I'm the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon

Chapter 882: First Encounter

Chapter 882: First Encounter

Later, someone pulled Silentfairy into a room and impatiently asked, "How's the situation? When can I stop hiding here every day doing nothing?"

Silentfairy looked at the person with some impatience, "Why are you in such a hurry? Just wait patiently! Didn't I tell you not to contact me unless it's necessary? What if we get caught?"

Silentfairy genuinely thought that the person in front of him was not capable of handling things properly. He had only been here for a few days, and he was already so restless. What could he achieve so quickly?

If he knew that this person was not very reliable and that he might as well have come alone.

This person, upon hearing Silentfairy's words, responded indifferently, "No need to worry, you're just being too cautious. It's not so easy to get caught. Right now, that Shimizu's attention is probably all on that Barcas."

"Is that so? So, I'm so easy to be deceived in your eyes!"

As soon as this person's words fell, the figures of Yuga and Gengar slowly appeared in the room.

Hearing Yuga's voice, Silentfairy was shocked, his face filled with disbelief as he looked at Yuga and Gengar, who had suddenly appeared before him.

The other person was even more useless, falling flat on the ground in fright.

Silentfairy's reaction was swift; he didn't even have time to consider when he had been exposed. Seeing his companion acting so helpless, he took out his own Poké Balls with the intent to release his Pokémon. He had the self-awareness to know that he couldn't match Yuga, so his goal in releasing his Pokémon was to create an opportunity to escape.

As for the guy sprawled on the ground, he was beyond Silentfairy's control; they weren't exactly on the same side.

The two Pokémon that Silentfairy released were Weezing and Arbok.

As soon as Weezing appeared, it used Smokescreen to obscure everyone's vision in the room, intending to buy Silentfairy some time to escape.

But Yuga had already anticipated this. Mismagius, at some point, appeared beside him and Gengar, and then everyone in the room, both humans and Pokémon, were enveloped in a special space.

Just as Silentfairy was about to open the door to leave, he suddenly felt the door in front of him disappear, and there was a transparent wall in its place. No matter how hard he pounded on it, the wall didn't respond in the slightest.

When Weezing's Smokescreen dissipated, Silentfairy saw that his Arbok and Weezing had long since fallen to the ground, unconscious. And just inches away from him, a haughty Serperior was coldly watching him.

Serperior's expression was so cold that it made Silentfairy unconsciously take a step back.

And this action in Serperior's eyes was seen as an aggressive intent. Its figure flashed, and Silentfairy was tightly entwined.

As Serperior continued to tighten its body, Silentfairy's body emitted a teeth-gritting sound, but he held his tongue and didn't make a sound despite the pain.

Didn't expect you to be such a tough nut!

Yuga thought as he watched Silentfairy with surprise.

As for the other useless guy, Yuga walked over and gave him a kick, causing him to faint directly.

The contrast in the performance of the two was too stark, and Yuga found it hard to believe they were allies.

After capturing both of them, Gengar and Mismagius withdrew from the special space, and Mismagius returned to the Shadow Space, while Gengar remained by Yuga's side.

During the time Silentfairy stayed at the Pokémon Paradise Hotel, Yuga had never seen any Pokémon by his side. However, when Gengar searched him, it found seven or eight Poké Balls.

He hid them quite well!

Although the Pokémon inside these Poké Balls were not particularly impressive, the fact that they had managed to survive here until now was an achievement in itself.

You see, both the Day Care and the Pokémon Paradise, including the adjacent Verdanturf Gym, were under Yuga's strict surveillance.

Whenever there was something suspicious or a suspicious person, the patrol Pokémon would report to Yuga, and when Yuga wasn't around, they would report to Audino.

But Silentfairy had never shown a trace of weakness; if it weren't for Yuga sending Pokémon to specifically monitor Strawberry and Barcas, he might not have been discovered at all.

Huh?

Yuga checked the Poké Balls in his hand and soon noticed something was amiss.

Where's the Hypno?

He checked several times, but he still couldn't find the Poké Ball containing the Hypno.

Escaped? When did it escape?

Yuga had been following Silentfairy all along and had never seen the Hypno leave. It also couldn't have left after entering this room, or else Gengar and Mismagius would have sensed it.

Thinking about the Hypno that had disappeared without a trace, Yuga furrowed his brows tightly.

"Where's your Hypno?" Yuga asked, not understanding the situation.

