Chapter 389

Chapter 389 - Bai Yu Was Asleep and He Taught His Family to Cultivate

Upon hearing the news, Bai Yu was ecstatic, even though he had suspected as much for some time.

“Thank you, Master!”

Just as Bai Yu was about to enter his new abode, something seemed to occur to him.

He turned to Jiang Hao with a look of concern.

“Master, I'm not sure when I'll be able to fully control this painting, so I fear I may fall into a deep sleep during the process!”

Jiang Hao was unfazed by this revelation.

Given Bai Yu's current abilities, she couldn't offer him any assistance anyway. Her falling into a deep sleep would cause him no loss whatsoever.

“It's no trouble at all. Focus on mastering the painting at your own pace.”

Hearing this, Bai Yu bowed respectfully to Jiang Hao. After expressing his gratitude, Bai Yu transformed into a beam of light and swiftly drifted towards the scroll in Jiang Hao's hands.

Though Bai Yu had pledged loyalty to Jiang Hao, their connection lacked deep emotional ties, so there was no heart-wrenching farewell.

But as she neared the painting, a burst of milky white light flared from it, blocking her entry!

The two were momentarily at an impasse, but it didn't last long.

Bai Yu fully integrated into the painting.

Jiang Hao watched as the shadow of Bai Yu within the painting merged with the image he had drawn, becoming one and the same.

The painting flickered with a white glow, then suddenly turned mundane and fell into a deep quietude.

Jiang Hao glanced at it, realizing Bai Yu must have entered her slumber, and decided not to dwell on it.

He then stowed the painting back into the System Space.

With Bai Yu's situation resolved, Jiang Hao's thoughts turned serious.

“Now that ghosts have begun to emerge, it's far too risky for Mom, Dad, Zixuan, and the others, since they're still ordinary people.”

“I need to find a way to turn them into martial cultivators quickly, or at least find something else to ensure their safety.”

It was then that an idea struck Jiang Hao.

“Could I possibly teach them martial arts myself?”

Yet he knew that mastering martial arts was not a quick endeavor; it wouldn't be an immediate solution.

“Seems like I'm still dependent on the system,” Jiang Hao sighed to himself.

Yet, he resolved to make an attempt!

He then pulled up his skill bar, ready to select a skill to teach them.

Jiang Hao perused his skill bar, noting four skills he could impart: the Old Master's boxing technique, the Dog Beating Staff Technique, the Nine Solitary Swords, and Lee's Flying Knife.

But the last two might be beyond the reach of the average person.

Regardless, if they could just grasp the fundamentals, Jiang Hao could bolster their training with medicinal cuisine, accelerating their cultivation level significantly.

“That settles it. Plus, I've got some spiritual materials on hand!”

“Still, ordinary martial cultivators might not be able to fend off spirits just yet. Strong qi and blood can keep common ghosts at bay, but that same vigor also attracts malevolent spirits.

I'll need to find them something special for protection.”

It was then that Jiang Hao thought of the items people often associate with warding off spirits, like talismans or consecrated accessories.

”I should take the chance to visit some renowned Taoist temples and monasteries!”

For now, though, Jiang Hao decided it was time to consult with his parents.

……

Some time later, the Jiang family gathered in the living room, Jiang’s father, Jiang’s mother, and Jiang Zixuan staring at Jiang Hao in astonishment.

He had just reiterated his earlier conversation with Jiang’s father and demonstrated a bit of his own capabilities.

That's what led to the scene before them.

“Dad, Mom, Zixuan, you have four cultivation techniques to choose from!”
