Eclipse snapped from his thoughts when those words came out from Francis' lips, and he frowns.

'Why does this guy have a different attitude compared to the ones that I remember from my previous life?'

In his previous life, Francis was known for his amiable personality as he is an instructor and he treated everyone equally, whether they were nobles or royals because for him, inside the academy, all students are the same in his eyes.

Even Ezekiel, who was notoriously known for his bad-tempered and ill-mannered personality, said that everyone would just ignore or distance themselves from him because they didn't want to deal with his childish tantrum or be the receiving end of his wrath.

Francis is one of the few people that would approach and guide Ezekiel with sincerity.

'In short, he is a pain in the a** who would stick his nose to other people's business! Tsk! Just remembering how he pestered me to go and attend to his class when he manage to find me slacking off.'

Eclipse recalled a vague memory from his previous life about Francis. Although he is wary of him at first, he barely tolerates the other's presence whenever he manages to catch him skipping his classes.

From the memories alone, Francis might be tolerable to other students but not the same with his fellow instructors in the academy. That might be because of his special treatment and the Headmaster favors him a lot.

One of the reasons why he was only exiled within the Empire was because of the Headmaster.

Although Eclipse haven't met the Headmaster personally in his previous life but from what he heard was…. The Headmaster of Lumen Academy is a special one.

In the world plot, he was only mentioned a couple of times but never was introduced properly.

Even if Eclipse looked out at the system archive but there was no information about the Headmaster.

'A mysterious wandering pair and a no-name Headmaster? These two are connected to Francis but was never mentioned or even gave a hint about their identities.'

Sometimes, Eclipse would think that Francis might be an anomaly from the world-hopper's perspective.

Francis is one of the male leads in the world plot of [Mystique Enchantress] but unlike the other male leads who were like heads over heels when the heroine was within the vicinity, Francis is the only person who seems like a normal person or from the world-hopper's terminology was called…. Self-aware.

Wait a minute…. Self-aware?

It seems like Eclipse have a sudden realization as he reminisce those vague memories about Francis.

'However, it's too early to conclude everything.'

This is not the first time Eclipse has experienced this kind of scenario.

During his world-hopping journey, he encountered countless self-aware characters but most of them are neither a nobody nor just a passerby that was not involved in the world-plot. Sometimes, those self-aware characters would help him with his missions during the course of his stay within those worldlines.

Eclipse felt like he had a sidekick that was stationed in every worldlines that he visited and even though he had Silver as his system companion, but Silver couldn't intervene that much with his missions personally and only those self-aware characters could manage to help him.

Not only that, but those self-aware characters are also aware of his identity as a world-hopper.

Although those self-aware characters had different names, identities, races or jobs…. He feels like those self-aware characters are in one soul, but he confirmed this to Silver that those self-aware characters aren't.

"Third Young Master, I mean no harm. I just wanted to have a chat with you. Please believe me."

If this were before, Eclipse would panic and get hysterical because of this incident but his personality, skills and mentality had honed him as a world-hopper and for being alive for more than a millennium year.

"Okay but make sure your other people that lurks within the shadows better behave themselves. Also, don't order a chase for my other companions there. Just let them go."

Francis smiled at him; "Don't worry, Third Young Master. I already told them in an advance about that. Please be at ease."

'Be at ease, my a**! You're still a painful a**hole to handle with.'

If Francis is really a self-aware character, what could have happened next?

Although Eclipse didn't care about the world plot of this worldline would collapse but what concerns him was about his soul energy.

There are reasons why his superior, Red, choose to reincarnate him back to his original worldline.

'Also, there was this about my mother's origin and her involvement about this Project Terix that triggered some of the hidden tasks.'

There are a lot of things that he needs to settle first before he can escape from that household and free himself to be involved within the main characters of this worldline.

However, meeting 2 out of the 6 male leads early in the world plot is just an obstacle for his plan.

Eclipse looked at the person in front of him who smiled at him as if waiting for him to make the first move.

He sighed as he speaks; "Then let's go."

The other two swordmaster who was with them earlier were dismissed by Francis as he stated that he wanted to have a chat with Eclipse privately but those swordmasters were guarding the place they were right now.

The assassins, on the other hand, were on standby and assisted on guarding the place either.

'Do I even have a choice?! Argh! I don't know if it's the right decision for me to accept this invitation.'

Although Eclipse loathed the male leads and the heroine, Francis is the only exception.