Unable to speak due to the pain inflicted by Serperior, Silentfairy simply gritted his teeth and endured the torment.

Knowing Silentfairy was a tough nut to crack, Yuga decided to wake up the other person.

This other person wasn't as resilient as Silentfairy. With a little intimidation from Yuga, he spilled everything.

As Silentfairy's companion spilled the beans, Silentfairy watched in disbelief. The contrast between their behavior was stark, and it was hard to believe they were part of the same organization.

Strictly speaking, they weren't from the same organization, but they were effectively now.

Silentfairy belonged to Team Rocket, while this other person was part of the Team Aqua.

The reason they were considered part of the same organization now was that one of the two major villain organizations in the Hoenn region, the Team Aqua, had surprisingly been absorbed by Team Rocket. Currently, it functioned as a branch of Team Rocket within the region.

When Yuga heard this news, he could hardly believe his ears.

The Team Aqua had been absorbed by Team Rocket! Could anyone believe that if it was said aloud?

But the one who had orchestrated this turn of events was none other than Yuga himself.

Originally, the plan was for the Team Aqua to secretly develop until it reached a certain level of strength before revealing itself. By then, their strength would have been far greater compared to their current state.

However, things took an unexpected turn.

The Team Aqua was exposed prematurely by Yuga and Norman. It hadn't had the time to develop quietly.

The still-unstable Team Aqua couldn't withstand the relentless pressure from the League, and they were forced to struggle for survival under the League's watchful eyes, fearing that one day they would be wiped out.

The Team Aqua had no chance to grow and strengthen its position. They were struggling to survive under the League's pressure.

After Yuga, in collaboration with Steven, defeated an important branch of the Team Aqua, the League intensified its crackdown on the Team Aqua, making their situation even worse.

Under the League's harsh measures, the still-fragile Team Aqua couldn't grow. They were on the brink of collapse.

Archie, the leader of the Team Aqua, was practically tearing her hair out bald in frustration.

If you want to ask who ia the person the Team Aqua hated the most right now was undoubtedly Yuga.

Just when the Team Aqua was at its wits' end, Ariana, who was still carrying out missions in the region, reached out to Archie. Before long, the Team Aqua became a branch of Team Rocket in the region.

What Ariana discussed with Archie was unknown to everyone, including the pathetic person in front of Yuga.

He only knew that shortly after that, everyone in the Team Aqua found out that they had become a branch of another major organization in the Kanto and Johto region, Team Rocket.

Compared to the insignificant Team Aqua, Team Rocket, which has dominated the underground forces in Kanto and Johto for many years, has both money and the ability to compete with the League, so the people in the Team Aqua are not very dissatisfied.

Compared to the struggling days they had endured, who wouldn't want a better life?

After the Team Aqua merged with Team Rocket, Archie remained in charge in the region. His first order was to deal with the person responsible for making them pariahs, Shimizu Yuga.

So, in front of Yuga, there were these two individuals.

However, the Team Aqua members were scarce, so Archie borrowed personnel from Ariana's team.

Silentfairy's real name wasn't even Silentfairy; it was just a fake identity he used. His true identity was a member of Ariana's specialized team, "Thousand Faces."

"Thousand Faces" was an intelligence and espionage unit, and each member was an elite trained in Team Rocket's headquarters.

The pathetic one in front of Yuga knew little about Silentfairy's true identity, just some general information. After all, as someone in a branch with neither high nor low status, he didn't have much insight into the headquarters.

Yuga's power was overwhelming, and Archie hadn't intended to confront him directly but rather chose to infiltrate slowly.

Their original plan was to make Yuga suspect Barcas through Silentfairy's psychological manipulation, have Barcas expelled, and then have the pathetic one take Barcas's place.

The next target after Barcas would have been Strawberry, followed by Aunt Aoba, and then the employees of the Pokémon Day Care.

The plan was sound good, but the execution proved difficult. It all fell apart at the first step.

Archie probably couldn't imagine the extent of Yuga's control over the surrounding area; otherwise, she wouldn't have come up with this plan.

After listening to the pathetic one's explanation, Yuga rolled his eyes dramatically. "So, if Barcas left, I would've been stuck with someone like you? How desperate am I to do that?"

Yuga couldn't help but think that Archie's brain might as well be filled with water.

