“Spare us, bro!” The guys from Carefree Regret studio hastily shouted. They were all currently striving to reach level twenty and preparing for the main dungeon, and to die at this point was too hurtful. It would waste a considerable amount of time.

Li Yao put his gun away and said indifferently, “I haven’t had enough fun yet. Killing him now would be such a waste.”

“Damn it, you think your crappy attacks can finish me off in one go? You are so naive,” Carefree Regret said, as he quickly sprung back to his feet, grabbed his great sword, and rushed back at Li Yao. “Don’t think you spared me out of mercy before. Even if you attacked, considering my defense, how much damage could you possibly do?”

“My attack power isn’t high, but it’s enough to finish you off.” Li Yao used Shadow Roll to dodge his Cleaving Strike and said calmly.

“So arrogant! Then, finish me if you can. If you do, I’ll kneel down, and call you grandpa.” Carefree Regret roared in fury, as he unleashed his skills once again.

He was uninterested in dungeon raiding, but when it came to player vs. player battles, he wasn’t one to back down. He was a battle fanatic, often initiating duels in the Carefree Regret studio. Regardless of the opponent’s class, he almost always managed to decisively defeat them.

His track record was impressive. Since the opening of the arena, he had basically stayed there. Had it not been due to today’s requirements, he wouldn’t have come out at all.

He achieved a fifty-eight-win streak in the main arena, giving him the right to be proud and arrogant. After all, aside from Li Yao, who had a hundred consecutive victories, no one else had managed to have a sixty-win streak in the main arena. No matter how powerful he was, he would always encounter a player who could suppress him. Achieving a fifty-eight-win streak was already incredibly impressive.

Li Yao executed another backward leap combined with Shadow Roll to evade his attacks. His actions were fluid and graceful. Carefree Regret could not even touch a thread of his clothing.

“Damn it, can you do anything other than evade?” Carefree Regret unleashed several skills in succession, but they were all wasted as Li Yao slipped away, which left him cursing in frustration.

He had never encountered someone like Li Yao, who he couldn’t touch with any method. Sometimes, his attacks would brush past Li Yao’s clothes.

He saw his attacks hit the opponent but didn’t do any damage, infuriating him further.

As the saying goes, “those in the game are blinded.” Carefree Regret couldn’t see it, but the observers ready to mock Li Yao noticed the significant gap between him and Carefree Regret.

Every time, Carefree Regret thought he was just a little short of hitting Li Yao, believing he could land his attacks next time. However, the reality was that they were poles apart.

“This isn’t possible.”

“He is not human. He managed to dodge all of that.”

“He effortlessly dodged four consecutive times. Who exactly is he?”

“So cool! This is truly masterful. It’s a pity we can’t record this to make the top ten highlights of the week.”

“I don’t believe it. Rebirth from Fire!” Carefree Regret’s body suddenly burst into flames, his health dropped to zero before quickly refilling to full.

“You’ve used up your moves. Now it’s my turn.” Li Yao casually raised his hand and pulled the trigger.

Bang…

“Bullets are useless against me…”

Thud…

Carefree Regret’s voice came to a sudden stop. He looked at Li Yao with a dazed expression.

The spectators also stared in shock. They saw Carefree Regret raise his two-handed great sword when Li Yao fired his shot.

His defensive action was flawless and well-timed, accurately blocking Li Yao’s bullet.

This defensive move used quite frequently by warriors was typically very effective. Some say that plate-armor classes, like warriors, were the nemesis of ranged hunters. This was logical, as a warrior’s plate armor could nullify a large portion of the damage from arrows.

Most importantly, if arrows were blocked by a great sword, it would hardly cause any damage.

But now, they saw that even though the bullet had hit the two-handed great sword, it wasn’t deflected. Instead, as if the great sword didn’t exist, the bullet pierced through it and lodged into Carefree Regret’s throat.

Their eyes widened as they saw Carefree Regret’s health drop instantly to zero, and he fell to the ground with a thud.

“My bullets aren’t that powerful, barely enough to finish you off.” Li Yao put away his gun, clapped his hands and said, “Fortune does favor you, Carefree Regret’s best players. As it turns out, you all have some skills.”

The members of Carefree Regret Studio nearly choked on their blood in anger. Li Yao had just been toying with them, easily defeating their top player, and now he was delivering such compliments. Regardless of the interpretation, it tasted like sarcasm.

The group’s healer instantly performed healing magic on Carefree Regret, and Li Yao didn’t interfere. “Can I go now?” he asked.

“Who are you exactly?” Carefree Regret stared hard at Li Yao.
