Chapter 1175 To Build a Shop

1175  To Build a Shop

Pak! Pak! Pak!

"What's with all that ruckus…?"

"Who's doing all that hammering so early in the morning…?"

"Hmm…? Someone's… making a building?"

As night eventually turned to day, the people living in Daffors Village began to leave their houses one by one.

However, rather than leave their houses to go through their usual routines in the village, most of the people instead gathered around what was previously an empty plot of land.

Watching the young man in front of them create such a ruckus at such an early time, many of them looked at the young man with frowns on their faces, thinking to themselves that they would've still been in bed if not for the noise he was creating.

Though, as they continued to watch the young man move about through the empty plot of land, the frowns on their faces slowly turned into looks of interest.

Then, as time continued to pass, their expressions eventually turned into disbelief.

"What…?"

"How in the… in just that much time?"

"What class rank has he reached to construct a building that quickly?"

Although he made his way to the plot of land not long after talking to William, Valyr spent a couple of hours bringing out the materials he'd be using for the building, while also thinking about the overall layout and design he'd use for the shop he had in mind.

With that, it was only around an hour or so before the people in the village woke up did he really begin to construct the building in earnest, thinking that he'd only be able to construct a somewhat decent building at best.

However, to his surprise, his skills as a blacksmith actually translated over to the skills he needed to create the building, instilling him with the confidence he needed to fully realize the vision he needed.

And thus, by the time almost everyone in the village had gathered around the plot of land he occupied, Valyr struck the last few blows necessary to put the supports in, finally completing the shop he had in mind.

"Wow…" While he moved to the side to take a short rest from his activities, a few people amongst the crowd decided to enter the shop he built, seeing that the young man in front of them was not rejecting their actions.

With that, they were able to get a closer look at what he was capable of, leaving many among them at a complete loss for words.

After all, even though it was impressive for the young man to construct a building on his own, the question of whether or not the building was sturdy enough still lingered in the people's minds.

Of course, now that they were able to see his handiwork from up close, they began to look at Valyr with a renewed gaze.

"Say… could you perhaps help me with building a house a couple of days from now?" Unsurprisingly, once the people realized Valyr was more than thorough in his work, many of them began to ask for his help, intentionally ignoring the fact that they did not know him.

"Wait a minute…" Though, just like the shock William felt when he arrived at their village, a couple of people among the crowd widened their eyes in immense disbelief as they eventually recognized who he was.

"Is that Ylvar?" n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

At those words, a cascade effect of sorts began to spread throughout the crowd, causing many to look at Valyr with a renewed gaze yet again.

Then again, it couldn't be helped, considering the fact that the feat of killing a Myth while still at a lower rank was just that shocking.

With expressions ranging from excitement to shock, almost everyone in the crowd began to swarm Valyr, wanting to get closer to him for different reasons than before.

Even those who had been kicked early during the first round of the tournament soon came to know of the young man's feats, prompting some of them to try and move closer to him with just as much as fervor as the others.

Fortunately, before the situation could escalate to a point of no return, William appeared in front of everyone.

Whoosh!

Standing beside Valyr, the man looked at everyone with a solemn expression before exuding his aura to the fullest, causing the entire crowd to take a few steps back in response as a show of respect.

Raising his eyebrow at the man's actions, Valyr soon had a faint smile on his face as he had an idea of what the man was trying to do.

With that, he decided to unleash a bit of his own aura as well, immediately enveloping everyone in the crowd, including William, in his presence.

Swoosh!

Of course, it went without saying that everyone in the crowd more or less snapped back to reality after Valyr released a bit of his aura, being reminded that the young man in front of them had more than enough strength to destroy their village alone if he wanted to.

Even William was not exempt from this train of thought, slightly shuddering in fear as he tried his best to make it seem like he was the least affected among them.

Thankfully, the young man had no plans to release his aura for too long, letting out a slight chuckle the moment he retracted his aura.

Then, making use of the opportunity he'd unknowingly given himself, Valyr decided to brief everyone in on the reason why he was in their village in the first place.

Reminding everyone what Scho'doxa told them a couple of days ago, the young man more or less told the entire crowd the same thing he did to William when they first met a few hours earlier.

However, on the part regarding the beings arriving at the village a few days from now, Valyr decided to omit it, instead telling them in a roundabout way that there would be a way to resolve the problems that ailed them in a few days.

After making sure that everyone was on the same page, he then talked about his plans of staying in the village for the meantime, causing many among them to look at him in excitement.

Though, that excitement more or less fizzled out once they heard that he'd be setting up a shop that exclusively sold goods he created.

Then again, the village still had a positive reaction to his plans, considering that they'd gain access to the goods of a blacksmith that had become recognized throughout Veldanyr.

…Even if his abilities as a blacksmith weren't the reason he'd become renowned.

And so, with William continuing where Valyr left off by the time he was done, the entire crowd surrounding the building eventually left to do their own things, prompting the young man to let out a faint sigh of relief the moment they were gone.

"With that taken care of… I guess it's time to move on to Step 3." Briefly glancing at the villagers that spared a glance at his building from time to time, Valyr faintly smiled at them before eventually entering the building himself.

"Time to get to forging."

"Again."
