Perfect Villain Life: Universal Job Change

Chapter 56 - Brother and Sister Reunited

Chapter 56: Brother and Sister Reunited

More and more professionals were arriving at the valley. The news of the Jixia Academy students being wiped out had already spread throughout the Hengjiang region. Even the death of Li Yang, the eldest son of the Imperial Capital’s Li family, was known.

However, few people dared to discuss it—everyone understood that this matter was far deeper than it appeared, and they preferred to keep their distance.

After all, whatever happened to Jixia Academy didn’t concern them. What truly mattered was Shattered Heaven—that directly impacted their future!

The teleportation array in the Hengjiang region continued to flicker. A stunningly beautiful young woman appeared, accompanied by a stern-looking middle-aged woman.

“Brother!” As soon as the young woman arrived, she immediately spotted Qin Xian and rushed forward, throwing herself into his arms. This beautiful young woman was none other than Qin Xian’s sister, Qin Li.

Burying her face in her brother’s chest, Qin Li greedily breathed in his scent, her expression one of pure relief.

The people nearby couldn’t help but glance at the scene, many with puzzled looks. Qin Li’s behavior went beyond the typical affection a sister would show for her brother.

But Qin Li didn’t care about anyone else’s opinion. In her eyes, there was only Qin Xian!

Qin Xian’s face lit up with a genuine smile as he stroked his sister’s long hair. With a soft chuckle, he said, “Li’er, it’s been two months, and you’ve grown much stronger.”

Qin Li finally raised her head, gazing at Qin Xian’s handsome face with determination. “I can help you now, brother.”

Qin Xian smiled warmly and responded gently, “You’ve always been able to help me.”

The two of them finally separated, standing side by side. Qin Li’s beautiful face was full of joy, and simply being able to stand next to her brother seemed to satisfy her completely.

As she stole a glance at Qin Xian, Qin Li whispered to herself, “Brother… no matter what you want, I’ll help you.”

In truth, Qin Li’s position within the Qin family was rather… awkward. She knew that she wasn’t Qin Ming’s biological daughter—she had been adopted.

And she could keenly sense that her father, Qin Ming, didn’t love her. In fact, Qin Ming seemed not to care for anyone but Qin Xian. It was as if all of the legendary figure’s affection was reserved solely for his only son.

As for Qin Li, she was no different from any of the other expendable pawns who could be discarded at any time. The other members of the Qin family treated Qin Li with a distant politeness, but only Qin Xian genuinely cared for her as his sister.

They had grown up together, and when she was younger, Qin Li had been bullied by the other children of the Qin family. It was Qin Xian who had stepped in to protect her, making those children kneel and apologize.

Even now, Qin Li could still vividly recall that scene.

A young Qin Xian had stood smiling before a group of adults, calmly saying, “If you don’t apologize, you’ll be kicked out of the Qin family and erased from the family registry tomorrow. I promise.”

And just like that, the adults had forced their children to bow and offer heartfelt apologies to Qin Li.

From that day on, no one in the Qin family dared to bully her again. That moment was forever etched in Qin Li’s memory.

Although Qin Ming didn’t care much for Qin Li, he still provided her with all the resources and privileges the Qin family had to offer. Because of this, Qin Li and Qin Xian grew up inseparable, sharing a deep bond.

Qin Li had once considered investigating her true origins, wanting to know who her biological parents were. But when Qin Xian found out, he had seriously told her, “All you need to know is that you are my sister. You don’t need to know anything else.”

Since then, Qin Li had never sought the truth, fearing that if she discovered it, her brother might abandon her.

At the teleportation array in the Hengjiang region, another flash of light appeared, and a young man with a handsome face stepped out.

People nearby couldn’t help but glance at him, sensing an aura of pressure from him—a pressure that seemed to come from the depths of their souls.

A dragon-class professional!?

However, the crowd quickly shook their heads and chuckled. Ever since the emperor’s disappearance, the Divine Dragon Empire had not seen a dragon-class professional.

How could a new one exist? If there were, that person would undoubtedly be the most suitable heir to the throne.

Ye Xuan noticed the peculiar looks from the people around him, but his expression remained calm. Although he had hidden his profession status, the pressure that came with being a dragon-class professional was not something that could be entirely concealed.

Fortunately, he could choose to hide his class, so others could not confirm it. Just then, the nearby chatter reached his ears.

“Several important figures have arrived this time! Even the Qin family’s eldest son and daughter are here!”

“Better watch out! Offending the Qin family is a surefire way to get yourself killed, and you won’t even know how it happened…”

Hearing the mention of the Qin family, Ye Xuan’s eyes instantly sharpened. With a gaze like a hawk, he immediately spotted a group of formidable individuals, surrounding two young people in the distance.

The moment he saw the stunning young woman, Ye Xuan’s heart trembled, and his face filled with excitement.

“Sister, I’ve finally found you…”
