Lin Yi said to the sales assistant, "These two are my dad and father-in-law. We mainly want to pick an RV because we have quite a few family members, so functionality will do."
"Of course, of course! Our dealership has a wide variety of models, and we'll make sure you find one that satisfies you!" The assistant led the three men to the VIP room and served them tea.
"The price of an RV will definitely be higher, Mr. Lin, do you have a budget? Or were there any specific models you had in mind in advance?" the sales assistant inquired.
"We haven't set a budget and haven't looked at any models in advance. Let's just see what's available today! If we find the right one, we won't care about the price," Lin Yi said with great confidence, obviously a man of means.
Lin Yi's dad also added, "The most important thing is that it has to be suitable. It might take us a while to choose, does your dealership have the RVs in stock?"
The assistant quickly replied, "We do have RVs in stock! We're one of the top three largest dealerships in Xiangcheng, with a significant inventory! If you find the right one, taking it home today won't be a problem at all! Let me take you all to have a closer look at the RV interiors!"
The assistant made a point to wait until the three valued customers had finished their tea before standing up to lead them to the showroom.
"We have a great variety of brands here too. Do you have a particular brand in mind? Whether it's Hyundai, Ford, SAIC, or others, it's no issue. We carry over a dozen brands!"
Lin Yi's dad responded, "Let's start by looking at the SAIC ones. Then we can see how the Hyundai models are, and I've heard good things about Geely as well."
After hearing this, Lin Yi also said to the assistant, "After looking at those three brands, let's take a look at Mercedes! After all, with a name like that, nobody would believe they're not up to par."
The assistant perked up upon hearing this, "Mr. Lin, if you're really considering the Mercedes brand, why don't we head over to look at those models now? Our dealership only has one model of Mercedes RV, so after you've seen that, we can look at other brands."
"Alright, let's start with Mercedes then," both elders agreed.
And so, they walked towards the Mercedes section, passing by other brand-specific areas, and saw a variety of RVs, some compact, and some incredibly large, just like buses.
"The interiors of these larger RVs must be very spacious, but they seem a bit too big; driving and finding parking spaces would be inconvenient," Han Xuewei's dad commented upon seeing the larger RVs.
Lin Yi's dad also added, "Such a large vehicle isn't quite right for us. We're buying an RV for convenience. Our baby is still small and we can't go far, just around the city area. So, something this large and bulky doesn't make much sense."
Lin Yi nodded in agreement, "Yeah, I had also considered this type, but in the end, I thought it would be better to wait until the kids are older and we go on family trips. Then we could sell the old one and get something bigger, more spacious for the whole family. For now, when choosing a model, we should aim for practicality! After all, we won't drive it all the time."
The assistant started to give an introduction, "Let me give you all a brief overview! We have all sorts of RVs here in our dealership."
"These RVs to our left are the economical models, very popular among the younger crowd for traveling, and they're quite affordable too, costing less than 400,000 yuan to drive off the lot."
"And these RVs are not too bulky, maximizing the use of space. Small but complete, you know. Although they're about the same size, some have two beds, some only one, and the number of seats also varies, so it's up to you to decide what you prefer!"
After listening, Lin Yi's dad nodded and said, "We hope for more seats, as it's certainly more secure to sit holding the baby."
"Yes, I agree with that," Han Xue's dad also nodded in approval.
"As for the size, it would be nice if it's slightly bigger than an ambulance and, of course, it needs to be comfortable," Lin Yi added.
After looking around with the sales assistant for quite some time, they found that all the RVs were bigger than they expected.
Money was no object for them; what they truly wanted was practicality.
After touring with the assistant and trying out various classic models, Lin Yi still hadn't found one to his satisfaction.
Some were the right size but had an interior layout he didn't like, or the inside was too low. In short, after looking for a long time, not one of the models caught their eye.
Ever since Han Xue's dad started receiving pocket money from his son-in-law, he had begun to pursue quality and practicality, not caring about the price at all! After all, the money was spent on the family, so naturally, he wanted something better.
"This model is by Geely, unlike other RVs, as it's a new energy vehicle. However, it is slightly longer, which makes finding a parking spot difficult, almost impossible on the side of the road," the assistant explained.
"But just so you know, many RVs have long bodies, which is something you should consider."
"This Ford T is relatively smaller in size, but still takes up an entire parking space. If the space is small, it's not easy to park. Would you consider a business vehicle?" the assistant turned and inquired.
"We've discussed this before we came out; we don't really want a business vehicle, because of the baby."
The reason they chose an RV was that it's convenient when out and about to feed the baby, and even making up a bottle of milk is very easy. Even folding three strollers is not an issue, and when the baby grows up and needs more stuff, the RV has enough room to accommodate everything.
The family had already made plans, and both fathers agreed.
"So, are we still interested in the Mercedes, or shall we go directly to the Ford?" the assistant turned and asked.
"Your dealership has the cars in stock, right? Can we drive one home today?" Han Xuewei's dad suddenly asked.
"Yes, we can complete the paperwork in under ten minutes, and after payment, you can take the car," the assistant answered with a standard smile, very respectfully.
Last time, Lin Yi bought three cars in one go, shooting his sales for the day up to several million! He also won the sales champion of the month!
And from today's situation, he had to sell an RV, no matter what. Since the commission on RVs was high and these customers were not short of money, he might as well try to sell them something a bit more expensive!
