MY SUGAR MUMMY IS A BEAUTIFUL VAMPIRE

Chapter 300: She's yours

Dr. Martina seemed to sense the torment roiling beneath Blake's outwardly controlled exterior. "Blake...what happened to you? How did you end up like this?" She reached out a trembling hand as if to touch his face.

Moving with preternatural speed, Blake trapped her wrist in an unforgiving grip before she could make contact. His eyes blazed with an unholy light and his lips peeled back in a terrifying snarl, revealing his elongated fangs.

"Don't try anything, doctor," he ground out in a guttural tone. "I'm feeling generous for the moment since you were somewhat helpful. But that can change very quickly if you make one wrong move."

Tears streamed down Dr. Martina's face anew at the unmistakable threat in Blake's demonic-seeming visage. She began babbling frantically, seemingly incoherent pleas tumbling from her lips.

"Please...please, you have to understand...I didn't mean any har-"

Blake's voice was strained as he probed Martina for answers. "Why were you dismissed? And why did Damien move Rose to another room?"

Martina's gaze flickered with remorse as she admitted, "Damien caught me trying to elope with the baby earlier."

Blake's eyebrows shot up in incredulity. "What baby? Whose baby?" His voice was tinged with urgency and confusion.

Martina shook her head, her voice barely a whisper. "Rose's baby."

As Blake turned away, a torrent of emotions swirled within him. What was this doctor blabbering about. "Rose's baby?!!" That made no sense! Since when was Rose pregnant? Could it have happened when he was kidnapped? Did she give in to Damien?

That couldn't happen, right? His head began to pound, unsure of what to think.

'They now live together and it appears he is caring for her, could it be they...'Blake could scarcely finish the thought. The Rose he left for jail wasn't pregnant right? Right?!!!!

Meanwhile, Martina who was being backed by Blake couldn't help but notice the profound transformation he had undergone. The Blake she once knew seemed like a distant memory, replaced by a figure shrouded in mystery and power.

Martina, herself being a vampire, recognized the signs of metamorphosis in Blake. He radiated an aura of strength that surpassed anything she previously saw in him. He was no longer the unassuming secretary she had treated months ago; he had evolved into something altogether different.

Observing him closely, using her natural enhanced sense of smell compared to humans, Martina couldn't ignore the unfamiliar scent that clung to Blake, a potent blend of vampire essence tinged with something indefinable yet undeniably compelling.

When Blake faced her once more, his eyes ablaze with intensity, Martina braced herself for what was to come as he appeared volatile to say the least.

"Whose baby?" he demanded again, his voice tinged with urgency and desperation. The rage she saw earlier was now replaced with something akin to desperation and incredulity.

Martina hesitated momentarily, her mind racing with the weight of her response. "Rose's child," she replied softly. What was he so bothered about?

Hearing what she said, she looked at him and he appeared to be virtually breaking down, as he began to murmur words to himself while backing her once more.

He tried to think back. Perhaps he was missing something, something vital along the way. The memory haunted Blake's mind like a persistent specter, replaying the conversations he had eavesdropped on between the Knights. He strained to recall any mention of a baby, but the fragments of those discussions remained stubbornly silent on the matter. How could he have missed something so significant?

"Rose's baby? What baby?" Blake's voice quivered with disbelief as he struggled to reconcile Martina's revelation with his memories. Reggie hadn't uttered a single word about a child. Had he been so consumed by his own determination to rescue Rose that he overlooked crucial details in their argument?

Nana hadn't done much good in bringing him up to speed earlier as she basically stumbled over her words when Blake asked her about the Knight's plans. Due to the terror, she had completely forgotten to mention that part.

Confusion swirled within him like a maelstrom, each thought crashing against the next in a tumultuous storm of uncertainty. It made no sense. None of it made any sense. How could Rose have a baby? And why had he not heard anything about it until now?

With a primal ferocity, Blake seized Martina by the neck, his grip like iron as he lifted her off her feet, his voice a growling command laced with desperation. "Don't you dare lie to me," he snarled, his eyes blazing with an intensity born of frustration and fear.

Once more, he demanded answers, his gaze boring into Martina's, searching for any hint of deception amidst the turmoil that roiled within him. "Whose baby is it?" he demanded, his voice a raw plea for truth in a world gone mad.

"I'm not lying, it's Rose's child," she affirmed, her voice a fragile thread of honesty amidst the chaos that surrounded them. "I helped deliver the child."

Blake's heart hammered in his chest as he stared into Martina's eyes, his senses heightened as he strained to discern any trace of falsehood in her gaze. But there was nothing, only the echo of his own racing pulse as he grappled with the enormity of what she had revealed.

"When did she give birth?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper as he struggled to comprehend the gravity of the situation.

"It has been about seven days," she confessed, her words a solemn revelation that hung heavy in the air between them.

Suddenly, in that moment, realization struck Blake with the force of a thunderbolt, illuminating the dark recesses of his mind with blinding clarity. It was the same day he had perished and been reborn as a vampire... barely a week ago.

As Martina choked in his grip, a sudden understanding dawned in her eyes. She had been answering the wrong question. How foolish she had been not to lead with the most crucial information.

With trembling lips, she said..."Rose...she did tell me something when she first found out,"

"What?!" Blake asked, shaking her in his grip.

"The baby," she whispered, her voice barely audible above the tumult of their surroundings. "She's yours,".
