Chapter 241 : Brave
Shane and everyone else on the continent received the same notification from the system.
"Regional Server Merge… Boss Raid…" Shane muttered as he continued examining the announcement.
[ … In the Boss Raid Event, a formidable Zombie awaits your team. It requires your combined strength and strategy to overcome such a foe. Gear up, strategize, and stand ready to face this challenge. More details about this event will be announced at the date of its commencement.
Finally, be prepared for the third Zombie Wave.
Once the Boss Raid Event was concluded, the third Zombie Wave is set to surge in just 15 days. It will finally be a weaker Zombie Wave, and it aims to make everyone rich! However, they can still become dangerous if you're not careful. They can still overrun your defenses, so ensure you are fully prepared to repel this relentless onslaught.
Stay vigilant, fortify your positions, and work together to survive.
Remember, your survival depends on effective coordination, resource management, and courage in the face of danger.
Prepare wisely, bolster your defenses, and may fortune favor the brave as you confront these impending challenges. ]
Just like before, the announcement ended with some encouraging words as if they truly care about the Survivors who were risking their lives in the continent.
"This is a huge update…" Raze muttered.
"This Regional Server Merge will definitely change the current leaderboard ranking." Kael muttered.
"Oh… Now that you said it, does it mean that our Clan Leader, Shadow Strider, will no longer be on the top next time?" Tessa added with a teasing tone.
"Haha! There's no way someone will beat our boss. Our Clan will easily fall behind since there are too few of us. However, for the individual ranking, I think our Clan Leader will still be the best!" Lyra added.
"Ahem… You won't get anything from me even if you praise me, Lyra." Shane said while shaking his head.
"It's my ranking that will surely go down. I'll have to raid a few dungeons to level up faster." Raze said she only leveled up a few times in the previous wave.
Darwin, on the other hand, silently listened to their conversations and smiled.
"It seems that something interesting had just happened." Darwin said.
"Right… We apologize for that. There's an announcement that we heard about as Foreign Survivors, and it's quite important. Now, let's get back to business." Shane said as he then turned to Raze and the others.
"I am planning to purchase all of these Recruitment Stones. You can buy the recruitment stones you want, and I'll take all the remaining ones." Shane said.
Of course, this made everyone excited. They knew that Shane possessed the wealth to purchase all of these Recruitment Stones. So now that they have the chance to select first, they were definitely excited!
Kael nodded in acknowledgment of Shane's decision.
"Ah, the generosity and foresight of our esteemed Clan Leader. Your wealth and wisdom know no bounds," he remarked as if to curry favor with Shane.
"If you need to borrow many, just say it." Shane replied.
"Hahaha!" The others laughed as they could also tell that Kael was being too obvious.
"Ahem… It's not like that at all. I still have some Zombie Cores with me. I didn't spend them all in my Survivor Store." Kael hastily replied.
"Very well… Let me choose. I want one of the Epic Recruitment Stones and two of the Normal Recruitment Stones for 1,320 Zombie Cores." Raze suddenly said. She doesn't have a big reason for selecting this. It was simply because the epic one was the most expensive item among them all, and she the two normal stones might give her maids or nanny to take care of Roan...
Anyway, even if not, it wasn't a big deal for her.
Lyra then joined the conversation and opted for two Special Recruitment Stones. She was eager to enlist individuals of good talent, and she was hoping that they were warriors! As a Sharpshooter, she really needed someone who could stay beside her and fight for her in melee combat.
"Mhmm… I can probably buy this bright yellow stone…" Tessa added as her gaze remained on the Master Recruitment Stone…
"If the one I recruited isn't suited for what I plan them to do, can I just let them work here in the estate? I'm just concerned since they will be an additional mouth to feed." Tessa asked Shane.
"Of course, it's fine… You're part of the Clan. Please think of this place as our home. As long as the one you recruited would work here, food wouldn't be a problem." Shane replied.
Raze smiled at this and also shared her thoughts. "That's what I planned as well. Most of the people helping us here were summoned by Shane… It's also time to help him with our people."
Jaxon then mirrored Lyra's decision and chose to acquire two Special Recruitment Stones. He was envisioning to obtain a cadre of skilled allies who would stand by his side.
Lastly, Kael, with some unease and excitement, decided to invest in two Rare Recruitment Stones. He had a bit more Zombie Cores, and he was also drawn to the allure of individuals possessing rare and invaluable skills that could prove useful...
"This purchase may deplete my savings, but the potential gains far outweigh the cost…" he remarked with a wry smile. There was a sense of satisfaction evident in his eyes as he embraced the decision he made. There was no backing out.
As the group finalized their selections, they gathered the money or Zombie Cores they needed before giving it to Shane instead...
In the end, Shane received 2,820 Zombie Cores from the members of his Clan for the stones they bought…
Overall, the 30 Recruitment Stones were worth 7,820 Zombie Cores.
Perhaps, if not for the Zombie Wave, Shane wouldn't be able to purchase them. Enjoy stories on m_v lem|p-yr
Nonetheless, before paying the Zombie Cores to the old merchant, Shane curiously looked at Darwin and asked a crucial question.
"Sir Darwin… May I ask how are you protecting your wares? Are you not afraid of getting robbed?"
