My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s

Chapter 145

Happy Wednesday!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I was going to post this much earlier, oh well. At least this is earlier than the usual time. In celebration of the holidays, Ill post an extra chapter as my present to you guys. So today, youll be getting two chapters. I hope you enjoy them and I hope you have a great holiday.

Really, Master-dono is harsh on his familiar.

On demons too~.

There was almost no one on the streets at night, and other than a black cat who plodded along the streets and the person following behind it, there was no one else.

When night fell, Uruk was far more peaceful than cities of other countries.

In other cities, the street lights would still be on even at this time, and there would be several people walking around.

In comparison, in Uruk, there was not even a single shop that was open, and there were no street lights either.

However, because of that, the stars could be seen clearly.

Still, I didnt think that Latisneil-sama come along with me.

The Latisneil-sama that I knew, was a princess who was free and unbridled, obeying no one and doing no one any favors.

She had too much freedom and the demon king-sama was at his wits end though.

Day after day, she played pranks on the demon king-sama, and it always inconvenience somebody.

Even that Mahiro, was no match for Latisneil-samas pranks.

Im always searching for something entertaining~. Im just following someone who I think is interesting, and I thought that coming here with you would be fun as well. Your master is particularly interesting. Most likely, he also predicted that I would come along with you, didnt he?

As expected, I dont really understand this person.

I think that its probably because this person and I have never had anything in common.

I dont understand this persons way of life or her thought process.

Latisneil-sama narrowed her purple eyes in amusement and looked around.

Well then, what onii-san requested, is the corroboration of the information, isnt it?

I put away my urge to sigh that I had been restraining and nodded.

Latisneil-samas chattering was somehow exhausting.

Yes. we will expose the crimes of Gram who is the guildmaster of Uruk. More specifically, find something called the strengthening drug that Gram or someone close to him might have created, and determine where they went. thats what he said.

Incidentally, it would be great if we knew that it had been delivered to Retice Castle.

really, youre too harsh on your familiar, Master-dono.

This kind of thing, if Latisneil-sama was not here, I wouldnt be able to do it.

As Latisneil-sama was said, he probably predicted that she would come with me.

Im doing something separately from Master-dono, so thanks to the special skillMagic Concealment, Latisneil-sama, who appeared to be a human at a glance, approached the target, and making use of that opportunity, I infiltrated the room and helped myself to the information. That was the method we had been using to investigate various things.

Even if I was caught, with Latisneil-samasCharmskill, it wouldnt be a problem.

It seems that person herself didnt want to useCharmmuch as the usage made it seem like a robbery, but I would like you to do your best for my Master-dono.

This was how we did it in both Mari and Uruk when we were asked for the corroboration of information.

Perhaps it would be the same for Uruk, but the time when people retired for the night was too early in this country.

There was almost no one that was still awake.

Because Latisneil-sama wasted time loitering everywhere, we were extremely behind schedule, even though we were supposed to have arrived at Uruk before the sun had set.

Like this, wouldnt we be unable to fulfill Master-donos request.

Now then, were going, Yoru-kun.

When I lifted my head at Latisneil-samas words, the person herself had a suspicious look on her face as she looked at Uruks Adventurer Guild building.

Was she planning on doing something.

Are the preparations all set?

um, just what are you.

I thought that Latisneil-sama would wander around to the back of the Adventurer Guild building, but she suddenly grabbed onto the scruff of my neck and lifted me up.

Well then, take care!!

Latisneil-sama said this and then threw me as hard as she could.

Wh, what are you doinggggg!?

I landed on the roof as I was screaming.

Even though it wouldnt be good if we were discovered by other people, I had unconsciously raised my voice, but it was not my fault.

The one who was wrong was the person who threw me without even discussing it with me.

When I looked down, thinking of complaining, Latisneil-sama was looking in another direction and smiling.

What are you.

I turned towards the direction she was looking in, wondering what she was smiling at, and then I gasped in surprise.

You!! What are you doing in a place like this at this kind of time!!!

Just as I was thinking that there were many sources of light approaching, Latisneil-sama was instantly surrounded by soldiers.

Contrary to the grim-faced soldiers, Latisneil-sama smiling frivolously.

Oh, Im a traveler and this is the first time Ive been to this city, but before I could book an inn, everyone was already gone, and so I got lost! I have decided to sleep outdoors today, so soldier-san, can you escort me to the outskirts of town? Or rather, where is this place?

I was astonished by the lies there were smoothly flowing from her kips.

Because she claimed to be a champion of justice, I had never seen her tell a lie until now.

I had even thought that she hated people who lied, and hated lies themselves.

Such a Latisneil-sama was able to solve the problem without fighting with the soldiers, but for her to lie.

This was, a person who would never accept failure.

You, this is the rear of the Adventurer Guild, you know? Isnt this the center of the city, which is far from the outskirts of the city. Besides, were you not told that its dangerous to walk around this city without a guide?

No way!? Really? I, perhaps I have no sense of direction~?

Perhaps this had happened many times before, as the soldiers took Latisneil-sama away in a practiced manner.

When the soldiers were looking elsewhere, Latisneil-sama winked at me.

Shes probably telling me to do it well.

I nodded in response, and slipped inside through the unlocked skylight.
