Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

"I can't stand you get hurt no matter how used you are to it," Jackson said as he smiled at her.

He could have held his mother's raised hand earlier but he choose not to do it because people might see it as a sign of disrespect since they were in public.

The second reason he did not hold her hand was because he knew that his mum will use that as an excuse to hate Jasmine more.

He would rather get hurt than cause more problems for her.

"Stop smiling like a fool because this isn't funny. I am very upset with you," Jasmine said as she keep touching his face. She did not care about how weirdly people were staring at her.

They could call her a weirdo, flirt or even a shameless woman, she doesn't give a damn about such titles.

"Jacky, have you suddenly gone stupid or is it that you have been bewitched by this...,"

"Mum, be careful of what you call her because she will soon become your daughter-in-law," Jackson said seriously. His words threw Mrs Smith into another fit of rage.

"Do you need me to slap you one more time to bring you back to your senses because I can see that you have completely gone nuts," Mrs Smith said in annoyance. Her anger could be seen in her expression.

"Mum, I have never been saner than this moment...,"

"No you are not in your right senses because I am sure you would not be spewing nonsense if you were sane," Mrs Smith said before she shot Jasmine a murderous glance.

"Never will I allow her to be in a relationship with you. I won't allow that so hear me clearly so you won't think I was joking," Mrs Smith said before she walked away.

"What did she mean by she will never allow you both to be in a relationship? Aren't you both in a relationship now so what was she talking about?" Evelyn asked as she stare at the woman's departing back.

"Ladies I am in no mood to shop anymore so continue without me," Jasmine said but she did not make her unhappiness visible.

"Are you sure? You were so eager to get Jack a necktie...,"

"I am really sorry for backing out at such a time," Jasmine replied just to show that she had already made up her mind.

"If you are acting this way because of the way mum behaved then you don't have to let her words ruin your mood," Jackson said as he raised his hand and touch her face.

"Cat, all the things we previously purchased is inside my car. You know the things I bought for Uncle so be sure to remove them before you send the car back," Jasmine said before she held Catherine's hand and placed the car keys.

She turned to leave with Jackson following her closely.

"She looks very upset despite that she is trying her best to hide her feelings," Evelyn said as she stare at the couple's departing back.

"I am sure she feels so upset because Mrs Smith is someone she thinks highly of. If it was someone else I am sure the harsh words wouldn't have gotten to her," Catherine who knows Jasmine very well said.

"From merely staring at her expression, I am sure that Jack will have a hard time easing her anger," Evelyn said as she continue staring at Jackson and Jasmine now walking on the other floor.

"Let's shop for the necktie and afterwards leave ok," Catherine said before she turned and walked deeper into the mall. Evelyn did not fail to keep up with her.

After they entered his car, Jasmine did not utter a word to him, she just sat there staring into space.

Seeing that she won't even strap her seat belt, Jackson helped her to fasten the seatbelt, in the process he deliberately touched her hand to make her talk but she did not say a word.

It was as if staying quiet was her way of controlling her anger.

After about ten minutes ride Jackson parked his car at a quiet and suitable spot. He turned to give full attention to her afterwards.

"Jasmine, I am sorry you had to get treated badly by my mum. I sincerely apologised on her behalf and I promised to talk to her so this doesn't happen again," Jackson said as he held her hands and place them on his legs.

"You don't have to fight with your mum because of me. It's ok that she is only mad at me, don't get into further trouble with her because of me...,"

"Fighting with her on this is inevitable since we both want different things. Jasmine, there is no way I will compromise my eternal happiness just to make her happy. She is my mum but doing that is just impossible," Jackson stated his stance without beating around the bush.

"Besides you also quarrel with your old man that day because of me so there is nothing wrong with defending you from my mum," Jackson said in a serious tone.

"Also, Jasmine I liked that you held back earlier in the mall but I would like it if you don't endure humiliation for my sake. If she insults you don't hold back just because she is my mum. It will make me very upset and sad if I learn that you got bullied by my mum without fighting back...,"

"But she is the mother of the man I love so how could I act unruly in front of her like I normally do with others?" Jasmine asked in a calm tone.

"Indeed she is my mum but she has no right to insult you. I am the one who stalked and seduced you until you fell in love with me so if she is angry she should come to me and not you. It's just so unfair and I won't accept it," Jackson said firmly.
