Chapter 423: Chapter 423 - Princess Alora has been expecting you

Broken logged back into Immortal Legacy, his plans already laid out for what he'd do once inside the game. He quickly organized the items he had brought back from Hell and briefly checked the progress report on the city's development.

Freya had assured him that everything was running smoothly, with no new developments- just a continuation of the existing projects. With that confirmation, he moved on to his next agenda.

He intended to visit the Capital City of the Dissidia Kingdom, likely for a few days. Ivana and Elincia would be joining him, as Elincia had her own business in the capital as well. By midday, the group set off on their journey, ready to tackle whatever awaited them in the bustling heart of the kingdom.

They set off in the special carriage from Slumdon Town, a luxurious gold carriage adorned with blue window curtains. It was pulled by a tamed beast, a Lesser Dragon with powerful legs and a nimble gait, resembling a dinosaur but sturdier and more imposing. The creature, at around level 200, was a formidable sight, and an NPC with the BeastMaster class expertly steered the carriage.

This impressive setup was thanks to Jovina's help, allowing Slumdon's official carriage to be pulled by such a formidable and majestic beast.

The carriage now bore Slumdon's newly designed logo-something Broken had personally requested to be changed. He was pleased with the result. The logo featured a hammer and pickaxe crossed in an "X" shape, rendered in gold, enclosed within a circle. It symbolized Slumdon's rich resources, particularly its strong mining community, and foreshadowed its future as a hub for blacksmithing and resource production.

He had thought about adding a Golem element to the logo as well. But, he was the only one capable of creating Golems. While he could easily recruit plenty of miners and blacksmiths to fuel the city's growth. Well, the current logo still captured the essence of Slumdon, so there was no need to change it. It felt fitting just as it was.

The carriage sped smoothly across the desert plains of Slumdon Town. Inside, Broken sat facing the back, while Ivana and Elincia sat side by side across from him, facing forward. The carriage was spacious and comfortable, allowing plenty of room for the three of them.

With two talkative companions, Broken could sit back and relax, letting the random chatter between Ivana and Elincia pass over him. They laughed and exchanged stories, occasionally glancing his way, but he was content to just enjoy the ride in silence.

The trip to the Capital City would have been quicker if they had taken a direct route. However, they needed to drop Ivana off at a coastal region near the northern region, which made the journey a bit longer.

Eventually, they arrived at Deadbay City, where the carriage came to a stop in the center of town. Ivana waved cheerfully as she prepared to leave.

"Ivana, let Mr. Fokil know that I'll stay a few days in Deadbay after we return from the Capital City," Broken said before she stepped out.

"Yes, sure! I'm sure he'll be missing you too," she giggled. "Though, knowing him, he'll probably act like it's no big deal when you show up."

With Ivana gone, the journey continued, leaving only Elincia and Broken inside the carriage.

"The beast is impressive," Broken finally spoke up, his interest piqued by the creature pulling the carriage.

"Yeah, it is," Elincia replied. "Jovina's really proud of her choice. I think you can take some pride in this, especially when we roll into the capital."

"Oh, really?"

"Yes... Didn't you notice how the people in Deadbay were watching as the carriage passed by?"

"Nope, my head was off somewhere," Broken said, grinning.

Elincia giggled. "That's alright. Need more time to daydream? Go ahead."

Broken smiled. "Not really-daydreaming for hours gets tiring too, you know."

"I think it's easier to daydream than to work non-stop. And I bet a long journey like this must be boring for you, right?"

"I'd say... yes."

Elincia smiled. "So... I saw how the golem fought. It was incredible."

Broken nodded. "That one's Legendary-grade and pretty high-level, so maybe that's why." Elincia nodded in agreement. "Let me and the others know if you ever need help. Crafting all that equipment, and especially those golems, is going to take a lot of your time."

She paused before continuing. "And I'm sure you'll need a lot of materials too. To make extraordinary golems, you'll need extraordinary resources. Just wanted to say-we're here to help."

Broken nodded. "You've already helped a lot. Thanks."

The journey continued for several hours, filled with light, easygoing conversation. It became clear that Elincia had a remarkable ability to adjust her tone and style depending on who she was talking to.

With Ivana, she was lively and fun, exchanging banter effortlessly. But with Broken, her conversations were calm and measured, with a slower, more thoughtful pace. It was evident that she had strong social skills, able to adapt to different personalities with ease. Elincia truly had the qualities of a seasoned Guild Master. She knew how to handle herself in any situation and was capable of leading influential and even difficult personalities within the Ass Guild. Broken found himself wondering if he could do the same when the time came for him to lead his own guild.

He decided to bring up the topic with her, specifically about the confrontation between Charmelyn and Marlene, which had led to their failed attempts against Gremory-twice. But Elincia just laughed at his explanation. "And you think that's a problem?"

"That is a big problem," Broken replied.

"Do you think, if I were in your place, they wouldn't argue?" she asked with a knowing smile.

He paused, considering it, and realized that, yes, they would likely still clash no matter who was in charge.

Elincia continued, "While I could probably force Charmelyn to back down, I'm not sure I could stop the conflict entirely if it involved someone outside the guild. You've actually done quite well, managing to tame those two wild girls."

"Wild girls?" Broken repeated, then thought about the profiles of Marlene and Charmelyn in the game. Well, yes, both of them were ruthless killers with no hesitation when it came to

violence.

Well yes both of them were wild!

As they approached the capital, Elincia asked for the carriage to stop before they reached the

-city gates.

"I have some other business to take care of. See you," she said, stepping out gracefully.

The carriage continued onward, entering through the city gates just as the sun was setting. The streets were bathed in the warm glow of twilight, with the city lights beginning to flicker on, casting a soft illumination as the day turned into night.

The lively, bustling atmosphere of the capital was a stark contrast to the quiet, almost desolate feel of Slumdon Town. Slumdon had a long way to go, but Broken knew its time would come, and it would grow into a thriving city.

Peeking through the carriage's curtain, Broken noticed people staring at the carriage with curiosity. Whether it was the majestic beast pulling it, the sleek design, or the logo that he had designed himself, something about the carriage was drawing their attention.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

People were clearly watching the carriage with great interest.

"Damn, that beast is so cool. It's both awesome and terrifying at the same time."

"I wonder what kind of Beast Master controls that thing."

"I'd love to ride in a carriage pulled by a Lesser Dragon like that..."

"And who's inside the carriage?"

A few players chimed in, "I think it's from Slumdon. I saw that pickaxe and hammer logo

when I visited there once."

The journey continued until they reached the palace grounds, and the carriage came to a halt.

"My Lord, we've arrived," the carriage driver announced from outside. Broken stepped out, greeted by a row of knights lined up to welcome him.

"Welcome, Lord Broken, the Baron of Slumdon Town," they saluted him.

From a distance, he could see Lionell, clad in heavy armor, his towering frame and imposing presence immediately setting him apart from the other knights. As Lionell approached, he

gave a formal salute.

"It's been a while, Lord Broken. I hope you've been well. Welcome to the capital-Her Highness, Princess Alora, has been expecting you."

Broken returned the salute and followed Lionell as they made their way toward the palace, ready for the meeting that awaited him.
