MY SUGAR MUMMY IS A BEAUTIFUL VAMPIRE

Chapter 293: Blake cannot be stopped

Reggie's eyes flashed with an eerie intensity as he stared at Blake, his expression unreadable.

With lightning speed, Reggie lunged at Blake, his movements fueled by an unseen force. He seized Blake by the neck and slammed him against the wall with a resounding thud. The force of the impact knocked the breath from Blake's lungs as Reggie delivered a series of precise blows to his throat and back, rendering him unconscious.

As Blake slumped to the ground, Reggie stood over him, his chest heaving with exertion. He shook his head, a pang of remorse flickering in his eyes as he surveyed the unconscious form of his comrade.

"I'm sorry, Blake," Reggie murmured, his voice laced with regret. "But this is the only way."

Gunther and Randal exchanged bewildered glances, struggling to comprehend Reggie's actions. "What... what did you do, Reggie?" Gunther asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.

Reggie sighed heavily, his shoulders sagging with the weight of his decision. "I had to incapacitate Blake temporarily. It was the only way to ensure that he wouldn't interfere with our mission to save Rose."

Gunther and Randal exchanged bewildered glances, uncertain of what to do or say. They had never seen Reggie act with such aggression before, especially toward one of their own.Reggie turned to them, his eyes troubled but resolute. "We have to stick to the plan," he said firmly. "No matter what."

Randal's brow furrowed in concern. "But knocking him out like that... Was that really necessary?"

Reggie met their gazes with a solemn nod. "I wish there had been another way, but time is of the essence. We have to act quickly if we're going to have any chance of carrying out Rose's plans,"

With a heavy heart, Reggie gestured for Gunther and Randal to help him carry Blake's unconscious form. "We need to move swiftly,"

Gunther hoisted Blake's unconscious form onto his shoulder, carrying him carefully to another room, while Reggie and Randal walked off in a different direction of the house.

Later on, Gunther returned to find his brothers dressing up. There was no point in waiting for daytime; nighttime was when they were most at their element anyway.

Now that they were all ready to go, just outside by the sports car, Reggie stopped, his hands on the trunk of the car.

Randal couldn't help but notice Reggie's pause. "Are you forgetting something?" he asked, his brow furrowed with concern.

Reggie remained silent for a moment before finally speaking. "No," he replied tersely.

He instructed them to warm up the car as he went inside. Moments later, Reggie emerged with another person by his side, leaving Gunther and Randal bewildered by the unexpected addition.

Gunther couldn't contain his concern. "I hope you're not planning to bring her along," he remarked, his tone laced with worry.

"Reggie, I don't understand," Randal began, his voice filled with uncertainty. "Why are we bringing her along? I mean no disrespect but she's significantly weaker than Blake, and you wouldn't even let Blake participate in the mission."

His words hung in the air, waiting for Reggie's response, but Reggie remained silent, his expression unreadable. Randal exchanged a worried glance with Gunther.

Reggie simply gestured for them to get in the car without offering an explanation. His demeanor made it clear that he was in no mood for further discussion.

With a sense of unease settling over them, Gunther and Randal complied, knowing better than to challenge Reggie's decisions when he was in such a sour mood. They could only speculate about his intentions as they drove off into the night.

After an hour of driving, the car came to a stop outside a nondescript house, its windows darkened against the night. Gunther glanced around, furrowing his brow. "Why are we at another safehouse?" he asked, voicing the question that hung heavy in the air.

Reggie sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I want Nana to stay here," he explained, his tone somber.

"Why?" Randal's voice held a hint of confusion.

Reggie turned to face his brothers, weariness etched on his features. "Think about it," he began, his voice strained. "When Blake wakes up and sees Nana, who's to say what he'll do? And she'll be defenseless against him."

Gunther's eyes widened in horror. "You think Blake is capable of hurting her?"

Reggie nodded grimly. "We've seen what he's capable of," he replied, his voice heavy with certainty. "Remember what happened earlier? He couldn't control his powers, and Nana was at his mercy."

Gunther's expression darkened, understanding dawning on him. "So, you're saying we leave Nana here to keep her safe from Blake?"

Reggie nodded, his jaw tight with resolve. "It's the safest option we have right now," he affirmed. "We can't afford to take any chances with her safety."

Randal exchanged a troubled glance with Gunther, the weight of Reggie's decision settling heavily upon them. With a heavy heart, they accepted the necessity of leaving Nana behind, knowing it was the only way to protect her from the unpredictable danger that Blake posed.

Meanwhile somewhere off not too far from the safehouse, a young girl stirred from her sleep, her senses alert to the unfamiliar sound echoing outside her window. With a furrowed brow, she rose from her bed, her heart pounding in her chest as she approached the window cautiously.

Peering out into the darkness, her eyes widened in shock at the sight of a figure with glowing red eyes staring back at her. Before she could react, the figure vanished, leaving her bewildered and trembling.

Meanwhile, Blake moved swiftly across the rooftops, his senses heightened as he tracked his path with precision. "Reggie had the guts to try to knock me out and tie me up with a chain," he muttered under his breath, his voice tinged with unbridled rage. He sniffed the air, locking in on a particular scent he had been tracking all the way from the safehouse he was left supposedly unconscious.

"But they've grossly underestimated what I can do. Whether they like it or not, I'm coming to rescue Rose."

With agile grace, he leaped from one building to the next, his movements fluid and swift like a wisp darting through the night. Determined to reach his destination, Blake pushed forward, his resolve unshakable as he raced toward his goal.

*Author's note**

Tough period for me as I have exams and a few would probably know what that entails in med school.

I could use a little motivation with gifts to boost my earnings so I can support my schooling.

Anything you have in mind would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
