Chapter 163
163 The Triangle Is Finally Complete
(Jane’s PoV)
Siji had been acting strange lately. Usually, he would always appear in a heart beat whenever I called him. But, he got late these days. He even left me in the middle of my training several times. He didn’t tell me where he went, and I didn’t ask him for fear I might be too demanding.
Well, I am the Master, so it should be okay, right? However, I didn’t want to do that. He only appeared a bit late, it was not like he didn’t appear at all, or that he neglected his duty. I must be an understanding Master so that my men would not think of me as burdensome or annoying.
Today, he left a bit early during my training. Before midday, he returned but he used the front door. I could sense his presence, that was why I didn’t stand up to open the door. He even pushed the door bell, what kind of trick was he playing?
Sanji was the one who stood up and opened the door while all I did was laying on the couch with my head tilted backwards to see the guest. Indeed, I saw Siji in front of the door, but what’s with his face? He looked like he was disappointed with something? Why was he sulking there? Not only Siji, but Sanji had a weird expression on his face, too.
“Why are you here?” Sanji asked. He didn’t sound cold or aloof, just curious.
“I didn’t know you live here.” There was another voice that clearly sounded displeased.
Oh? Siji brought back another person and Sanji knew this person?
“Don’t tell me the one I need to report to is him?” Eh, why did I feel his voice was a bit familiar? I got up into sitting position, still too lazy to go to the door.
.....
“Not him.” Siji answered. Huh? He talked to Siji? He could see Siji? Even Sanji couldn’t see Siji!
“Who are you talking to?” Sanji asked. See? He couldn’t see Siji unless Siji allowed him. I doubted Siji had shown himself to Sanji, though.
“Who’s that?” I asked Sanji before things got more awkward between him and the guest.
Before Sanji could say something, the guest had barged his way into the house and was looking at me with widened eyes from the front door. He looked surprised but also there was longing in his eyes. He was oddly familiar to me but... it couldn’t be him, right?
Or, was he?
No way!
I pushed myself up and half ran towards him. I was not blind, but why did the closer I get to him, the more familiar he was to me? The more familiar I found him to be, the more I couldn’t think of anything other than getting close to him.
But, what if he wasn’t him? I stopped right in front of him as that question invaded my mind. I stood there, staring at him blankly. I wanted to hug him, but what if it wasn’t him?
“Jane!” He pulled me into his arms, hugging me tight I thought I would be crushed in his arms. “I’m back.” His whisper travelled to my ears and all of my doubt disappeared in instant.
I hugged him back, as tight as I could as smile was formed on my face and tears rolled down my tears -Siji said later that it was the stupidest smile he had ever seen in his existence and I really had the urge to strangle his neck after he said that.
The one I was hugging was warm and solid. There were no more transparent body, no more creepy cold body, no more untouchable body. Only these feelings could make me emotional. I was so happy he could return in one piece!
“I thought you forgot about me.” I said between my sobs.
“How could I?” He pushed himself so that he could see me. His warm thumbs were wiping away my tears repeatedly. His smile was still the same when he coaxed me, so gentle and warm.
“Don’t those people who were in comma usually forget about some people or some memory? Especially since both of us only met when you had already been in comma.” I stared at him in confusion.
“Did you stuff your head with those stupid soap operas and dramas when I wasn’t here?” He scolded me, but I didn’t feel any anger in his voice.
I scratched my face awkwardly. It wasn’t to the point that I watched those every day, but at some point I did watch them to relieve some boredom.
Tom shook his head. “Now you see me safe and sound, also I still remember you, you should stop worrying about it.” He kissed my forehead before I could react.
After all this time... and all that skinship we did back then... why did I blush with only a kiss on my forehead?
“Enough.” A pair of strong arms pulled us apart in one go. I turned my head and saw Sanji with dark face and cold eyes. He was closed to emit murderous aura but somehow he held back inside. Pulling me behind his back, he stood between Tom and me.
The gentle expression on Tom’s face disappeared as he frowned in displeasure. “What are you doing?” He growled.
“How do we know you are really Tom? You might an imposter for all we know.” Sanji crossed his arms in front of his chest. He could be super protective when he wanted and needed to be, but why did he choose this time?
Tom smirked and oh, his smirked was still the same, only this time there was a hint of danger in it, probably because the one talking to him was not me, but Sanji. I was one hundred percent sure that he was the real Tom.
“Do you know who I am?” Sanji asked.
“Of course. Sanjaya, the man who claimed to my girlfriend’s fiance.” Tom sneered. “Too bad Jane is mine.”
Ah, how many times should I tell him that I was not a possession? I was not a thing. Even though I liked him saying something like that, still I needed to remind myself that I was a human and not a thing. He couldn’t own me.
“You know about it and you’re still so cocky and came here?” Sanji sneered as he looked at Tom in disdain. “What did you do to have Siji bring you here?”
Eh? He knew about Siji? I turned towards Siji who was still watching quietly while leaning against the door frame.
Siji shrugged but his previous sulking and disappointed expression had gone. Replacing them was an excited expression, as if watching us brought great joy and excitement for him.
“You knew about it?” I asked Siji, accusingly. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Well, I’m enjoying the triangle became complete, of course I wouldn’t spoil it by saying that Sanjaya could see me.” He answered calmly.
“How could you!” I glared at him. “Since when was he was able to see you? I have never seen you interacted with each other before. Also, what triangle are you talking about?” Why did he have to bring up about triangle at this time? Sometimes he would say something unrelated to what we were talking about, but I didn’t think he would do it now.
“Since we came to see him that day.” Siji still answered my question calmly. “Also, the triangle is...” He gestured at Sanji, Tom, and me.
I felt lost.
