Chapter 215: Homemade Disinfectant

Hearing Huang Qian's question, the others exchanged glances and fell silent. Their eyes were filled with curiosity and confusion.

Back at her apartment, Yao Ran drank her bowl of medicine and waited for Long Yu. When he returned, she took him to her space.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Appearing inside the small villa, Yao Ran said, "Feel free to pick a bathroom. I will be using the one on the third floor, so that floor is off-limits."

After saying that, she hurriedly went upstairs. Long Yu watched her climb the stairs and chuckled. Taking her hint, he looked around the first floor and chose a guest room.

Yao Ran stayed on the third floor for six hours before coming out, freshly bathed. When Long Yu came out from the guest room, he also had just finished bathing.

Noticing his damp clothes, Yao Ran fetched a set of summer clothes and a set of constant- temperature clothing from her storage and said, "Here, change into these."

Long Yu took the clothes and obediently changed out of his wet ones. When he came out from the guest room, he placed his dirty clothes in the laundry basket.

Walking into the kitchen, he commented, "Ran Ran, these constant-temperature clothes are amazing. Although they can't keep the temperature at 25°C if it's over 50°C outside, they can still lower the temperature by about 15°C. Living at 45°C instead of 60°C will be much more comfortable."

Listening to what he said, Yao Ran asked, "Should we give some to Shi Xuan and the others?" Long Yu raised his eyebrows slightly at her, "Are you sure?"

Yao Ran handed him a cup of lake water and nodded, "Yes. But I don't know what to tell them if they ask where the clothes came from."

"Leave it to me. Just give me the clothes, and I will handle the rest." Long Yu assured her, then drank the water.

Since he had said that, Yao Ran took out ten sets of constant-temperature clothing from her warehouse and placed them on the dining table.

"Give two sets to each person so they will have a spare." She said.

Long Yu nodded, looked at the pot on the stove, then asked, "What are you cooking?"

"I made some medicinal dishes to replenish the body. Let's bring them and eat them together with the others later." Yao Ran replied as she stirred the pot of soup.

They stayed in the space for another hour before leaving, carrying the food containers to visit their friends. After waiting for a while, someone finally opened the door.

Seeing Huang Qian's pale face, Yao Ran asked, "Are you alright?"

Huang Qian walked back inside, replying weakly, "I'm fine."

Watching his unsteady steps, Long Yu whispered to Yao Ran, "Was the dose you gave him stronger than mine?"

Yao Ran rolled her eyes at him and replied, "You saw me pour the medicine. It's the same for everyone."

"Then why is A Qian like that?" Long Yu asked, concerned.

Yao Ran thought for a moment and explained, "He might already be infected with parasites, so drinking the medicine caused him more discomfort and pain."

Long Yu's expression changed, and he asked worriedly, "Will he be alright?"

Yao Ran nodded, "Yes. I've been secretly giving him and the others lake water to strengthen their body and immunity. As long as the parasites are expelled, they will recover tomorrow."

While they were whispering with each other, Shi Xuan came out of the kitchen. Seeing them coming, he smiled and said, "Perfect timing, you two. I just finished making dinner. Let's eat together."

Long Yu felt relieved since Huang Qian and Huang Zhihui looked only slightly weak while the others were fine. He placed the food containers on the low table, sat down on the carpeted floor, and opened them.

"Ran Ran made some medicinal dishes to help restore our strength."

Hearing that Yao Ran had made something for them, Huang Qian regained his energy and quickly sat down around the low table.

After Shi Xuan handed out bowls and chopsticks, the seven of them started eating. After dinner, Long Yu and Yao Ran went home so the others could rest.

The next morning, Long Yu brought the constant-temperature clothes to Shi Xuan. Seeing the clothes, Shi Xuan was silent for a long time before smiling and said, "I will have to thank Yao Ran later."

Although he had suspicions, Shi Xuan chose not to ask or investigate. He didn't care about Yao Ran's background. As long as she treated Long Yu sincerely, he would welcome her as part of their family.

Long Yu looked out through the balcony and slightly squinted his eyes because of the bright sunlight. After a moment of silence, he said, "It's too hot to go out during the day. Let's go find Ling Yi tonight."

Shi Xuan agreed, and then Long Yu went to find Yao Ran for their daily training.

That night, Yao Ran glanced at the thermometer in her living room. Seeing it read 62 degrees Celsius, her eyes filled with worry. Compared with the previous life, the extreme heat in this life came faster and hotter.

Standing on the balcony, she watched as Long Yu and Shi Xuan set off in a motorboat.

They wore protective outer clothing with constant-temperature clothes beneath their summer clothes. Before they left, Yao Ran gave them respiratory masks and small oxygen tubes so they could breathe easier while wearing protective clothing.

She watched until they disappeared before heading to her bedroom. While Long Yu and Shi Xuan were going out to find Ling Yi, Yao Ran decided to make some homemade disinfectant. Although she had plenty of disinfectant in her warehouse, she didn't plan to give it to the soldiers, as doing so could expose the existence of her space.

Distilled white vinegar is a common household condiment and the primary material of her homemade disinfectant. With the right ingredients, anyone could make it.

Even if she handed over a lot of them to the military, there wouldn't be much suspicion.
