For Sale. Fallen Lady. Never Used.

Chapter 307: Lindelheit (3)

“Hmm. True. My chest is smaller than Helena’s. But my legs are longer, aren’t they? They call this ‘slender,’ apparently.”

“??? Wait, why is the conversation going in that direction?”

“Because Yandel started by looking at my chest?”

“…”

Sigh.

I’ve been caught.

But I’d like to clear up the misunderstanding. It’s not as if I was leering at Clara’s chest with some lecherous intent.

Until a moment ago, I was sitting, and Clara was standing. Naturally, my eye level aligned with her chest.

“For that, you sure stared for a long time.”

“…That was also beyond my control.”

Admittedly, my gaze lingered longer than it should have if it were just a coincidence. And yes, it gave away what I was looking at.

But couldn’t that be considered inevitable?

I’d been holding back ever since I promised to train together with Faye after returning to the Academy, and then—bam—suddenly, there was a chest right in front of me.

Given that my instincts were still heightened from the draconic transformation, how could I have looked away so quickly?

But continuing this topic would only make things worse, so I had to change the subject.

It was definitely not because Elisha, Iris, and Iona simultaneously pinched my sides.

While Clara patted her chest with one hand and her thigh with the other, I deliberately averted my gaze and struggled to come up with a new topic.

Clara, as if she knew everything, smirked and spoke.

“Well, to be serious for a moment, I’m the normal one, and Helena is the exception.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes. These past 300 years without a Saint have caused a lot of knowledge related to Saints to be lost, but it wasn’t like that during my time.”

In Clara’s era, it was possible to meet not only the previous Saint but also, occasionally, the one before that to seek advice.

Methods to awaken a Saint’s potential, ways to utilize their granted powers, techniques to share consciousness—all of this was more widely understood back then.

“Of course, even if we forget, the Lord can always teach us again. But as you know, the Righteous Radiance has a bit of an… intuitive approach.”

“She does tend to resolve things more by instinct than calculation.”

“Past Saints claimed it was impossible for humans to fully comprehend a God’s will and thus called oracles vague, but that’s just a convenient excuse. Anyway, the Church documented information and training methods about Saints as much as they could.”

“I recall you mentioning that before. You planned to teach Helena, right?”

“I did… but as I taught her, I realized something. Current Saints don’t need those ‘cheap tricks’ at all.”

“???”

Calling methods to wield a Saint’s power ‘cheap tricks’ left me baffled, and I blinked at her in confusion. Clara, with a playful snicker, narrowed her eyes.

“Hmm. That cute face might work on other women, but it doesn’t work on me, you know?”

“When did I ever—”

As I protested indignantly, Clara laughed heartily before continuing.

“Don’t overthink it. I mean it literally. The training methods for Saints involve a process of becoming more like the God they serve. But Helena didn’t need that—she already resembled her God.”

“Ah, I see.”

“Look at her. She can hold casual conversations with her God now. That usually takes years of training! Yet she managed it in mere months. Of course, this was made possible by recent events that brought her closer to Righteous Radiance.”

That made sense.

Everyone had been growing stronger rapidly, but Helena seemed to be advancing even faster than the rest.

Well, it was only natural—she had essentially maxed out her Priest tree and was leveling up from there. The efficiency was bound to be exceptional.

Of course, I’d gained a lot from recent events as well.

Though I wasn’t entirely in my right mind at the time, I succeeded in increasing the density of my magic while burning divine power.

I couldn’t replicate that feat yet, but I could now enhance my magic’s density more effectively than before.

Normally, using water-based magic in a desert was challenging, and earth-based magic would grow stronger due to the environment. But now, even if I lit a fire underwater, its potency wouldn’t diminish. Water-based magic would still be stronger, of course.

While my magic hadn’t grown more powerful per se, its dominance had increased significantly.

Besides these revelations, I also gained something from the system.

As Clara continued grumbling, I half-heartedly agreed while opening a notification I received a few days ago.

Ding!

[Cultist Defeated!]

You have vanquished Fiona de Levantin, leader of the Boiling Silence!

Additionally, you successfully uncovered deeply hidden spies and thwarted an Apostle’s awakening, dealing a devastating blow to the Boiling Silence.

The Boiling Silence can no longer exert major influence in the Levantin Empire and will face intense scrutiny in other nations.

This is one of your most remarkable achievements yet—so great that even the Celestial Gods cannot help but praise you!

