Chapter 171 Thunder Knight Trial
"It was a pleasure meeting with you," Alex said, offering the fat man handshake.
"Sir, I was hoping we could have a small conversation because I want to tell you about my plan for the business and some other secrets that could benefit you," Yanric said with a smile.
"Yanric, Let's do it some other time," Alex replied, not entertaining the thought of spending any more time than he already had.
"I was also hoping I could clear the situation that happened in the past, and if you want to hold me accountable for that, then I am willing to take full responsibility for my actions," Yanric said, seeing Alex ready to walk away.
"Your father explained the situation to me, and I have nothing against you for doing what you did, and if you wanted, things could have gone terribly wrong for me, but they didn't because you didn't have evil intentions."
"So don't worry about the things that happened in the past, as no harm was done," Alex said, knowing what Yanric was worried about.
Alex understood that before becoming the Ruler, he was not in an ideal situation that could or could not have gone the wrong path, but luckily for him, everything worked out great, and he was happy with it.
Yanric stood in silence while Alex left the area as he had to prepare a few things before leaving for the Gladiator Arena.
------------------------
'This city has quite a fitting name for its location.' Alex thought as he walked toward a city in the distance.
Alex was currently in the Valley of Thunder, and his destination was the main city of the Thunder Knight's Order, named (Galvan) and the purpose for coming here was to join the Order using a fake persona.
'Elder Darion has some really helpful abilities.' Alex thought, remembering how easily he got himself a custom-made new avatar.
Elder Darion used blood-related skills to create an individual who looked and acted alive even though he was a mere puppet with no real life.
Alex recorded the puppet's appearance, physique, and voice using the Daunting Reality mask skill and then transformed into his new avatar.
Alex's new avatar physique was no different from his original, as it was tailored by Elder Darion to match perfectly to pose any problems for him because he would be using this avatar to fight and train for quite some time.
Alex's avatar appearance was vastly different from before, as he now had cold mystic gray eyes with a gray mark in the shape of a half-moon around his right eye.
'I hope this Saber is a ticket to join the Thunder Knight's Order because if it's not, then I will need to think of something else.' Alex thought as he approached closer to the city gate.
"Adventurer, The examination for candidate selection is still three months away, and we don't have hotels in our city where you can stay, so leave while I ask you nicely." The knight standing outside the main gate said while Alex was still close to two hundred feet away.
Alex kept walking, but he knew better than to ignore the warning of someone related to the Thunder Knights, so after reaching close to a hundred feet, he stopped and took out the legendary Sabre from his inventory.
"I have this Thunder Knight's Order token of entry," Alex said as he raised the sabre and waited for a response.
The man looked toward Alex with a curious gaze before vanishing from his place and appearing right in front of him with the Sabre in his hand.
"This is a fine Sabre you have here, and it is indeed a Thunder Knight's Order token of entry, but you are probably uninformed about its value and use."
"This Sabre could only give you the qualification to take the trail, and if you pass, you could join the Thunder Knight's Order as an official member, with your Rank in the order being directly elevated to the Captain." The knight said.
The Ranks of the Thunder Knights Order were the same as the military and [Knight, Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Colonel, Brigadier General, Major General, and the High Elders].
eaglesnov?1,сoМ 'They are quite generous, but let's hear the twist before I get happy.' Alex thought, seeing the man having a broad smile on his face.
"These were benefits if you pass the trial, but if you fail, you will lose the Sabre because we didn't give this sabre to you."
"You can keep the Sabre as it is rightfully yours, but that means you can't take the trail and join the Order." The knight said with a smile.
"I will be waiting at my previous position, and after you have decided, you could tell me or leave and keep at least fifty feet of distance from the city, or the raging thunder you see in the clouds will turn you into dust." The knight said as he handed Alex the sabre.
'An elemental array of such size and destructive power would cost the Thunder Knights a fortune to keep it active, but according to history, the array has been active for the last four decades.' Alex thought, looking up at the sky covered in thick clouds raging with thunder.
"Sir, I am willing to take the trial," Alex said as he accepted the sabre.
"You sure about your decision? I am not joking when I say you would lose this legendary Sabre if you failed the trial."
"If you think you would get an easy trial because of the entry token, then you are severely mistaken because the trial would be a few times harder than the normal trial." The knight said in a serious tone.
'There would be many incompetent Thunder knights roaming the world if the Order started accepting warriors by bending their standards.' Alex thought, not even a bit surprised that his trial would be more challenging than usual.
"I will take the trial," Alex replied with a straight face.
"What is your Name?" The knight said with a grin.
"Aeon"
"Aeon, keep this badge on you and follow me closely." The knight said as he handed Alex a small plain white badge.

(Twenty Minutes Later.)
'I expected them to test my strength, but this is quite unexpected,' Alex thought as he silently looked at the two men and a woman standing a few feet away.
The Knight guard, who introduced himself as a Rurvan, led him through the city into one of the buildings, and after telling the receptionist something, he led him to a giant empty room.
After waiting a few minutes in silence, four three individuals entered the room, and with a single glance, Alex knew what was about to happen.
"Aeon, these three youngsters here are official members of the Thunder Knight, each being a respected Lieutenant."
"You need to fight against them to complete the first phase of your trial, but you are not expected to defeat them."
"You just need to survive against them for as long as possible, and if you can survive for one or more minutes, you will pass the trial with obviously better results giving you a better evaluation, so aim to achieve the best possible results," Rurvan said.
'I expected such a limit because it would be too harsh for even a great warrior at the peak third Rank to go against three of the same level opponents trained in one of the prestigious Orders known for their battle prowess.' Alex thought.
"You have any questions?" Rurvan asked, seeing Alex silently standing like a statue.
"How many phases does the trial have, and do I get something special for better evaluation?" Alex asked just out of curiosity.
"You must have some delusional confidence in your ability to think you can survive against us for more than a minute." The man with blue hair and eyes said with a chuckle hearing Alex's question.
Alex looked toward the man and didn't give any reply and then looked back toward Rurvan to get the answer to his inquiry.
"It would depend on your performance, and yes, you will get something special, but to know about it, you need to show the results," Rurvan said with a slight smirk.
"Colonel, it's about time we start the trial." The female said as she coldly stared at Alex.
"Aeon, Your time will start after you make your first move," Rurvan said and vanished from his place at appeared in the corner of the room.
"Mr, Silent, I will fight you alone, and these two would not lay a hand on you, so don't worry about them." The blue hair guy said with a broad smile, and confirming his words, the two individuals by his side walked to the side.
"You don't need to worry about your trial because I would get punished if you pass the trial, but that is a very big if." The blue hair guy said.
'I hate these self-centered pricks, but it is also fun to crush them like bugs.' Alex thought with a broad smile.