Ultimately, from Yuga's perspective, the Team Aqua members didn't have what it took. Whether it was their intellect or their initiative, they were nowhere near the level of Team Rocket members.

In the end, the Team Aqua had formed too late, lacked a deep-rooted foundation, and compared to the heavyweight Team Rocket, they were like country bumpkins.

After getting as much information as he could from the pathetic one, Yuga knocked him unconscious. He then turned to Silentfairy and asked, "Can you tell me where your Hypno went?"

Silentfairy remained silent, lips sealed.

Seeing the situation, Yuga knew he wouldn't get any more information this way. However, since Silentfairy was a member of Team Rocket's elite "Thousand Faces" unit and also Ariana's subordinate, it was possible that the Hypno didn't belong to him.

"It seems I'll have to use more extreme measures," Yuga said, beckoning to Gengar.

Seeing Gengar floating over with a mischievous grin, Silentfairy finally spoke, his face turning pale. "Are you planning to use hypnosis on me?"

Hypnosis was a commonly used method for interrogation. Humans found it challenging to resist a Pokémon's hypnosis, so this method was usually very effective.

Silentfairy wouldn't be an exception; with hypnosis, he'd spill everything, whether it should be said or not.

If he had a special ring like Ariana's, which could resist and interfere with powerful psychic abilities, maybe hypnosis wouldn't work on him. But he didn't have one.

Those kinds of rings, capable of resisting and disrupting powerful psychic abilities, were prohibitively expensive. Currently, only the Boss and the Executive in the organization had them.

"Afraid now? Planning to tell me the truth?"

Yuga said to Silentfairy with smile.

"You're quite impressive!"

Suddenly Silentfairy blurted out.

He still had no idea how he was exposed. At this moment, he strongly suspected that it was the pathetic one who had drawn Yuga's attention.

Thinking this way, he gave a fierce glare in the direction of the pathetic one. He thought, "I told him not to approach me casually, but he never listens! What a waste!"

Little did he know that Yuga had psychic and ghost-type Pokémon constantly monitoring Barcas twenty-four hours a day. Unless he avoided contact with Barcas entirely, it was impossible not to be detected.

Taken aback by Silentfairy's unexpected praise, Yuga paused for a moment.

"Shoul i said thank you?"

"Mr. Shimizu, could you please have your Serperior release me? There are some things I need to discuss with you."

Enduring the numbness caused by Serperior's constriction, Silentfairy tried to make himself look less disheveled.

Yuga hesitated upon hearing this, unsure if Silentfairy was planning something. However, considering that all of Silentfairy's Pokémon had been confiscated, he signaled Serperior to release him.

To prevent Silentfairy from attempting anything inappropriate, Serperior released him but continued to keep a close eye on him, staying nearby.

As Silentfairy felt the blood flow returning to his body, his complexion improved. He then said to Yuga, "Thank you."

Afterward, Yuga watched as Silentfairy rolled up his sleeve, revealing a small bracelet. Silentfairy tapped on the bracelet a few times, and in front of him, a holographic screen appeared with a figure.

It turned out that the bracelet was a communicator.

"Boss!"

Silentfairy called out to the person on the holographic screen.

"What's going on?"

Although the person on the other side wasn't facing Yuga directly, from the back view and Silentfairy's address, Yuga could guess who it was – Giovanni, the boss of Team Rocket!

"Mr. Shimizu, the Gym Leader of the Verdanturf Gym, Yuga Shimizu, is right next to me... I... I've been captured by him..."

Silentfairy took a deep breath and, summoning his courage, reported to Giovanni through the holographic communicator.

After Silentfairy's words, there was a brief silence on the other side of the holographic screen. It wasn't until a gracefully postured cat-like Pokémon leaped onto the table behind Giovanni and let out a lazy yawn that the short-lived tranquility was broken.

"Gym Leader Shimizu? I've heard of you!"

A deep and magnetic voice emanated from the holographic communicator, revealing Giovanni's presence.

"The renowned Boss of Team Rocket! Likewise, I've heard of you," Yuga replied, though his mind was far from calm.

He hadn't expected to encounter Giovanni, the boss of Team Rocket, in such an unexpected and tense situation, communicating through a small communicator.

Through the tiny holographic screen, Yuga could only see Giovanni's back.

But did Silentfairy believe that he could secure his release by contacting Giovanni? He had disrupted quite a few of Team Rocket's operations. Did Silentfairy think Giovanni would simply let him go?
