Chapter 92: Returning home (2)
Chapter 92: Returning home (2)
The two goblins, Dal and Una, were healed up in a jiffy, and Ika was trying to take them back to the place where Dawn was resting.
It wasn't easy for Dal and Una to regain their feelings and self when they thought they died.
However, since they were goblins down to their heart, they were able to recover quickly.
And they were currently walking through the dark forest.
They didn't dare be so arrogant to run wildly again in this dangerous land.
After all, this was a forest full of unseen threats and unknown dangers.
And even though they loved fighting as well, with Dawn in his state, they wouldn't want to gain the attention of some unwanted monsters.
Well, considering the Warmen and goblins' battle were so intense, it wouldn't be weird if the monsters already ran.
And as they continued walking without making a sound, Ika suddenly spoke as she gave some signs to stop the two goblins.
As they hadn't completely recovered yet, Ika was currently leading Dal and Una.
"I feel a presence."
When Dal and Una heard what Ika said, they immediately tried to prepare themselves.
They hid their bodies by bending their knees, and they made themselves as little as possible.
It was quite an effort for them to do so as they were weakened, but they wouldn't dare slack if there were someone creeping on them.
After all, the presence that Ika felt might be an enemy.
Being cautious wouldn't hurt them.
It was then.
Swosh.
The sound of grasses moving could be heard as the three goblins hiding in the dark sharpened their eyes.
From what they experienced in the south, every monster that lives here is an evolved one.
Even a normal monster here could threaten them.
However, no matter how much they waited, the monster just wouldn't show up.
The three goblins tensed up as they imagined how they would be surrounded or be attacked behind.
It was suspense and intense for them as they wanted to know what it was.
That was why when they saw the trees being disturbed right in front of them, they lowered their bodies even more!
They could feel that it was a small monster, but they didn't want to underestimate a monster here.
After all, back in the day, they used to get beaten up by skeletons and weak monsters.
It was then.
The three goblins could finally hear and feel that the creature is about to come out of his hiding shell.
Pwak!
They heard something being broken when something walked, and with their enhanced vision, they saw an arm sticking out of the darkness.
And that arm was holding the tree as the creature's head peeked out of nowhere.
"Chwee?"
That creature made a noise as it tilted its monstrous head. It had green skin for its head, and the three goblins could see it clearly.
The creature saw the three goblins were hiding, and it immediately...questioned them as it spoke once more.
"Chweee!"
And because the creature spoke, the three goblins broke out of their stupefied state.
They looked at each other with funny faces after they all breathed a sigh of relief.
"A goblin..."
Needless to say, it was because of the goblin that showed up here that made them feel they were unnecessarily tense.
Of course, that would be a normal reaction after what they've gone through and what happened in the day, but still.
It was not an excuse for them to hide like they were still weak monsters.
"Chwee?" The goblin spoke once more as he noticed the three goblins were looking at each other.
However, his stare didn't last as long as they vanished from his sights.
Swosh!
The branches and the leaves moving because of the wind could be heard, and the goblin couldn't even watch what happened as they disappeared immediately!
However, the goblin didn't really mind it as he got back to his duty, patrolling the area.
After all, that was also the reason why the three goblins just went out of their way and ran.
They knew what a goblin being here means.
And that was that this area was already under control, and there was no need to be cautious.
It was proof of how the goblins took their king's safety seriously.
After all, the area that the goblin was patrolling right now was quite far away from Dawn's current location.
Right after fighting monstrous bastards that almost killed their king, they were able to sweep most of the monsters living here and make the place the safest part of the forest.
That fact alone speaks volumes of how much they were willing to go for Dawn.
Anyway, as the three goblins continued running, they soon arrived at their destination.
They may have been destroyed in the last battle, but they were still blessed goblins.
It was only natural that they would be fast if they started running.
As they landed on the ground with quiet steps, a voice quickly cut in between them.
As this place didn't have many goblins, the three goblins were able to find out the owner of the voice.
It was Didi.
"You're here." Didi spoke as he approached Ika, Dal, and Una.
Didi's face wasn't the best one, and his eyes were...hollow. It's something to be expected as he could only run from enemies.
And as the three goblins turned their heads towards Didi, another voice cut in between them.
It was Hig.
"Karkas is waiting."
The three goblins didn't answer the two of them and just followed as Didi urged them to.
Even Ika, who had a bright mood before, couldn't speak up right now.
Why? It was because of the pressure she was feeling.
In fact, she felt pressured ever since she started running. It was as if the whole forest is under control by someone or something!
Why was she feeling pressured when the storm has passed?
It was easy to guess as this was the first time that the goblins messed up so badly.
'Karkas is probably angry...'
It was because of Karkas, who was furious about the fact that the king had a near-death experience.
It was the anger of a servant.
