Chapter 60: South (end)
Chapter 60: South (end)
The goblins composed of the Elder and the others marched on the second village as soon as the attack on the first village started.
They were worried about the safety of Dawn, but since he approved it, there's nothing they can do.
And when they can see the village right in front of their eyes, Karkas approached Didi.
"Didi, do we attack or wait?"
The one who was leading these goblins wasn't the Elder or Karkas; it was Didi.
Only one reason exists why Didi was chosen to lead them despite being the way he is.
It was through the recommendation of Wos, who was familiar with the Three Big Villages.
"Well, we should follow what that guy said. We won't waste any time in doing so."
Karkas fully knows how effective Wos' plan would be in conquering the second village.
Wos and Mos was the son of a village chief; the village chief's knowledge is passed down to both of them.
They are much more knowledgeable about how to make the goblins submit and weak.
Karkas raised his hand and spoke loudly for everyone to hear.
"Alright. We walk to their village and deliver this village to the king!"
"Uwaaaaah!" The goblins cheered when they saw the signal that allowed them to make noise.
Although they had to be quiet so the third village wouldn't know, they didn't care anymore.
The Three Big Villages' weakness is any of those villages; if one gets taken down, the two would soon follow.
And since their king is the one who would bring down the first village, it was already considered done.
"Make more noises! Make them know that we are here!"
"Ohhhh!"
With their determination, the goblins marched on to the second village.
****
The goblins reached the second village in no time, and because of their loud footsteps and cheering, they were received by a hostile army of goblins.
They were staring at each other with an intensity that it wouldn't be weird if a spark erupted between them.
However, despite that, no one attacked.
To be precise, the enemies were being held back by their own village chief.
"Why have you come here, the goblin that has the mark of the Cave?"
The village chief, Razta, talked to Didi, who was in front. After all, Didi looks like the chief right now from his size.
"I only have one demand. Serve the king who has sent me here!"
"King? Do you mean to say that someone else is leading you?"
For Razta, whether the king of the goblins exists or not doesn't matter. What caught his eye the most is that there is someone who is leading these goblins.
And the fact that he's not here means that he has more goblin resources and strength in his arsenal.
"That's right! The king has sent me here; the mark of the Cave proves it!"
Didi put his right arm forward as if to brag about it then he used the power given to him.
As a goblin who has the mark of the Cave, he knows how to use it. The power given to him is something he couldn't understand. However, his instincts helped him, to some extent.
"Imperial!"
It was then.
The still and calm tattoos on the right arm of Didi moved sideways. It was circulating Didi's arm with a speed that couldn't be described by the goblins.
Didi's eyes turned gold, and it showered the enemy goblins standing before him.
"Kneel before the king!"
The mark rotating in Didi's arm soon flew towards the enemy goblins and entered their bodies.
And something mysterious happened.
The goblins who were hostile to the group of Didi were kneeling one by one.
Even the blessed goblins couldn't resist.
"Kuh!"
If there were a goblin who was resisting, it would be the chief, Razta. After all, he is a goblin who attained his strength with no helping hand.
Even if the Imperial were a power given by the cave of Regalia, the Blessings of the Battlefield wouldn't betray him.
However...
Thud.
Razta's knees fell to the ground, his head lowered.
"I-I surrender..."
This is one of the Authorities given to the goblins who have the mark of the Cave, Absolute Order!
After Razta's surrender, a message popped out in Didi's brain.
[Position: A chief under the Great Chieftain]
His position changed as these were his goblins, but technically, all of them were Dawn's subordinates.
"We're done; the Blessings of the Battlefield has recognized them."
Didi spoke to the other blessed goblins who went with him before taking a look at his arm.
"It sure went down..."
The mark or tattoos' size or numbers lessened after using the Absolute Order.
The tattoos covered Didi's forearm, but now, it only covered half of his forearm.
It was because he used the other half in making the goblins here his subordinates.
These were the privileges given to a goblin who has the mark, so his safety would be assured.
However, none of that matters to Didi right now as he believes that the king should be the only ruler of the goblins.
"I can't help but feel it is a waste of your power. We could have used them if ever we meet a hostile member of the Five Great Clans."
Karkas said as he also took a look at the mark. His red eyes were burning fiercer than ever.
"I also feel that way. But, our real forces only number less than 200 if we exclude Wos and Mos' goblins. If the king captured the first village, we would have more. And if we add the second village, the third village would be a piece of cake."
The Elder gave his thoughts as he also looked over the wonder called the mark of the Cave.
The Elder wasn't wrong in what he stated. They were lucky that Womo was foolish and gained his goblins, but those goblins have no loyalty.
This plan was to make them familiar with the king while making them see his strength.
After all, fear is the best way to make someone docile.
"You both are right! Anyway, let's prepare. Karkas, you said that there would be a formation this time?"
Didi spoke to Karkas after feeling weird from receiving the two goblin's hot gazes.
He felt as if he was being examined in a zoo.
"Ah, yes. Us, the king's real forces, would be behind while the goblins that we forced into submission will be in front. This way, we would be able to avoid casualties on our side while chopping down some of the disobedient ones."
"Hmm. I don't get it. Well, it's you."
Didi laughed while walking towards his new allies. He wanted to make sure that they would remain obedient.
He saw the chief who was talking to him before and took his step towards him.
As he neared, Razta kept lowering his head until it touched the ground.
Didi then bent his knee to talk to Razta.
"Oy. You understand, right? The king will come here soon, so you better make your goblins stay with their tails between their legs."
"I understand. But, is it really the k-king?"
It was then.
Thud!
Didi's right arm struck Razta's head. He pushed Razta deeper into the ground, and it made a crack in the land.
Didi spoke while he kept scraping the poor goblin's head against the hard ground.
"You don't get to question the existence of the king. If you were any other blessed goblin, I would have killed you for your impudence."
Didi pulled the head of Razta and brought it closer to his face. Razta's destroyed face was seen, but Didi couldn't care less about it.
Even though he hadn't learned it yet, Aura could be seen emanating from his body.
"You have not gained the Approval of the King."
"!"
Approval of the King. This is something that the goblins know, even if they have not been blessed by the battlefield.
Every goblin is afraid of not gaining or receiving the Approval of the King, for this means that they would not be a part of the goblins which the king will lead.
Even the Five Great Clans has to get the Approval of the King before they could serve him.
Yet this goblin who was only forced to submit actually dares to question His existence.
"You better fix that mouth of yours."
"Y-yes."
Razta finally muttered a word.
Hearing his reply, Didi let go of his head and walked back to where Karkas was.
Razta only looked at Didi with downcast eyes. After all, even if he wanted to fight back, he couldn't.
Didi already had used the Absolute Order on Razta, and on his back stands the king.
There's no way Razta could even muster up a disobedient will.
In fact, what he felt when he heard the King's existence was one of that zealously.
'I must succeed in gaining his Approval!'
Resolved to serve the king better than any other, Razta's flames lit up even fiercer.
