Chapter 162 Second Master [Part 1]
"Hmm." Zack hummed while looking around the execution room, no amount of surprise visible on his face. It was as though he had almost expected it to happen.
Nothing in his life went the way he wanted so he wasn't surprised when he heard Hayden say that the man on the throne was not the ruler.
Zack had already expected himself to be in an illusion or at least that's what he made himself believe.
"So edgy villain, third-rate villain, a random villain who will never be seen again, or a time pass villain to get through for the time being before reaching the final boss?" Zack asked out loud as he heard a cackle.
"Kekeke, you are funny. Who said I was a villain or a hero?"
Zack suddenly felt something heavy land on his head as he stared up to see a young teenager sitting on top of his head. The weird thing was that Zack felt that the teenager was barely five kilograms heavy which was impossible.
"What is possible and impossible was never decided. You just haven't found a way to do it." The teenager said as he planted his right foot on Zack's head and jumped down.
He was around five feet six inches tall with an average body. His hair on the other hand was a mixture of bright red and purple mixed with mischievous yellow eyes.
His hair was kept short as the teenager cackled once again.
"Kekeke, don't look at me like that, or I might just blush. The last time that happened, the world went up in flames." The teenager then started floating in the air before extending his hand toward Zack. "My name is Odin and I am a god. Nice to meet you."
Zack and Hayden: "…"
"Eh? Why do you look as though I just told you that I am a flat underaged loli?" Odin asked with a confused expression as he tilted his head.
Zack on the other hand quickly pinched his cheek before taking out Gugnir on instinct. He pointed the blue lance towards Odin before raising an eyebrow.
"Was or is this your lance?" He asked as Odin smiled. His eyes burned with mischief as he nodded.
"That lance belongs to both me and Kai despite what that dumbass might have told you. For me, it's a beacon of raw energy that could be used to alter the laws of the world in a physical form.
For him, it's an anchor that allows him to use his power to see timelines to control time, making it a non-physical form. Its power is the same whether in his hand or mine." Odin explained as he touched the tip of the lance before grinning.
"Looks like the time is nearing. You will be remembering everything soon Zack. You just have to meet her." Odin said with a grin as he suddenly patted Zack and Hayden's heads.
"You mean everything from the past?" Zack couldn't help but ask as Odin nodded. The supposed teenage god didn't say anything as he continued to float in the air.
"Is that the only reason his majesty appeared here?" Hayden asked in a respectful tone which made Zack raise his eyebrows.
'Looks like he is paying respect to Odin. I guess he is a strong god after all.' For some reason, Zack felt casual around Odin.
Perhaps it was due to the reason he had wielded his weapon in his last life or perhaps it was something else. He wasn't feeling any pressure on his body and Odin didn't seem to be emitting one anyways.
"I was here for another reason too. I am just here to tell you that the underworld in the Heridor and Abasmoth kingdoms as well as the Julius Empire have fallen due to their leaders dying mysteriously. I will go back now."
[ Thank the ice you are back or else I might have been next. That's why I don't like humans who have constant dangers around themselves. ]
[ If meeting a god is considered dangerous, I guess we were at the peak level. ] Zack replied as Snowie raised her eyebrows or at least sent the image of her doing so.
[ And which god did you meet? ]
[ Odin ]
[ … ]
Snowie was left speechless by what she heard but when she saw the lance in Zack's hand, she quickly shut up her mouth. All of it started to make sense as she took a deep breath and bowed down to Zack.
[ Disciple greets Second Master. ]
Now it was Zack's turn to be speechless. He was about to ask her what she meant before his gaze fell on an item he had placed in his inventory long ago.
'So that's where all the memories are coming from.' Zack thought as he looked at the memory ball and sighed.
He had gotten it in his inventory alongside Chastiefol a long time ago. He tried to take the ball out of the inventory yet couldn't do it.
Before he could think of anything, both he and Snowie were covered with a light blue glow. Both of them heard a clicking sound inside their minds as though a lock had just been unlocked inside their minds.
---
"Snowie, fate is a fickle person."
"Fate is a person, second master?"
"Many say fate is a lady but I hate to believe that someone like fate will do something like that to my handsome self."
"…"
"Anyways, some things only happen because fate tries to make them happen. But in the end, the choices you make matter the most."
"I will remember this."
---
"Looks like someone forgot their master's teachings." Zack suddenly said with a smile as he and Snowie stood in a white ice cube.
Snowie had turned into a human with only her white wings, tail, and eyes following from her dragon form.
She looked like a beautiful girl who gently bowed her head down in front of Zack.
"I remember them now, second master. Fate indeed wills for something to happen but it was our choices that lead us to meet each other again."
