Rebirth: The Villainous Young Master Doesn't Want to Follow the Script

From the word itself, Link Tasks are tasks that are connected to either the main quest task or the sub-quest task that every world-hoppers must know.

Link tasks are rarely to come by and most of the time, they were connected to either the main quests or the sub-quests. As for how to trigger, that would depend on the situation.

However, for the hidden task to have a link task, that's a different story.

'Just what is going on here?! W-why is my mother's….. This doesn't make any sense! Even though it's been millennium years since then, I might have forgotten most of the events but surely, I won't forget how I attend my own mother's funeral! Especially since I'm the one who manage it!'

Rheina, on the other hand, keep quiet on the sideline while looking at the glass chamber in front of her the first time she arrives in this room.

From earlier, she noticed another presence when both of them are looking for the [Dawn of Tears] and she thought someone was with them without knowing and she blamed herself for not being cautious within her surroundings.

She didn't tell Eclipse right away and took matters on her own hands as she didn't want to burden the young man furthermore.

After all, Eclipse is helping her to get the elixir that she really needs it for her younger brother.

Not only that, but the young man also offered an alliance with her to take down that d*mn bastard of a traitor Thesus for deceiving them with his pitiful situation back then.

Even though they only had an alliance, but Rheina had this nagging feeling that she felt responsible for this young man and for some unknown reason, she feels like…. She owes the young a debt that she didn't quite remember.

When she nearly reached the destination where the presence she felt earlier, because of her carelessness, she accidentally stepped into some annoying mechanism on the floor that made her cussed under her breath but before she could react, the second room chamber suddenly light up and she prepare herself for any incoming attack coming from there.

However, she waited for a minute but there was no movement coming from that place, so she moved cautiously to that direction and when she had reached that place, she went inside and saw something that she didn't expected.

Rheina isn't stupid of what she's seeing right now. Just by taking a glance at the scene in front of her will know the answers.

'Is this the reason why the Hall of Legacy is heavily guarded?'

She clenched his fists as she looked at what's in front of her.

'What would be his reaction if he finds out? I can already imagine what would happen by just thinking about what he had done to the Marchioness. The Third Young Master wouldn't let those people who were involve with this could get away with it!'

Now back at the scene, Rheina just observed Eclipse who stood in front of the glass chamber containing her unconscious mother inside and right now, even though their top priority was to find the [Dawn of Tears] as per agreement, Rheina wasn't that heartless, and she let the young man to calm his thoughts for a while.

'Things are going to get messy; it seems.'

'Just what is this? This might be the first time I had encountered such difficult tasks in my life as a world-hopper. A hidden task with a link task on top of that. Argh! Just thinking about it makes my head would blow up because of this!'

Eclipse looked at the glass chamber where his presumed deceased mother, Aryna Asterrix, laid inside.

'It's been five years since she died but her body didn't decay as time passed by. Is it because of these magic seals within the glass chamber? The only ones who could have an access of the Hall of Legacy are the current Marquis and his three children. I don't want to jump into conclusions, but I need to investigate this further.'

It seems like before Eclipse could be sent back into the academy, he needs to investigate this urgently.

But before he could do that, Eclipse needs to find the [Dawn of Tears] first, as per agreement between him and the Lotus Killer of Arcanum De Fleur.

"Rheina, we need to—ouch!"

Eclipse stopped mid-sentence as he hissed as he felt like someone prick on his fingers and blood flows out without warning, which makes Rheina went to his side to take a look.

"Sir Eclipse, what happened?! You didn't happen to touch anything here, right?!"

She got startled as well when she heard the young man hissed in pained but from what she observed, Eclipse didn't do anything other than stared at the glass chamber and didn't touch those magic seals.

"Don't worry, it's just a minor scratch and nothing else."

As he said that, he took out his napkin cloth from his pocket and wipe the blood to clean it and shake off his hand because he felt numb as he didn't know how he got scratch in the first place.

However, they didn't notice that as soon as Eclipse shake off his wounded hand, his blood got in contact in the glass chamber and the magic seals that had inscriptions suddenly disappeared.

"Sir Eclipse, look out!"

Rheina, sensed that something isn't right, took cover at Eclipse when an electric spark suddenly appeared in front of them and she looked at the glass chamber, only to see that those inscription within the magic seals disappeared and she protected Eclipse by covering his eyes to prevent him for being exposed from too much light.

Eclipse, whose eyes are now covered by Rheina's hands, his system interface appeared through his eyes and frowned at the content that's laid out within the system interface.

Eclipse felt dizzy and was about to stumbled down on the floor, but Rheina manage to get a hold of him while protecting him.

"Sir Eclipse are you alright?!"

He couldn't hear what Rheina was talking about, but he tried to compose himself while receiving the information from the system that's being transferred to his head.

Eclipse gasped as he opened his eyes with a conflicted gaze and looked around within his surroundings only to find out that he is still in that chamber where the body of his deceased mother Aryna Asterrix lies.

He holds his head as he recalls the information that he just witnessed and he couldn't quite get a hold of it because it's not just the typical information but from what he observed, it seems like…. A memory…. From someone's point of view…..

'The question is…. from who's memory that I had witness?'

« Host! Eclipse! »

Eclipse got startled because of the familiar robotic voice that he won't forget for the rest of his life because…. This robotic voice is the one who accompanied him throughout his world-hopping journey.

'Silver! I thought it will take too long for you to be with me. Just what happen?'

« Before you ask this Silver about what happen, Host Eclipse should focus on the matters on hand first. Look at your front. »

He followed what Silver stated and when he looked at the front, he's shocked to find out that the glass chamber where his unconscious mother's body lies is nowhere to be seen.

'W-wait a minute! What happened here?! Where's the glass chamber and my mother's body!'

« Host, are those eyes of yours are only for decoration? Why don't you look even further…. »

Eclipse; "….."

'This cheeky b*stard of a system of mine! Silver is really different from the other system from the World-Hopping Department.'

He didn't want to argue with Silver and just followed the instruction to looked at the center where the glass chamber was located before it disappeared without notice.

Upon inspecting, Eclipse notices a glimpse of something spark of light from the center and if he take a closer look, he frowns.

'A crystal orb?'
