I Refuse to be a Supporting Character

Chapter 90: Hotel Room

After getting off the plane, Gu Jin was pale, vomiting, and almost unable to stand on her own to feet. If it hadnt been for Mu Mingchengs support, she would have lost her footing at the airport a while ago.

The team leader from the other party noticed that her complexion wasnt quite right. He smiled and asked, Who is this beautiful lady?

Gu Jin was surprised. Just as she was about to reply, she felt Mu Minchengs arm circle around her waist. Mr. Bruce, let me introduce her to you. This is my girlfriend.

Mr. Bruces eyes lit up and he praised Gu Jin. Although this was their first meeting and she had yet to say a word, the man excessively complimented her, leaving her a bit bashful.

Who says only Chinese people can flatter? Other people can say good things about crooked nuts; those people are all just the same.

Noting that the newly arrived group was feeling tired, the welcoming party arranged a reception banquet for the following day instead.

They also brought their visitors to a hotel that had been arranged beforehand.

However, there was a lack of personal space.

For instance

Only one room was reserved for Gu Jin and Mu Mingcheng.

Gu Jin was silent as she followed Mu Mingcheng into the presidential suite. She then looked up and smiled: Mingcheng, I think we should reserve another room.

You think too highly of yourself, Mu Mingcheng took his eyes up then down at her body. Theres not much to say about your figure.

The his implied dislike was made obvious.

Of course, Mr. Mu wont do anything. Gu Jin, who was looking straight at Mu Mingcheng, lowered her gaze to a certain part of his, and said with a raised brow, But just in case, wed better reserve another room.

Just in case, Gu Jins remarks were meaningful. Wasnt it the same with their accidental encounter back at Yuqing Pavilion?

After speaking, Gu Jin proceeded to exit.

Wait a minute, Mu Mingcheng said. Now that everyone knows youre my girlfriend, what would outsiders think if you booked another room?

What else would they think? Obviously, theyll make fun of Mu Mingcheng for not being able to win a womans affection.

Gu Jin, regardless of Mu Mingchengs image in the minds of outsider, kept walking and opened the door.

Then his voice sounded again: Back home at Y country, we agreed that one day of living in the same room as me is equivalent to five days of the allotted time limit for our trial relationship.

Gu Jin stopped and turned around. Is that true?

What do you think? Mu Mingcheng sat on the sofa and pulled out the blood jade bracelet from his pocket. There are other rooms within this suite, we dont have to sleep together. If only someone wasnt so prideful and used her head, instead of having a dirty mind.

The jade bracelet was more dazzling and red underneath the sunlight that poured into the room. Gu Jin had an unusual smile on her face as she replied, Alright, Ill remember your words.

After taking her suitcase to one of the rooms, Gu Jin entered the bathroom to take a bath. By the time she came out and laid in bed, her exhaustion had miraculously dissipated.

Some time passed. Gu Jin was a little thirsty, so she got up and poured herself a glass of water at the lobby.

Did you sleep earlier? She thought Mu Mingcheng was resting in his bedroom.

Mu Mingcheng was wrapped in his bathrobe, sitting on the sofa with his computer and busily looking over his documents. He simply lifted his head and looked at her.

Unexpectedly, Gu Jin could see a trace of a Kings contempt from that glance, as if to say Im not as idle and carefree as you are.

The corner of her mouth lifted. She refilled her glass of water, but when she turned around, she was stunned at the sight.

Because as Mu Mingcheng sat, his bathrobe opened a slit, revealing the smooth muscles on his chest.

Underneath the light, it seemed to glisten like honey.

Mouthwatering and inviting.

Gu Jin gulped down her water, which made a particularly loud sound in this quiet room.
