Chapter 414: Chapter 414 - The Unique-grade Demon was too Weak

[Unique - The Scorched Tyrant Infernak Lvl. 230]

Damn! Unique-grade? Wasn't it Epic-grade before? Broken thought as he quickly assessed the situation. Not only had Infernak's grade jumped, but its level was now a formidable 230. This was going to be a challenge.

He glanced at Ivana. "Ivana, ready to dance?"

Her face, lit by the glow of their flame-covered steeds, broke into a smile. "Yes, I'm so happy to be able to fight alongside you."

Broken grinned back as they both spurred their horses forward, dodging the fiery eruptions bursting from the ground. Although their mounts had fire-based elements, it didn't mean they were immune to all flame attacks. They could still take damage, just less than what non- fire elements would suffer. It made avoiding the scorching blasts even more important.

With a plan forming in his mind, Broken pulled out the Vampiric Command Card. He decided to test its power against Infernak.

[Vampiric Swarm State (Active Skill)]

As soon as the card disappeared from his hand, a massive swarm of bats materialized in the air behind him. The swarm moved swiftly, filling the area with the sound of hundreds of wings flapping in unison. In an instant, the battlefield was covered in a swirling black cloud of 500 bats—each one fast, aggressive, and hungry for blood.

The bats swarmed through the air, diving toward Infernak and engulfing the demon in their chaotic mass. They bit, clawed, and drained life essence as they darted in and out of the flames that radiated from the demon's body. The swarm was relentless, darkening the sky around Infernak as they harried the towering beast.

The sheer number of bats created a haunting spectacle, their black wings flickering against the fiery landscape as they moved like a living storm. They served not only as an attack but also as a distraction, giving Broken and Ivana time to maneuver.

[Vampiric Corruption (Conditional Passive Skill)]

This skill activates automatically when entering Vampiric Swarm State. Enemies affected by the bats take 15% more damage from all sources for 30 seconds after the swarm disperses.

Isn't that a massive debuff? 15% more damage from all sources.

His mind raced as the swarm continued to weaken Infernak.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Now's our chance," he thought, just as the bats swirled in an overwhelming cloud around the demon.

"Ha ha ha ha! Do you think mere bats like these can defeat me?" Infernak's voice boomed across the battlefield.

With a snap of his massive fingers, the entire battlefield erupted in chaos. Tornadoes of magma and fire surged across the area, spiraling into towering infernos. The ground cracked open as molten lava spewed in all directions, turning the once stable land into a deadly, burning wasteland. The heat intensified as the fiery vortexes spun with terrifying force, swallowing everything in their path.

"Ivana, dodge!" Broken shouted.

Both Blaze and Flare responded instantly, sprinting with incredible speed to avoid the deadly tornadoes. The two fiery steeds dashed across the battlefield, their flames trailing behind them as they leapt and zigzagged through the burning maelstrom.

Meanwhile, the swarm of bats scattered in all directions, unable to withstand the sheer heat and force of Infernak's attack. One by one, the bats burst into flames, disintegrating as the tornadoes consumed them.

Damn! Broken gritted his teeth. This skill really isn't suited for a demon like this-especially with such massive area-of-effect attacks. But he couldn't let this opportunity slip by. This was a Unique-grade demon, and the rewards for defeating it would be immense.

"Ivana, let's go all out!" He yelled.

Ivana nodded firmly. "Let's do this," she replied, gripping her sword tightly.

Broken wasted no time and summoned everything at his disposal.

Gaia emerged, as all her summoned creatures materialized alongside them. Dendros, and the water wild boar charged forward. He also called forth the power of the Wavebreaker Spear, unleashing its water-based abilities, and activated his Water Domain, creating a shimmering veil of water that encased the battlefield.

Ivana with a swift motion, she hurled her shield into the air. The shield expanded rapidly, spinning like a whirlwind as it cut through the battlefield, headed straight for Infernak. The demon laughed, attempting to swat the shield away with its hand, but Ivana appeared in a flash, catching the shield mid-air. Her body floated effortlessly, hovering with perfect control above Infernak.

In a split second, she spun the shield, and with a powerful swing, slammed it directly into Infernak's head. The demon, caught off guard, had no time to react as the force of the blow sent it crashing into the ground, the impact shaking the earth beneath them.

Without hesitation, Broken leaped from Blaze's back, charging straight toward Infernak, ready for close combat.

He seized the opening, surging forward with every skill he had. Gaia's summons rushed in, entangling Infernak in roots and vines that burst from the ground, while Dendros summoned a storm of vines that slashed through the air, adding pressure to the demon's defenses. The wild boar charged, ramming into Infernak's side, further destabilizing it.

The Water Domain began to work its magic, surrounding Infernak and slowing its movements. The once swift and fiery demon now found itself sluggish, struggling to keep up as Broken closed the distance. His spear gleamed with water energy as he unleashed sharp, water-infused slashes that tore into Infernak's already weakened form. Each strike slowed the demon further, as the chilling water wrapped around its flaming body, dampening its power.

Ivana, floating above, summoned another burst of power. With a quick motion, she spun her shield once more and launched it downward, aiming directly at Infernak's weakened chest. The shield hit with such force that it created a shockwave, further disorienting the demon and sending cracks through the ground beneath it.

They both fully immersed themselves in the thrill of battle, the excitement clear on Ivana's face. Despite her gentle and kind nature, it was evident she enjoyed the intensity of a heated fight just as much as Broken.

"Broken, switch!" Ivana shouted, her voice filled with adrenaline. Without missing a beat, Broken surged forward, seamlessly taking over the fight, striking with precision and power. Their synchronization was flawless, as if they had been fighting together for years.

"Ivana, from behind!" Broken called out, noticing an opening.

Ivana responded immediately, darting around the battlefield with grace, launching an attack that landed perfectly, catching the demon off guard.

Infernak writhed in pain, its towering form struggling to break free from the combined onslaught. Broken and Ivana kept up the pressure, their coordination flawless, as the demon's flames flickered weakly. The battlefield was a chaotic blend of water and fire, the once overwhelming presence of the Scorched Tyrant now reduced to a staggering giant, desperately trying to regain control.

And yes, the battle felt smoother with Ivana's support shields, allowing Broken to switch between offense and defense seamlessly. They coordinated their attacks perfectly, striking the demon from multiple angles, keeping it disoriented and off balance.

Within less than five minutes, the battle was over!

[You have defeated The Scorched Tyrant Infernak Lvl. 230]

Broken stood over the smoldering remains of the once-mighty demon, catching his breath.

Was this demon too weak for a Unique-grade? he wondered for a moment. Or maybe, the real monsters here were him and Ivana. The latter seemed more accurate.

Now, his excitement grew as he focused on the next important step-checking the loot. Could there be another Legendary-grade item? His heart raced. Yes, I'm that greedy, he thought with a grin, eager to see what treasures awaited him.
