Natural Disaster: I Started By Hoarding Tens Of Billions Of Supplies

Chapter 202: Hidden Supplies

Chapter 202: Hidden Supplies

When Long Yu heard Yao Ran's words, he suddenly pulled her over and hugged her tightly. Yao Ran was stunned for a moment, then raised her hand and gently patted his back.

With a smile on her lips, she asked, "What do you think of my idea?"

She waited a few seconds before hearing Long Yu's hoarse voice, "Thank you, Ran Ran."

Yao Ran nodded and asked, "When do you want to do it?"

Long Yu let go of her, thought for a moment, and replied, "It would be dangerous if we sent the supplies directly to the military. They would investigate the source, and it would put you in danger."

He paused for a moment before adding, "Instead of sending the supplies directly to the military, we can use the Crouching Tiger Gang as our cover."

Yao Ran's eyes lit up as she asked, "You mean you want to make it look like the supplies were hidden by the Crouching Tiger Gang?"

Long Yu nodded, "Yes. The military just caught the gang and is still searching for their hidden supplies. It's normal for a large gang like the Crouching Tiger Gang to have several places to store supplies. We can find a secluded area to hide the supplies, and then we can inform the military."

"They might be suspicious at first, but when they see the supplies, they will likely be too busy to care about us. Even if they found out we kept our identities, they would assume we didn't want to get involved in this matter and would not investigate who we were."

After hearing his plan, Yao Ran gave him a thumbs up, "Genius! Let's just do as you said." Long Yu chuckled and asked, "How much are you planning to give them?"

Yao Ran thought for a moment and replied, "Half of what we left in the Crouching Tiger Gang's warehouse. I don't want to give too much at once. Otherwise, they might distribute it to the survivors and overlook the soldiers."

"The ones I want to help are your brothers in the military, not some random strangers. If we give just enough, they will prioritize the soldiers first. They need the soldiers to be strong enough to protect citizens, so they should feed them first."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

After a pause, Yao Ran added, "As for the survivors, I will find another way to help them. We can't support all survivors in Juncheng City alone, so we need to find someone to help us."

Long Yu agreed with her approach and said, "You can help others, but your safety is my priority."

Seeing his serious expression, Yao Ran felt a warm feeling in her heart and smiled. After sharing her plan with him, she took out a map. The two of them looked at the map, decided on a location, and then prepared to leave the apartment.

Before heading out, they informed their friends. When they found out that the two of them wanted to go out, Shi Xuan and the others urged them to be careful.

After the soldiers captured the Crouching Tiger Gang, smaller gangs began fighting among themselves for turf. Currently, things are not as peaceful as they seem outside.

Long Yu and Yao Ran chatted with them for a while, and then they left the Ling Yuan apartment complex under the cover of the night.

They walked for half an hour before finding an unfinished building. The floor was covered in dust and snow, and there were no footprints. It was clear that no one had visited this place for a long time.

With Long Yu guarding outside, Yao Ran began unloading the supplies from her space.

She took food, clothes, quilts, heat packs, jackets, snow boots, and even weapons and ammunition and stacked them neatly on the empty building. When she was done, she covered the supplies with oilcloth.

Long Yu saw her emerge and asked, "Are you done?"

Yao Ran nodded, "Let's go."

They left the abandoned building and made their way to the trading center. This was their first time visiting at night. The usually bustling place was quiet, with no one setting up stalls. Spotting only a few soldiers on guard, Yao Ran glanced around and recognized a familiar face. She tugged on Long Yu's sleeve and pointed at the soldier, "Long Yu, can you give the note to that soldier?"

Long Yu followed her line of sight and saw the soldier who had spoken with her when they received the relief supplies. He nodded and said, "No problem."

Yao Ran quickly drew a map of the abandoned building and wrote a brief explanation on a piece of paper. She then handed it to Long Yu, who walked up to the soldier. Hiding behind a nearby building, Yao Ran watched as Long Yu spoke with the soldier.

Two minutes later, Long Yu returned and said, "Let's go."

As they walked away, Yao Ran glanced back to see the soldier had already left. She turned to Long Yu and asked, "What did you tell him?"

Long Yu took her hand and replied, "I told him we stumbled upon the supplies while gathering firewood."

Yao Ran smiled and said, "Let's go. We should leave before they come to question you."

After they left, the soldier rushed to Wu Lian's office. Knocking on the door, he said, "Captain Wu, I have something to report."

Sitting behind a desk piled with documents, Wu Lian rubbed his temples tiredly and said, "Come in."

The soldier entered and saluted before handing over the note. He said, "Captain Wu, someone just gave me this. I think you should see it."

Wu Lian put down the document and took the note. After reading it, his eyes brightened. Looking at the soldier, he asked, "Who gave you this note?"

"A man. He was wearing a mask, so I couldn't see his face." The soldier replied.

Wu Lian stood up, put on his jacket, and said, "Thank you. You can go back to your post."

"Yes, sir." The soldier saluted before leaving.
