub into his face and would tell him how ungrateful and unfilial a son he is.

'Is it our fault that the Marquis' people managed to find me and my mother back then? Did we even beg and ask them to take us away from where they found us? Tsk! D*mn hypocrites!'

If that d*mn Marquis didn't barge into their lives back then, both him and his mother could have lived a humble life away from the criticism and humiliation from the noble society since those hypocrites where so obsessed with the purity of one household's bloodline!

Eclipse snapped from those thoughts as he looked around and he just noticed that the First Young Master wasn't in front of him any longer, but the world-hopper saw the man ordered the knights who would escort him throughout his journey to the academy.

He walked towards where Altron was because he noticed that there were a couple of knights that would be joining him, and he didn't want more knights or even servants that would go with him.

If this was before, he wouldn't care if more people would join him but this time, Eclipse didn't want more troublesome things to come by along the way.

"F-first Young Master…."

Most servants, maids and butlers immediately looked at the shivering timid young master who just spoken is a mumble way while bowing down at the First Young Master.

From the other's perspective, when the news about the Third Young Master, a child with a bad-tempered personality drastically change but later on became timid because of the incident happened to him, most of them couldn't help but felt pity whenever they saw the young child quivering in fear as if someone would just assault him in no time.

Well, they couldn't blame the child when the one adult who were supposed to guide and protect this child in place of his deceased biological mother, assault him in a much more humiliating way then, it's understandable if the Third Young Master would develop a trauma that would leave a scar within his whole life.

The Third Young Master, although had a bad reputation as a bad-tempered and ill-mannered child and with his inability to manifest the household's proud bloodline powers, he was isolated by his peers and even his family as well. Labelling as a good-for-nothing and a disgusting half-noble child.

However, in terms of appearance, just ignore those labels that's imprinted within this reputation, the Third Young Master could have been passed on as a Young Lady if he were ever born as a girl.

Since, according to those people who had met the late Lady Aryna personally, the Third Young Master is truly the spitting image of his deceased biological mother, except for his eyes that he inherited from the Chevaliers, most prominently, from the current Marquis' color shade.

'How pitiful the Third Young Master was…'

Although they wanted to give comfort to the Third Young Master, they wouldn't dare to do so in front of the First Young Master, and it will be them crossing the line if they did such a thing.

The Third Young Master might be a child and needed someone's protection from the adults that he could rely on but still, no matter what his reputation as the illegitimate son of the current Marquis, the Third Young Master is still a noble child and about them, they were just servants.

That's why they just resumed their work and do their job efficiently but most of them are still looking out for the Third Young Master, in case he needs something.

Eclipse saw this on his peripheral vision, and he couldn't help but wants to laugh out loud but held himself to it.

He snorted mentally for those servants who thinks themselves are better than any nobles out there, but the world-hopper understands the circumstances.

Even if it's just for the sake of a façade, these servants, at least, cared about his well-being and that's enough for him, given their position.

"C-can you…. P-please…. Reduce the number of the knights…. And the s-servants who would accompany me? I-I…. don't want to drag some attention to myself…."

....

...…

...….

« ….. T-the.... f-fate.... o-f.... t-this.... w-world.... l-lies.... w-within.... h-his.... h-hands.... m-must.... p-protect.... »

He didn't understand at all. What does those voices mean?

Fate of the world?

Lies within who's hands?

Must protect?

Those hush and vague voices that Altron keep on hearing after he visits his youngest brother who was recuperating because of the incident happened.

This is only his speculation since he only heard these voices after he visited Ezekiel in his temporary quarters since his own quarters are now in a wretched state because of what happened there.

However, after that day, those hush voices still keep appearing whether he was alone, doing his work as the temporary head of the household or even his dreams.

His youngest brother should be recuperating at the main building of the manor, but he remembers that his mother, the Marchioness, resides there but still locked on her quarters for an indefinite period of time.

Even though his mother was locked up on her quarters, the First Young Master wasn't that stupid to place his traumatic youngest brother in that manor, lest he wanted to trigger his younger brother's some unwanted memories.

However, what shock him the most is about the recent dreams he had.

There was nothing in his dream at first.

But as times goes by, those empty dreams shape into something that he didn't expect.

All he could see is…. blood scattered around and he tried to look around for the source.

Whenever he tried to analyze his dreams, he would always woke up at the middle of the night, sweating bullets keep flowing down on his forehead as he catches his breath heavily.

He didn't know why keeps on dreaming something like that, as if something was hinted on him.

He felt drained and at the same time, paranoid for that reason but he didn't let himself to give in because he needs to be strong for the sake of his family.

Especially, for Ezekiel.

As many nights had passed and those recurring dreams happened again until a certain dream that changes everything in his perspective.

The scene that appeared in Altron's dream was none other than…. The Trial Court of Stellarus Empire.

From that dream…. A person stands on the trial as they call out for a treason…

And the person who stood at the center of the trial was none other than….

His younger brother, Ezekiel...
