CHAPTER 172
"Alright then, I would come and pick you up so we could go pick our outfits for tonight."
"Oh, I am not close honey. I came to meet a friend somewhere."
"Oh! Is that so? Alright you can give me a call when you are done and I would come get you. Just be safe for me okay."
He was tempted to have asked her exactly where she was and know who she was going to meet but he did not want her to feel like he was controlling her when they had not even gotten engaged yet or married.
"Thanks." She ended the call and relaxed back into her seat, trying to calm down her worried heart further.
Somehow hearing a familiar voice had helped her to calm down better than before but she still felt on edge and only wanted to hear that masculine cold voice of Arctic. That would be when she would be okay.
It wasn't even up to three minutes after her call with Xander when her phone rang out again.
Jade pried her eyes opened and checked her phone. It was Xander, a video call from him. Before answering the call, Jade first checked her surroundings and was sure no one suspicious looking was there neither was Arctic before she answered it.
"Hello dear."
"Hey love.'
"What's up?" Jade asked.
"Nothing. I was just missing you and I wanted to see your lovely face as you spoke to me."
"Aaawwn, isn't that just right and lovely. Thanks dear. I hope this had somehow managed to bring down your missing me, levels?"
"Honestly no."
'What?"
"Relax. What it had actually done now was to increase what I felt. All I want right now is to actually steal you through the phone sacreen and have you all to myself."
'Tsk, naughty CEO, it is only a matter of hours and I am partly officially yours. Just calm down. You would have me in your home tonight but no touchie. I do not want to start what I cannot finish."
"Hahhaaa hahhaa…" Hearing her say that about them only got him into a laughing spree. "Quinn… hahaha you are funny, baby."
'Why thank you but I am gods damn saying the fucked up truth."
"Like hell you did not love all I did to you and want more."
"I do want more honestly. I got off just from thinking about what we did, so be proud of yourself. You know just how well to pleasure a lady."
"Happy to please my lady. Although if you want, i can promise you some greater pleasure that next time no matter how much you try, you would always want it to be my hands and mouth pleasuring you and not yours."
"You never fail to miss a chance to show your naughty self, don't you, honey?"
"You bet i won't. Besides, i can only show this self to you now and no one else, sop allow me. Except you want me showing it to someone else," Xander teased.
"I dare you to try. You on the other hand would find out that they are not as pleasing and satisfying than your girlfriend here but then again, I believe you already know that, don't you."
"Tsk, as expected of my tigress. You know i want only you, love."
"I know. I love you honey."
'I love you two baby." No one spoke, they only let their smiles do the talking for them as they admired each other via the phone. "By the way, where are you exactly. The place looks unfamiliar."
"Oh, just somewhere along the East coastal street." As she spoke she turned to the right and noticed that the shop keeper was no longer there again.
"Quinn," Xander called her name but she ignored it still. "Quinn."
Her ears twitched and the hair on her skin began to stand on edge. Something was not right and she knew it.
"Quinn?"
Slowly, Jade stood up from her seat as her eyes dimmed and scanned the area around her.
It was now she noticed clearly what was happening. Most of the people she had earlier seen weren't there again, leaving just a few people who seemed to be minding their business but on a better and closer look, they were watching her.
'Fuck this is a trap.' Jade said in her mind.
Even Xander who wasn't there could already feel his heart begin to race at what could be happening.
"Xander I would call…" Just then as she said those words she noticed someone on top of a building with a sniper in hand, getting ready to shoot at her.
'Shit.'
Quickly she dropped her phone on the table and half covered it with a napkin and stepped out of her chair.
"Quinn?" Xander called again but got no other response.
With her attention divided at what could have possibly gone wrong, Jade did not see when someone emerged from the side of the restaurant and by the time she turned around, he was already too close to her.
Instinctively, she took a step backwards with her focus on him but if he looked carefully, her attention was split in two.
Just around another corner on a rooftop, she spotted another person with a similar gun, ready to take a shot at her.
She was surrounded. How come she never noticed? Her mind had been to preoccupied to even notice before it was too late.
However, rather than fret, Jade smiled at the armed man in front of her. "You have got the wrong person."
"You think? My intel tells me not."
"Tsk, alright come and get me then." Her lips tugged upwards into a mischievous grin.
Even though she was at a disadvantage she still looked like she was the predator and they were indeed the prey.
"My pleasure." The man grinned and before she knew what was happening, three other men rounded a corner and emerged at each sides of her. All of them properly armed.
"Aaahhh!" The three of them raced forward at her and she was ready to attack when suddenly...
WHOOSH!
*BLACKOUT*