But be cautious. The Boiling Silence is petty and vindictive.

Having lost their vessel, foundation, and divine power—not to mention suffering humiliation—their grudge runs deep.

…And the Evil Gods who hate you are not limited to the Boiling Silence.

All stats greatly increased.

Trait: Blessing of All Gods (A) has grown.

Trait: Cultist Detection (B) acquired.

The rewards were brief but largely what I expected.

My build was nearly complete at this point, with little room for further growth.

If I wanted, I could grind hidden pieces in dungeons to upgrade my “Amateur Treasure Hunter” title.

Or I could go through an incredibly convoluted process to unlock advanced martial traits.

But since all my traits and stats were centered around magic, continuing to focus on magic training was far more advantageous—especially as I was on the verge of reaching the level of a High Mage.

In other words, the traits I was currently developing were especially valuable.

Stats were the foundation of everything, so their importance was obvious. But the Blessing of All Gods was even more critical.

When facing the power of the Boiling Silence, I realized how serious the mental corruption of an Evil God could be.

Now I understood why the Blessing, bestowed collectively by all the Good Gods, focused on resistance as a defensive trait.

Even though it wasn’t the Goddess’s true form—just a fragment of her consciousness—it left everyone except the Swordmaster and the Saintess practically immobilized.

If faced with the Goddess’s true form, even superhumans who have surpassed their limits would likely find themselves sluggish.

In H&A, players who entered the final chapter without proper resistance builds often ended up overwhelmed by debuffs and struggling miserably.

Still… unfortunately, the Blessing of All Gods did not rank up.

That wasn’t surprising, given how hard it was to upgrade. It only reached rank A after defending against the invasion of Solaris.

If it ranked up again already, that would be far more peculiar.

The last reward, Cultist Detection, was one of the rewards for defeating Fiona.

Originally, the reward included several other bonuses, but since I defeated Fiona before her Apostle awakening, I only received the detection trait.

Still, Cultist Detection was an incredibly useful auxiliary trait.

The problem was, as with needing to defeat a monster that could create storms to obtain storm-resistant armor, this trait required extreme effort.

In H&A, it was often considered a white elephant because acquiring it meant nearly annihilating the Boiling Silence Church, composed of assassins and spies, and defeating Fiona, their leader.

What’s left for Cultist Detection to detect when most of the stealth-capable cultists have already been eliminated?

It was more efficient to use wide-range detection magic, which would provide broader information, including terrain.

But things were different now.

While most of the Boiling Silence Church’s spies embedded in key positions had been expelled, and Fiona had been defeated, this was all limited to the Levantin Empire.

The Boiling Silence Church still had many followers remaining. Having stayed hidden for 300 years, they hadn’t been thoroughly eradicated.

Based on what the Boiling Silence said and the final message from the system, it seemed they were preparing to return to their original profession—assassination.

In such a scenario, Cultist Detection would prove extremely useful.

【Cultist Detection (B)】

You have mastered the art of hunting cultists.

Most cultists cannot escape your gaze. At times, you may even discern traps they have set.

Feel free to boast. You’re practically the Grim Reaper of cultists.

Detect hidden cultists within a certain range.

Occasionally detect traps set by cultists.

The detection range varied depending on the cultist’s level and how strong their stealth or disguise blessings were.

For example, followers of the God of Tainted Unity with no stealth-related blessings could be detected from maximum range. But for high priests of the Boiling Silence, detection would require closer proximity.

The same principle applied to trap detection.

The more effort put into hiding the trap and the more powerful the blessings of stealth and camouflage applied, the lower the detection probability.

When combined with detection magic, it would render most assassination attempts and traps ineffective.

Of course, there were exceptions, like boss-tier assassins.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Even so, this was precisely the kind of trait I needed right now.

Finally, I opened my status window to check my stats.

I didn’t expect my magic stat to increase—it was already just three levels away from the cap.

It’d likely take a few more major growth events to see it rise further.

As for the other stats, without growth-enhancing traits, a one-level increase was expected.

It was a little disappointing that my agility stat didn’t improve, but it had probably accumulated enough unseen experience to rise next time, just like with the Blessing of All Gods.

As I smiled to myself, enjoying some rare rest—

Knock, knock, knock.

Someone rapped on the door.

Shortly after, a polite voice informed me of the final schedule at the Imperial Palace.
