Chapter 85: Organized Gang
Chapter 85: Organized Gang
Long Yu thought for a moment and said, "Shi Xuan, find out who is behind them. I want to know the answer before morning."
Shi Xuan nodded, "Yes, Captain."
After receiving the order, Shi Xuan, Jia Xiang, and Huang Qian dragged the robbers towards the end of the corridor.
Long Yu, knowing their bloody interrogation methods, said to Yao Ran, "The supplies we brought back are still on the motorboats. Let's move them up."
Yao Ran nodded, "Alright."
After handing the robbers over to his three friends, Long Yu took Yao Ran, Huang Zhihui, and Deng Qiqi to move the supplies back to the 20th floor. When they finished moving everything, he hid the motorboat and returned to the 20th floor.
Looking at the pile of chopped wood, Yao Ran asked, "Have you noticed the change in temperature in the past few days?"
Long Yu nodded, "Yes, winter is coming. We must prepare more firewood before the temperature drops further."
Hearing this, Deng Qiqi said, "Elder Brother Long Yu, the rain hasn't stopped yet. Do you think it will snow?"
Long Yu shook his head and frowned slightly, "With the current weather, we can't predict anything. It might snow suddenly, or there might be another typhoon. At the moment, all we can do is prepare for whatever is about to happen."
After speaking, he looked at Yao Ran and said, "Let's distribute the supplies first."
"Mhm."
After the supplies were distributed, several splashing sounds were heard outside. Not long after, Shi Xuan, Jia Xiang, and Huang Qian came back.
"How is it? Have you found out who the mastermind behind this attack is?" Long Yu asked calmly.
Shi Xuan shook his head and reported, "Those people don't know the real boss behind them. They were all hired for tonight's mission and didn't know the real motive of this attack. They all thought they were just here to grab supplies, and their supervisor promised to give them 20% of tonight's harvest as a reward."
Jia Xiang thought for a while and said, "These people should be from an organized gang." When she finished speaking, the atmosphere became gloomy.
Organized gangs are difficult to deal with, and they have weapons. If these people really target the 20th floor, then Long Yu and the others need to be prepared for a bloody battle.
After a long silence, Long Yu said, "It doesn't matter. Since they sent people to kill us tonight, they will send people again. We just need to be more careful until we find the real enemy." After discussing for a while, they returned to their apartment with their supplies. Yao Ran returned to her apartment, took out a bulletproof glass, and walked out.
When she saw Long Yu holding the toolbox, she said, "I have extra window glass here."
Long Yu looked at the thick bulletproof glass, calmly put down the ordinary glass, and then took the bulletproof glass from Yao Ran. After replacing the windows, they say their goodbyes and return to their apartment.
Yao Ran locked the three metal doors and put away the supplies into the space. She took a quick shower and then went back to sleep. She had just fallen asleep when she was awakened by the noise and desperate cries coming from downstairs.
Such things happen frequently these days. Yao Ran covered herself with a quilt and fell asleep again. She slept until she woke up naturally.
After brushing her teeth and washing her face, Yao Ran ate two bean-paste buns, two scallion pancakes, and a cup of hot milk.
The weather was terrible, and the temperature was getting colder every day. The plants she planted had turned yellow, so Yao Ran diluted some nutrient solution and poured it on the plants in an attempt to replenish the minerals in the soil and save them.
After pouring some nutrients into the soil, Yao Ran used her wood element energy to give the plants some vitality. The initially yellowed leaves slowly turned green, but the plants still looked slightly wilted and unhealthy.
Yao Ran thought for a while, took out a bucket of lake water, and watered the plants. Since her wood element energy couldn't completely rejuvenate the plants, she might as well try the lake water. Maybe the lake water has other functions besides healing and replenishing energy. If her lake water can revive these plants, humanity may be able to grow food in the future. She's not a holy mother who wants to save the world, but she can't live alone. As long as her interests are not disturbed by others, Yao Ran does not mind making a little contribution to her country and humankind.
After tending to the plants on the balcony, Yao Ran went to check the plants in the two planting rooms.
Seeing that they were in the same condition as the plants on the balcony, she gave them some nutrient solution, watered them with lake water, and then healed them with her wood element energy. She kept working until her wood element energy was exhausted.
Back in the living room, Yao Ran took out an extra-large empty bucket and used her water element energy to create water.
After filling the bucket, she took another extra large bucket from the space. By the time her water element energy was exhausted, Yao Ran had filled four extra-large buckets.
Looking at the clear water in the buckets, Yao Ran felt happy.
Her water element ability has improved by leaps and bounds since the the time she was reborn. Where before she could only produce a small bucket of water, she can now produce four extra-large buckets of water.
Whenever her energy is used up, she just needs to drink some lake water and rest for a while, and then the energy will be replenished again. As long as she keeps repeating the training every day, she might be able to produce enough water for her daily use when extreme heat
hits the world.
Yao Ran waved her hand and sent four large buckets filled with water into the space. After drinking the pre-boiled lake water, she began to meditate to restore her wood and water elements abilities.
Just when she closed her eyes, there was a knock on the door. She opened her eyes and walked over to open the door.
Seeing Huang Zhihui and Deng Qiqi's faces covered with bruises, Yao Ran asked in surprise, "What happened to you two?"n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
