Chapter 120: Early Nascent Soul Realm

Following his thoughts, Lucifer was about to poke his head out to see if the coast was clear. However, before he made that grave mistake, he ducked even further to the crickety wooden floor. Luckily he did this, because the moment this thought so much as passed through his mind, another one of those monsters stuck its slitted tongue near the cabin's window seal.
Sensing around for a second, Lucifer could see a small eyeball open up on the end of the tongue. He thought about going in for the kill right then and there, but even he had a limit to his stupidity. Therefore, it was with great restraint that he held the white floofer close to his chest and kept himself as silent as possible.
In a few seconds, the tongue slithered back up to the sky and the bigfoot monster was no longer there.
Sending out subtle segments of his divine sense, Lucifer was able to verify that all the Bigfoot monsters had 100% left the area. Though he was 100% sure that they'd be back, and there was no way he wanted to stick around and wait for that to happen.
It was with no hesitation that he took Whitey and phased through the cabin walls like an incorporeal ghost.
This ability was acquired after reaching the Early Silver Rank in his Evil Path, and with it, Lucifer edged ever closer to understanding more and more of the Evil side of the world.
His Evil Path was now at the Late Silver Rank, meaning that he had an even more diverse array of abilities than just passing through objects. Moreover, there was also his Body Cultivation and Mind Cultivation, both of which had reached the precipice of the Adamantine Rank!
It would likely be no more than 5 minutes before he broke through-

"Oh? It looks like I broke through… I guess the effects from all those pills finally kicked in…"
Like a true Drug Lord, Lucifer always had the medicinal effects of drugs in his system. Though if he could have it his way, he would definitely intake enough pills to pass out and never again wake up.
"Hmm… Maybe I should look into self-induced cultivation improving drug comas…"
While incoherently mumbling to himself, Lucifer also took a few hard looks at the dark metallic shade his skin had taken. From a brilliant diamond-like sheen to a more full navy blue color, it might appear like a downgrade had occurred. However, in reality, a major beneficial transformation had happened in the very atoms that made yo his body.
Opening up his simplified system interface, this is what he saw.

A satisfied smile emerged on Lucifer's face as his hands moved toward the 'clone purchase' button. Making quick work of his Super Clone Essence, he burned through that shit like it was going out of style!
By the end of this spending spree, 3 Half-Step Unity Form Synthesis Realm Clones and thousands of Peak Void Refinement Realm Clones materialized from thin air!
"Time to grind!?" Lucifer asked in a booming voice, causing the eyes of both himself and the clones to shine like diamonds.
Without saying any more nonsense, all of them vanished from their spots and spread out into the ominous forest. Some quickly died and others managed to rake in massive amounts of loot. Divided by distance, but United by cause, Lucifer and his clones scoured the dangerous forest and actively sought out any benefits.
Within a couple minutes, the Super Clone Essence Acquisition Rate reached all-time highs!
Amassing more than 1 Trillion Super Clone Essence with each passing second, it was fair to say that Lucifer was about to become absolutely loaded!
Ten minutes and he already had 50 more Half-Step Unity Form Synthesis Realm Clones.
Another ten minutes and that number was in the thousands…
When an entire hour flashed by, Lucifer's total max lvl clone count achieved an all-time high of one million!
SHING! SHING!
Launching countless arcs of sword Qi, he and his clones overwhelmed the earlier bigfoot Nightmare Monsters with just pure numbers! No fancy movements and no detailed strategies; just a shit-ton of clones all working toward accomplishing the tasks set out by their main body!
Moving away from the active battlefield, Lucifer found himself a nice rock to sit on. Slowly combing through the fluffy white fur of Whitey, he decided to look at the incoming system notifications. Utterly ignoring the horrifying monsters plummeting to the earth from all directions, he put all his focus on the gains.
BOOOOOM!!!
A mountain was flattened by a dead Unity Form Synthesis Realm Bigfoot, but Lucifer conveniently ignored that as well…

Jumping a little out of his skin in joy, Lucifer reached into his storage ring and popped the pills that his Alchemy Slaves had been hard at work in producing. All of the Peak-Earth Rank, there truly were no better pills for him at his current cultivation level!
Without dawdling around a single second further, Lucifer gobbled up the pills and circulated the medicinal effects contained within them. After his body started to glow and spark, he instantly knew that he was ready for the breakthrough!
Well, to be honest, if he didn't go through with the breakthrough right away, he would likely blow up like a balloon and explode. At this level of pills intake, his drug head encouragement techniques no longer had a substantial effect on his fatality rate…

Going through with the breakthrough without a care in the world, Lucifer ignored the mountain-sized Nightmare Monsters plummeting to the ground from every direction imaginable. Rather, he was attempting to form a Nascent Soul right outside the area above his Golden Core, so nothing was permitted to distract him!
Thankfully, Lucifer was too drugged up on pills to even notice the absolutely apocalyptic scene happening around his meditative figure…
"Time to break through!!!"
Hollering this at the top of his lungs, the breakthrough came like a raging storm! Taking his entire existence by surprise, a rush of Qi washed over his Dantian Space like an unstoppable tsunami!
All figurative walls preventing a breakthrough were broken down and replaced with a state of being that could only be described as euphoria!
The breakthrough was a complete success!
The Early Nascent Soul Realm!
Inhaling and exhaling a few deep breaths of tired air, Lucifer tried to catch his breath. After a few moments of stabilizing himself, he looked inside his Dantian Space with his improved Divine Sense.
The first thing he saw was a miniature version of himself sitting directly above his Core. Using the energy being constantly emitted from the Golden Core, his Nascent Soul started to embark on the Soul Path!
"As soon as it reaches a sufficient point, I can use the cultivation of my Nascent Soul to get myself on the Path of Soul Cultivation as well. Of course, I will need to make a few alterations with my past life Soul Cultivation Technqueus, but I have a feeling that everything will work out just fine!"
Thinking optimistically about the matter, Lucifer figured he should open up his system interface and see all the most recent changes.
But before his eyes could reach the system interface pop-up, a large number of system notifications blocked his vision…

Heaving a tired sigh that vividly showed the woes of a broke man, Lucifer then looked toward his system interface and gritted his teeth. "It's time to make the sacrifice…" He mumbled.
While acting as if he were going to cut off one of his arms, he tapped the clone purchase button and bought up 8 clones, all of whom possessed strength in the Early Unity Form Synthesis Realm!
"Hell yeah…"
Lucifer tried his best to act excited, but the pain inflicted on him from loss of wealth was just too great a one to bear…
However, they say that time heals all wounds, and with the passing of a couple seconds, he was already right back to tip top shape!
Right away, Lucifer moved from his position and darted through the spooky woods. Before long, his slimy black tendrils had already had their ends touch upon every inch of the battlefield. As a result of this touch fest, Lucifer was able to absorb the corpses of every single fallen Nightmare Monster.
In no time at all, his cultivation began to make major jumps!

Little did he know that there were indeed some organisms with nefarious intentions plotting in the background.
In the great Raja Forest, there were evil beings that wished to get rid of the existence that ran around and caused havoc in their territory. For example, that herd of Bigfoot Terrors were one of the traps that these 'evil beings' set up to get rid of the nuisance once and for all.
But considering how hard this 'trap' of theirs flopped, it was unknown just what sort of drastic measures they would take upon learning of what happened…
