Jiang DeXian paused for a little, then said, “Yes, that was me who did it.”
He neither denied it nor looked for any excuses. He was open and honest. Looking quietly at Fang JunRong, he seemed to be waiting for some sort of a response from her.
Fang JunRong sighed slightly. Her sigh fell into the air and mixed in with a bit of resort.
Jiang DeXian’s face turned a little pale. Reflexively, his fingers tightened.
“You can give me a heads-up next time before you act. I can provide you with assistance,” said Fang JunRong.
“That being said, you handled it more thoroughly than I would have imagined.”
She could have helped drop a few words with a few media companies.
“I thought you would think that I am scheming and petty,” said Jiang DeXian in a low voice. His voice had always been clear like a breeze in the woods. When he lowered it, it had an added magnetic property to it. It was like cello in the middle of the night. It could touch one’s heart. With his voice, even if he quit the entertainment circle, he could easily become a voice actor.
Taking a break from her work, she replied to him, “I don’t feel that it was wrong for you to seek your revenge. In fact, I couldn’t believe you have waited so long to do so. Besides, everything that you have exposed were things that he had comitted in the past. You weren’t slandering him. So why would I think it was wrong of you to do so?”
She hated it when others accused her when she exerted her revenge. As such, she would not interfere with others exerting theirs either. As long as the law was not broken and it was not a setup, the it was all Jiang DeXian’s personal choice. If someone was to come to her and asked her to be nice to Li WangJin and the others, she would for sure throw water at them.
Jiang DeXian’s lips curved upward and he looked much more relaxed. He seemed to have been relieved from what had been bothering him.
“Thank you. You are the most thoughtful and most … person that I have met.”
He mumbled on the adjective after thoughtful and Fang JunRong didn’t quite catch it. She figured it would be some other compliment. She had been getting a lot of those as of late. After all, plenty raved about her on her Weibo page daily. Compliments from the fans could surprise one with their variety of adjectives. All in all, Fang JunRong was now immune to compliments.
She glanced over at him and, her tone calm, “Now that you know that I am a great boss, you need to work hard for me.” She may have said that, but she had 100% faith in Jiang DeXian’s ability. She had been very lucky in this life time. Both Jiang WenYu and Jiang DeXian were very talented.
“Yes, Boss.”
Fang JunRong handed a few contracts over to him to contact the other parties. She could relax more with such a good assistance and could take a break from time to time. After her rebirth, there was no need for her to work herself to death. She would relax when necessary.

Li XinYun walked out of the gym and her cheeks had the healthy glow after a workout session. Even without any makeup on, her skin was fair and delicate. She had been fairly busy a while back and had worked into the middle of the nights quite a few times. She could feel that she hasn’t been as healthy as she used to be. As such, she had signed up for some workout classes. Now that the talent show was over and matters having to do with Shengxing was slowly getting on track, she could finally enjoy a little bit of her life and had some free time for working out.
She would eat more of the apples that her mother had brought over when she got home. Those apples were so delicious that she could eat three in one sitting!
As soon as she walked out of the gym, she saw a somewhat but not really familiar person in front of her when she looked up. He looked familiar to her because he still looked the same as she had remembered and he was strange because his temperament seemed to have changed a lot.
In front of her was Li ShiZe, her once brother, whom she hadn’t seen in over 6 months. That was correct, she no longer saw him as family. The Li ShiZe in the past always had a cold look and was cool and prideful like a prince. The Li ShiZe now, after being taught a few lessons by the society, had lost his pridefulness. The frown fixated on him made him look gloomy.
Her bodyguard stood next to her protectively.
