Chapter 285 – Her coming here today was a big mistake. (2)
He did like the Zhang family much, but he had nothing against the child Su QinMei. He mellowed out a lot and comforted her. “It is alright. You’ve found your son now. Wenyu is more talented than Bi. One could almost say he is a genius.”
Then he started tooting Jiang WenYu’s horn, hoping to make Su QinMei feel better because of her outstanding older son. It was not healthy to be so gloomy all the time.
Listening to their conversation, Fang JunRong’s lips couldn’t help but started curving up. Occasionally, she would chime in and praise about Jiang WenYu some as well. With each positive thing that President Chu said about Jiang WenYu, Su QinMei felt that her heart was stabbed by a knife again.
Finally, someone came over to talk to President Chu and Su QinMei was finally able to get her sweet relief.
The oh-good-he-was-finally-gonelook on Su QinMei clearly let Fang JunRong knew that she was about to have a break down. She would not otherwise have acted the way that she did in front of others. She found that amusing. She could replace someone else and try to kill an innocent child but she was bothered by others speaking poorly of her?
That being said, Fang JunRong did not waste more time messing around with Su QinMei. There was a real purpose to her visit. Messing around with Su QinMei was just the icing on the cake.
She walked away quickly and continued perusing and analyzing other vendors’ products and comparing their pricing with the information that she had obtained from President Chu and President Jia. She was finally able to nailed down three contracts at reasonable prices. She had also collected a few business cards at the same time and left her contact information with some potential vendors.
As afternoon approached, the appraisal event was about to begin. Fang JunRong thought about messing around as well but, in consideration that she had already sold her wild ginseng to President Jia, decided against it. She would just take this as a learning opportunity. President Jia, as though worry that there would be changes if things were dragged out too long, quickly transferred the money over and arranged for a few bodyguards to transport the wild ginseng home immediately after Fang JunRong had handed it over to him.
As that was what had occupied his mind, he seemed distracted through the entire process. Luckily, he had President Chu there to back him up. The event took place smoothly.
Su QinMei went all out today. She brought with her saffron and “chicken treasure” to the competition.* Saffron is spice that was more expensive than gold. It is sometimes referred to as red gold. What she brought with her was the best of the best. After appraised by the experts, 100 g of her saffron was worth around 500,000 yuan on the market.
In addition, the all-natural “chicken treasure” that she had brought over also awed many. All-natural “chicken treasures” do not come by easily. Even chickens that had been raised for over 2 years had only a one in 10 million chance of producing “chicken treasure”. Hers was bigger than others that had appeared in the auction market in the past and possessed higher medicinal value. Per the appraisal, its market price was around 4 million yuan. Many had already approached Su QinMei to find out whether she was willing to part with it.
Naturally, Su QinMei turned the offers down. Her two precious items allowed her to take the champion title today and the prize award was a lingzhi that was worth over 100,000 yuan.
Not very many companies needed that title but the Su family did, quite urgently so. All her brother did was fool around all day long and never taking care of the company matters. He handed the control over to the shareholders that kissed up to him. When she audited the books a couple of days ago, she noticed that their capital had already shrank a lot and the contracts that they had signed were a mess. At this rate, their family would be ruined in his hands.
Regaining their fame was just the first step in her plans. She wanted the others to know that, as much as the Su family had laid dormant the last few years, but their backbone remained and had precious collections like the ones that she had shown off.
The success of her first step improved Su QinMei’s mood greatly and she had the first smile of her day.
