Chapter 325: Chapter 325: The Cost of Running with Wolves_1

Having made the decision, Ye Qilan called Manager Chen to pick up the person.

Contrarily, the look of anticipation on Su Hongxing’s face irked him, giving him the impression of releasing a tiger back to the wild.

It was only when Su Hongxing saw Ye Qilan’s intense gaze did she realize she had revealed her emotions.

After a moment of consideration, she sincerely said, “Ye Qilan, let’s settle our past feuds right here. You knew about my past from the very beginning, and what I hate most is being the third party, yet you made me become exactly what I detest. I was forced into a corner by you, forced to strike back. You must admit, it was you who forced me, and I merely fought back. Regardless of our past, this should be the end of our disputes.”

When she finished speaking, the door was open.

Fearing Ye Qilan might change his mind, she quickened her steps and rushed forward.

Even after some distance, she could feel Ye Qilan’s gaze fixed on her.

When she turned the corner, completely out of Ye Qilan’s sight, she finally took a sigh of relief.

What she had to do, what she could do, she had done all of it. Now she had to dissuade Beichuan from marrying her.

As soon as Su Hongxing appeared, Liu Qingyin dashed over, pulling her in a circle. “Sis, are you alright? I was so worried.”

Su Hongxing was still unaccustomed to Liu Qingyin’s familiarity.

She subtly avoided Liu Qingyin, who, while arm in arm with her, asked warmly, “Where did you go? Brother-in-law and I couldn’t find you.”

“Nothing, let’s go,” Su Hongxing glanced at Beichuan and said, “Beichuan, once we go back, I have something to discuss with you.”

Beichuan looked deeply at Su Hongxing and said no more.

When they arrived at the villa and dismissed Liu Qingyin, Beichuan asked, “You were taken away by Sisi, weren’t you?”

“I met him and we spoke for a while. Things between us have been cleared up and there won’t be any more entanglements in the future.”

Su Hongxing walked over to Beichuan, “I am very grateful for your love, but I do not want to marry you. In the spirit of our acquaintance, could you let me go?”

Beichuan hesitated for a moment and shook his head, “No. The whole world knows you are my fiancée. If I let you go, where can I find another Su Hongxing to fill the vacancy of my fiancée?”

“But…”

“No buts! You’ve not been well lately, get some rest.” Beichuan didn’t want to hear more and quickly walked away.

When she was out of sight, his face darkened and he called the security team, asking for more guards to keep an eye on Su Hongxing.

He couldn’t let Su Hongxing have a chance to escape before their wedding.

With Beichuan gone, Su Hongxing drooped her shoulders.

This was the price for seeking help from Beichuan, and now, he was the one trapping her.

This was what it meant to keep company with wolves; she had been bitten by her own.

After her bath, Su Hongxing heard a knock at the door and Liu Qingyin walked in.

Liu Qingyin, small in stature with a pillow in her arms, looked like a little girl who had never grown up standing at the door.

“Sis, can I sleep with you?”

Before Su Hongxing could refuse, Liu Qingyin had run over quickly, hopping onto the bed and slipping under the quilt. “I don’t care, I’ll sleep with you tonight!”

Not knowing what to say, Su Hongxing found Liu Qingyin snuggling up close, stars in her eyes, “Sis, I really like you.”

“Sleep,” Su Hongxing didn’t say anything else.

Just as she was about to turn off the bedside lamp, she glimpsed Liu Qingyin’s clothing had ridden up revealing an expanse of fair skin, where there seemed to be…a scar.
