Chapter 165 Ending The Battle
'If he could use the Avatar of Cannibalism skill, what about the other broken skills?' Alex thought, looking at Abe, whose body was in the process of transformation, and with every second, it was increasing in size.
The Avatar of Cannibalism was a unique skill of the Beast Monarch legacy holder, and even though Alex knew very little about it but what he knew was enough for him to take it very seriously, even with his current boosted strength.
The Avatar of Cannibalism allowed the user to take selective things from a cannibalized creature and create an avatar using them, which the user can transform into at will.
In simple terms, the skill allowed its user to create a custom avatar that could be modified to the user's taste, and as far as Alex knew, the strength boost alone from the avatar broke common sense.
'Let's just hope his Avatar of Cannibalism is nothing like what I remember because if it is, then I am dead.' Alex thought after remembering some scary old memories.
In Alex's previous, he had seen the Player who had consumed four of the Beast Monarch Hearts use the Avatar of Cannibalism skill and go on a rampage against an army of Devourer Beasts, and that sight was spectacular and also scary.
'Let's hope for the best.' Alex thought as he took a high-quality Mana potion and drank it while keeping his eyes on the monstrosity before him.
"GROOARRRRRR"
'I completely forgot about you guys.' Alex thought, looking at the guard charging toward him.
'Let's finish them while the Boss completes his transformation.' Alex thought as he relaxed his grip on his sword and sprinted toward the charging creature.
Alex didn't bother to attack the Boss because there was a thin mana barrier around him, and from his past life memories, he knew he couldn't break it even with his strongest attack.
Alex had a massive stat and skill advantage over the guards, and without hindrance from the boss, he chopped their bodies like vegetables, and after forty seconds, he was done killing all the remaining guards.
'The transformation looks to be complete.' Alex thought, looking at the giant creature that he couldn't identify.
The Boss was transformed into a completely different creature with giant twenty feet muscular body that looked like it belonged to some lizard creature as it was covered in green scales while his head was that of an eagle.
The Boss had four massive muscular legs belonging to a lion, his back was covered in fluffy gray feathers, and every part of his body blended perfectly together, making him look more natural and less like an abnormal monstrosity.
'He has higher strength and stamina than me, but I have better agility, so things should balance out, but his HP would pose a slight problem.' Alex thought, checking the new stats of the Boss.
The Boss had the staggering health of 21 Million at his base, and now, after the transformation, his health was boosted to the ridiculous height of 37 Million.
After the transformation, the Boss was still in the boundaries of fourth Rank even though his stats were Boosted significant and now rivaled Alex's stats, which were all at the 10K cap or above.
'I have seven minutes left before I lose the boost from the Rage Embodiment, and the Boss had 24 million health left.' Alex thought as he planned how he wanted to handle the situation.
After a few seconds, the barrier around the boss broke, making him land on the ground with a solid impact.
The Boss locked eyes with Alex and roared using his newly acquired skill Grav Roar, releasing a shock wave of gravity that Alex easily defended against with a swing of the sword.
"RRROOOOOOOAAAARRRRRRRR"
'Minor Null Energy.' Alex mumbled to activate the skill while keeping eye contact with the piercing gaze of the eagle.
Alex decided that if he wanted to end this battle before seven minutes ended, he needed to fight head-on even though it was not a wise decision as the Boss still had access to his gravity-related skills, but he had no other option.
Alex dropped all his thoughts and sprinted forward, and the Boss did the same, and an instant later, the sword met with the giant brute claws like a thunderclap.
The sword faced some resistance before cutting the Boss' claw wide open, but Alex didn't continue with his attack and stepped back to avoid the second claw and stepped to the side to avoid the beak attack.
Alex kept his focus and used his mana sense and mana step together to monitor every movement of the Boss and react to them with minimal effort while slashing his sword at every opportunity he got.
Alex kept slashing while weaving through the boss's attacks doing tremendous damage in the shortest possible period while keeping his guard up for any restricting gravity skill.
The battle was going smoothly as in fifty seconds, Alex received no damage, and the Boss lost close to 2.8 Million of his health, but the Boss had no real injuries, and the ones he received were healing at a visible rate.
"BOOOM"
Alex felt resistance moving his body and knew it was a gravity lock skill, so he focused on avoiding and defending against the incoming barrage of attacks while he stepped back to create distance.
Alex sensed an incoming attack from his mana sense, but before he could react, he got smashed by something head-on and was sent flying back like a bullet, making him crash into the room wall with a solid impact.
"BOOOOMMMM"
'I got careless and lost one-third of my Health from a single attack,' Alex thought as he quickly recovered his footing.
"ROAAAAARRRRR"
'I didn't expect them to so fast.' Alex thought, looking at the Boss, who now had bird-like wings spread wide open on his back.
Alex didn't have any time to waste, so he sprinted toward the Boss, who swung his wings at a quick lighting pace, throwing feathers at him.
Alex avoided the incoming feather and kept sprinting, but the boss didn't stop and kept throwing more and more feathers, forcing Alex to stop and use his sword to defend himself.
'I need to do something to quickly cover the distance.' Alex thought, seeing the Boss stepping back to create distance while sending the barrage of feathers.
Alex used the darkness slash to destroy the incoming feather, instantly jumped into the air, and then used the Air step to shoot toward the boss.
Alex engaged with the Boss in close combat and started chipping away at his health, not giving him any chance to create distance.
In the next four minutes, Alex received minor damage while the Boss' health was down by 7 million, which was good but not enough to kill him in the remaining time.
'It's about time you use the Crimson Gravity beam,' Alex thought, seeing the Boss jump into the air while using the gravity vortex skill on Alex.
The boss suspended himself in the air, opened his beak wide, and instantly, an orb of light crimson energy started forming.
'Let's end this.' Alex thought as he griped his sword with both hands and started pumping mana into it.
Alex closed his eyes and concentrated on controlling the mana to prepare his now strongest attack, and after a few seconds, he opened his eyes with his sword turned to pitch black, oozing with calm darkness.
Alex took the sword over his head, tightened his muscle, took aim, and slashed it with all his strength sending a razer thin slash of pitch darkness toward the boss at a lightening fast pace.
"ROOOAAAARRRRRRRRR"
The Boss was also done with his attack, and with a thundering roar, the dark red orb of energy in his mouth released a condensed beam of energy toward Alex that met with the slash of darkness.
The two attacks met, and there was no loud sound or booming noise at their clash, but at the point of contact, the air became distorted as each attack tried to push forward.
Alex looked up and saw the two attacks fighting for supremacy, but before he could worry, the slash of darkness ripped through the condensed beam of gravity and continued on its path.
Alex watched as the slash of darkness struck the Boss on his scaled chest, and without any resistance, it sliced into his body and continued on its path, cleanly cutting through it and exiting from the other side.
Alex watched with a black look seeing the darkness slash exiting from the back of the Boss, looking less vibrant in color than before but keeping its shape and a moment later struck the wall of the room.
The slash met the wall, and after cutting deep into it, it could no longer keep its shape and crumbled into particles of darkness.
'I didn't know that my attack was this strong.' Alex thought, stunned, looking at the damage number of 14 Million floating in the corner of his eyes.
