In the helicopter cockpit, a Mountain Demon wearing a black tank top and military pants, shaking his head to the music through his headphones, was startled by a sudden violent tremor.

The entire helicopter tilted momentarily, almost flipping over on its side.

He quickly took off his headphones and then shut off the helicopter's engine.

As the rotor blades gradually came to a halt, the cockpit door opened, and the Mountain Demon jumped out.

"Huh, Ning Yuantai?"

He looked at Ning Yuantai, who was practically embedded in the helicopter's body, and said bemusedly.

"Please, this helicopter was borrowed from the Qingcheng government; it needs to be returned..."

Xue Jing tossed the green bamboo segment in his hand, and the panel popped up with a prompt.

[Divine Substance detected, absorbing Divinity...]

Watching his Divinity increase by several points every second, the silver-white in Xue Jing's pupils faded as he turned to ask Captain Void Blade:

She tried to keep her voice as calm as possible as she spoke:

"He is from Cease-Blades, the person I mentioned to you... As you can see, he's a bit mentally challenged."

Xue Jing rubbed his chin, "So he's got a powerful backing?"

Captain Void Blade hummed in affirmation, "Yes, very powerful."

But not as powerful as you, she added to herself as she looked at Xue Jing.

"In the chaos when the 'gods' died and the New Calendar just began, the entire world's structure underwent drastic changes."

"Heroes emerge in troubled times... During that period, our Zhuxia saw several ruthless individuals who established formidable businesses and legacies that continue to this day..."

"These families, along with a few upstarts that came later, are known as the 'Thirteen Great Families'."

Captain Void Blade explained.

"Currently, most of the inhabitants of Cangting are related to the Thirteen Great Families... Knowing this, you should understand the gravity."

"And this Ning fellow is one of the Thirteen Great Families, from the Ning Clan."

Xue Jing raised an eyebrow, "Huh? If his family is so formidable, then wouldn't me beating him up be a problem?"

Captain Void Blade shook her head, "It shouldn't be... Although Ning seems mentally touched, as he often mentions, he doesn't rely much on his family connections... unless they proactively help him."

"And besides, the Thirteen Great Families are sprawling, each has progeny ranging from tens of thousands to millions, not even counting those who have completely split off from the bloodline."

"I'm not sure about Ning's branch, but it's probably not the core of the Ning Clan."

Captain Void Blade took another look at Xue Jing, thinking to herself, do you even need to worry about this?

"I'll send you some materials related to the Intersecting Boundaries during this time. Try to read as much as possible, and in ten days, or if you want to go in earlier, just contact me."

Next to the helicopter, Mountain Demon finally pried Ning Yuantai out before supporting him by slinging one of Ning's arms over his own neck.

Xue Jing waved at Mountain Demon from a distance and said:

At the mention of this, Captain Void Blade's expression paused.

According to the Divine Relics database, serial numbers starting from three hundred onward simply follow the order of appearance with no relation to the specific functions or danger levels.

A serial number five hundred does not mean it's more formidable than one with the serial number three thousand; the ranking between them merely indicates who appeared first.

So although 'Hundred Feet Pole's Top' ranked higher in serial number, Xue Jing had no expectations of how much Divinity it could provide. Anything over five hundred would be a pleasant surprise, and two to three hundred wouldn't be disappointing.

He didn't expect it to yield over six hundred, which pleasantly surprised him.

"With over six hundred... I'll upgrade Shadow Flame by one level first."

Xue Jing pondered for a moment, speaking to himself.

Shadow Flame currently had a new use which greatly augmented his combat strength.

He opened the panel and moved to the Divine Skills tab.
