'He is looking at Luiz… with love?'

The husband questioned himself inwardly as he noticed those emotions. It was a pure love, but a tad different from the one that Kyoya has been showered with by Xaya. This kind of love was also something impossible for him to feel too.

It was a love that one's parents would give to its children.

It was also noticed easier by the husband as he was sealed.

When those eyes closed, Kyoya realized that the assassin purposely allowed him to see this emotion. Maybe he was aware that the husband was good with the emotions and so he displayed those to get his attention.

It was clearly an invitation for the talk!

'He probably saw how I saved Luiz…'

Kyoya was ready to speak with the assassin at any time as he was a great teacher and someone whom he was grateful to. As the meal passed in silence, the rest of the disciples bid farewell to the assassin and went to take a nap.

Luiz herself glanced at Kyoya and invited him for a sleepover, but the husband could only refuse with an awkward smile. As Kyoya was like that from the very beginning, Luiz just joked that he lost something precious just now.

Then, she went towards her sleeping back with a slight blush on her face.

"Kyoya, was it?"

"Yes, my name is Kyoya."

It wouldn't be hard for the assassin to get the husband's name, but Kyoya knew that it was his way of telling that he'd seen everything that happened last night. The husband nodded after introduction, then the assassin stood up.

He then slowly strolled toward the unknown direction that was foreign for the husband.

As they slowly went through the silent forest and fog, Kyoya found himself on the small hill. This hill was pretty high and one could see the clear sky from this place. However, the husband's eyes couldn't hover on the starless sky for too long as the assassin took out the wooden training dummy. This dummy looked like an experienced warrior with thick armor that covered it from top to bottom.

This dummy is going to be the training bag from now on!

"I will show you my full power on this wooden dummy. This wooden dummy is made out from the special kind of wood that you can only find on the Naranaska Kingdom's floor."

"Yes!"

If such a wooden dummy could survive the full power, then Naranaska Kingdom couldn't be anything else other than one of the nine ascended kingdoms! The husband smiled brightly in response when he heard those words as the show of full power will be way too beneficial for him.

And so, the show happened. A show that brought the husband severely closer to the Jack's Disciple level.

"I am… out…"

Kyoya rubbed his eyes after he just processed everything that he could, then pushed away all the game system's messages to the side. He took the seat close to the assassin whose lips were already busy with the cigarette.

Both of them were looking like family, a grandson and grandpa.

Or more like uncle and nephew!

Regardless, the husband felt lucky to see such a show, but it was also the present he got from the assassin! The last present, that was!

"Can you resurrect your beast?"

"I can and I will."

"Good."

A silence ensued yet again then.

And as the assassin had his cigarette, Kyoya also wanted to have something to accompany him. That was why a small snack popped out from his inventory that was specially made for the husband by his yandere wife.

It was some candy bar that Xaya was 'testing' so Kyoya sometimes coughed severely, but it was indeed filled with love that appeased his pain.

Even more, Kyoya made the assassin laugh.

"A family… I also had a chance to get one, but due to my ambitions I lost this chance."

"If you feel like speaking… then I am all ears…"

Just by letting out one's worries and regrets to another person, one could get rid of tremendous burden heaving over their heart.

This statement was made by the husband as he spoke and so the assassin opened himself.

"Thirty years ago, I had a moment of weakness. I lost myself in warmth, but believed that it was still my time. I believed that I could leave this world pillar… so I just left the woman who was the only one who could make my life merrier."

"..."

"I didn't know when to stop and then later on… I found out that I have a daughter."

"That sucks."

"I know, right?"

When the assassin thoroughly realized his cap, he went back to the low floor where he met that special woman. It was absurd for the assassin to have family while being active, so it was truly the moment of weakness for him.

And upon his return, the assassin quickly found out that the woman was dead.

She was dead and her only descendant was struggling in the low floor. And as the energies couldn't lie to the mortals, the assassin's sheer eye was enough to see through the descendant.

She was his daughter and her name was Luiz.

"Even if it's late, you should tell her about your identity… It might be anger and hate at the beginning, but it should slowly bloom into acceptance."

Kyoya could see that the assassin regret his choice, that he was ready to accept any punishment and also secretly help Luiz with the assassin craft. However, the husband also could feel that the assassin would just give up on everything once Luiz completed her training.

It would be too sad if this truly happened.

"I am unable to show my true identity or much emotions in front of her. I am a failure as a father."

"Please, we make mistakes as we are humans. Not only humans make mistakes, I meant…. Ugh, please, just speak with her."
