MY SUGAR MUMMY IS A BEAUTIFUL VAMPIRE

Chapter 264: Vengeance is on his mind

"I understand your concerns, Reggie," Blake finally spoke, his voice low and measured. "But Elena needs to be stopped, no matter the cost. She's taken too much from us, too much from me! I won't stand by and let her continue her reign of terror."

Reggie's brows furrowed as he listened to Blake's words, a sense of concern gnawing at him. "Blake, I get it. I do. But we can't just charge in blindly. There's more at stake here than just revenge. We need to think about the bigger picture."

Blake's gaze hardened, his jaw set in determination. "I know what's at stake, Reggie. I know the risks. But Elena needs to be stopped, now."

Nana stepped forward, her voice trembling with uncertainty. "But Blake, what about Duncan Salvador? He's out there, and he's just as dangerous, if not more so, than Elena. We can't ignore that."

Blake's lips curled into a sardonic smile. "Duncan Salvador may be powerful, but so am I now. I feel... renewed, better than I ever was. I understand now why you and the others were always so confident. There's a rush of power that comes with this...

transformation."

Reggie exchanged a worried glance with Nana, his expression troubled. "Blake, listen to me. There's still so much you need to learn about being a vampire. We don't even know the full extent of your abilities yet. For now, we need to regroup, take things slow. We can't rush headlong into danger without a plan."

Blake opened his mouth to protest, but Reggie raised his hand to silence him.

"Hear me out. Elena is somewhere out there right now, likely plotting her next move, gathering more forces to her demented cause. We cannot stop her alone, not in our current state..."

Reggie looked Blake dead in the eyes, his gaze solemn and pleading.

"We need to carefully plan this out. Together, we can stand a chance against her madness without resorting to...whatever dark path this new form threatens to take you down."

An uneasy tension hung in the air as Blake digested his friend's words. Part of him felt the ferocious vampire urges swirling, demanding unbridled vengeance and justice through sheer force.

But another part, the part still clinging to his humanity and morals, knew Reggie spoke truthfully. They needed a real plan, not just hasty retaliation.

Finally, Blake gave a slow, relenting nod. "Very well. We'll plan out our attack. But make no mistake..." His eyes flared that bloody crimson once more. "One way or another, Elena will face the consequences of her actions. I'll make sure of that."

The grim resolve in his tone was palpable, sending a chill down their spines. Reggie simply nodded soberly, seemingly satisfied to have talked Blake back from the edge, at least for now.

As the group made preparations to seek out these other potential allies against Elena's growing threat, an air of uneasy determination settled over them all.

They knew the path ahead was shadowed, rife with increasingly dark and dangerous confrontations. But Blake's transformation in particular had cast a much more ominous pall over everything.

What were the true extent of these new vampire powers he had obtained? Where might they lead him if left unbridled? These were the silent, lurking questions that weighed heavily on all their minds.

For as much as Blake claimed to still be the same person at his core, they could all sense some infinitesimal shift, some new well of darkness lying dormant within their friend, however faintly. Only time would tell if he could control it, or if it would slowly begin controlling him instead.

As the pale moonlight filtered in through the cavern entrance, it cast Blake's face in ghostly shadows. His crimson eyes seemed to burn even brighter against the silvery rays.

He stood there, jaw set in a look of chilling resolve, making a silent vow to himself. No matter what lay ahead, no matter how much darkness he may have to confront - both outwardly and inwardly - Elena would be made to atone. She would pay the price for her unforgivable transgressions.

One way...or another.

The thought hung ominously in the air, carried on a cold night wind that seemed to whisper a foreboding premonition - that some harrowing, inevitable confrontation with Elena's evil had been irreversibly set into motion.

The die had been cast, and there would be no turning back once the wheels of vengeance began to turn...

As everyone took a moment to rest inside the cave, Nana's gaze remained fixed on Blake as he experimented with his newfound powers. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss, a nagging suspicion that lingered in the back of her mind like a persistent itch.

The others were resting, their bodies weary from the events that had transpired, but Nana couldn't bring herself to relax. There was something about Blake's demeanor that unsettled her, a subtle shift in his aura that she couldn't quite put her finger on.

When Blake had supposedly risen from the dead, the others were unconscious, oblivious to the events that had transpired. But Nana had been watching closely, and she had seen something that made her doubt everything she thought she knew about him.

Nana glanced around cautiously, ensuring no one else was within earshot before scooching over to where Reggie sat by a rock. Leaning in close, she spoke in a hushed tone. "Reggie, I need to talk to you about something."

Reggie nodded, his expression serious as he gave her his full attention.

"I'm not sure, but... do you think there's a chance that the vampire turning ritual doesn't always give the desired results?" Nana's voice was tinged with uncertainty.

Reggie furrowed his brow, considering her words carefully. "What do you mean?"

Nana's gaze drifted to where Blake was experimenting with his newfound powers, a troubled expression clouding her features. "Blake... something doesn't seem right about him."

Reggie followed her gaze, his eyes narrowing as he observed Blake's movements. "What do you mean? He seems fine to me."

Nana shook her head, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't know... it's just a feeling I have. Ever since he came back from the ritual, he's been different. Not just physically, but... there's something off about him."

Reggie's expression grew more serious as he considered Nana's words. "We'll keep an eye on him," he said quietly.
